Dr. Gannon received his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1982. He received his training in implant prosthetics training in 1986. Since that time, Dr. Gannon has continued his education in the field of implant dentistry, always keeping up with the latest research and technology as it develops.
A single missing tooth surrounded by healthy teeth has unique demands. The challenge is to replace your now missing tooth for both appearance and function, without harming your remaining teeth or gum tissue. Your concern for a natural appearance is designed into our system. Besides good function during chewing, the ideal replacement must look like natural teeth, both to you and to others.
A natural tooth consists of a crown (the part above the gumline) and a root (the part below the gumline). The root, which is anchored to the jaw, holds the tooth in place. A dental implant is a small titanium fixture that serves as the replacement for the root portion of the missing tooth. Titanium is used rather than other materials because it is the most compatible with the human body. The implant is placed in the upper or lower jaw. Over time, the implant bonds with the bone and serves as an anchor for the replacement tooth.

I highly recommend Dr. Patrick Gannon and Dr. Nellie Gannon. They and their staff have excellent service. Last Wednesday I experienced pain as I chewed. I was in fear that the pain would only worsen into a horror story and asked my family for a reference. They all spoke very highly of Dr. Gannon's practice that has been in operation for nearly forty years.
Late in the afternoon I was able to schedule an appointment for 8 a.m. the next morning. I arrived the next morning and was taken care of immediately. Dr. Nellie Gannon took care of me along with her colleague (dental hygienist) who took x-rays to discover the good news, my teeth were not broken and didn't need a root canal. It was just something very minor that was immediately fixed. Two days later everything was back to normal. Thank you Dr. Nellie Gannon and Dr. Patrick Gannon!

Dr. Gannon's entire office is amazing. The staff is on top of everything and is so personable. Dr. Nelly and Dr. Gannon are so wonderful and give excellent service. I was having dental issues that were keeping me up through the night, and they went above and beyond to help me diagnose the issue. Dr. Nelly took me last minute because of my pain and both Dr. Gannon and Dr. Nelly were so patient and worked on resolving the issue so efficiently. They truly care about their patients and go above and beyond to make you feel better. 10/10 recommend Dr. Gannon's office!

I recommend Dr. Gannon to my friends, family and anyone I hear looking for a dentist. He has been my dentist for YEARS. He has an incredible talent with the numbing process where you don't even feel the needle. Winner in my book! The office staff (Shelly) is incredibly personable. The hygenists (I hope that is the correct title) are spot on with their meticulous attention to detail.
They run a tight ship with their schedule so you will only have a minimal wait, if any. They are more than happy throw in an extra container of floss, toothbrush or even electric toothbrush heads when you ask nicelyREMEMBER.FLOSS IS YOUR FRIEND!

I can't personally speak on Dr. Gannons work but as far as his receptionist or dental assistant Shelley she has a lot of audacity and a disrespectful tone in her voice when she calls other companies. She really needs to learn how to have some sense like you know where you work if you hate your job or your life just say that.

I have had about 12 procedures done by Dr. Gannon in last few months. He is always punctual. I have never waited past my appointment time. He explains every single thing he is going to do which creates a great deal of relaxation and comfort for anybody undergoing dental care. His assistants are all very professional and they also treated me with a very caring attitude. I'm a senior citizen and have seen my share of dentists during my long life, Dr. Gannon and his staff are the best I've ever seen.
