Your first visit at Shuayb Dental usually consists of an exam and a thorough analysis of your treatment options. In most cases, treatment can begin on the day of the initial consultation, unless of course, the patient requires a more intense treatment plan. Patients with a more involved medical history may require a second evaluation/appointment to begin treatment.

At Shuayb Dental we provide Sedation Dentistry to our patients who may be fearful or experience anxiety, this provides a calm, comfortable, and stress-free experience for the patient. Some patients may want to rely on anti-anxiety medication to calm their nerves before a dental procedure. Benzodiazepines which are generally prescribed by dentists include Valium, Xanax, Ativan, and Halcion.

I was very impressed with the whole practice. The receptionist Mel was so friendly and very helpful and Katia took my X-rays and was also very friendly and put me at ease. Dr. Shuayb has a very nice bedside manner and was very informative and answered all my questions and explained what treatments I will be receiving. I am so happy that I found this dental practice.
I have been to a few locally that I have not been impressed with at all. It was a breath of fresh air to finally find a Dentist/office staff that made me feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend Shuayb Dental.

Simply the best dentistry team in brooksville! I am beyond grateful for all the ladies and the doctor at Shuayb Dental! Thank you all for your patience and your attention to detail! I underwent two tooth extractions and implants months apart from each other, and they made the whole ordeal an easy going experience! Procedures were super fast and felt nothing at all! Thank you for saving my beautiful smile!

Everyone is so nice and professional. Pam cleaned my teeth this time and she did a good job. I would add another star if booking future appointments for hygienist was faster. Most of them are booked six months out. I like to go every four months which makes it tough for me. But overall I still recommend them to friends and neighbors.

I formerly complained about Dr. Mohammad Shuayb D.M.D for failure to follow the Standards of Practice issued by the Joint Commissions National Patient Safety goals and is negligent in doing so. I was scheduled to have tooth #32 (right lower wisdom tooth) extracted on 4/14/22 at 11:30am. I have rescheduled this appointment 3 times because I was nervous of the procedure itself and its high post-surgical risks.
I'm called to the room and was laying in the chair, noticing my sweaty palms, high heart rate and blood pressure score of 122/85 and could overhear the staff, as it was hard to ignore. The doctor was trying to have someone run an errand and allow them to drive his car and was scurrying to tell her where the keys were and last minute instructions. Lets just say, I felt he was in a frantic hurry and not focusing on his appointments, even more specifically, me.
He came in and asked Maria, the hygienist "Who is this and what is she doing?" referring to me, and she replied "EXT32". An unknown face to me came in and asked "How are you?" and I replied with "I am nervous" to which he did not respond. He picked up the analgesic syringe and inserted it into the left side of my mouth, which was the wrong side! I quickly pulled back and looked at the hygienist and she replied with "Doctor, its number 32" and he said "Oh, for some reason I have 17 in my head" they both chuckled he pulled out the needle and inserted it for the second time, on the right, correct side.
They both leave and tears start coming from my eyes. Moments later Maria returns and asked if I'm numb yet and I say "I can't do this, I'm so sorry". The doctor comes in and says "I've done a thousand of these, it's easy. I'll just do it real quick". I said "Forgive me, but I was already nervous about this procedure and when you numbed the wrong side of my mouth it didn't help the situation so I can't do this" and his response was to simply walk out. Maria asked "Do you want to reschedule or see an oral surgeon and be put to sleep?
I replied "Yes" and continued to sit there still crying and shaking. Maria asked me to follow her to the front for a referral to an oral surgeon as I was probably making a scene and the receptionist told me she would bring it to my car if I wanted to wait there. At no point did anyone come to help or ease my mind. No staff or doctors offered any assistance and just hurried me out the door.
I am upset today because I had never met this doctor, he had never seen my mouth, he did not introduce himself and when he found out I was nervous offered no assurance or aide. He did not verify I was the right patient, he did not verify the procedure and did not apologize or acknowledge any wrong-doing. His behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional and negligent.
His office is a family owned business with this on their website "You are in the best hands with our professional, caring team". He was in no way professional, or caring and I would warn against anyone who plans to obtain his services. I believe he is practicing below minimum standards with negligence not because he had rude bedside manner, but because he did not follow the Standards of Practice issued by the Joint Commission to verify patient and procedure prior to surgery.
If it not for his teammate, he would have proceeded to extract the wrong tooth. To anyone who suffers from anxiety when it comes to necessary dental work, Dr Muhammad Shuayb is not the dentist for you because he lacks professionalism, compassion and patience.

I have been going to Shuayb Dental since I was around 10 years old (I'm 26 now). I've always had a great experience and the Dentist took great care of me. However, this past year the service has been super poor. I have been waiting for almost 3 months to get some cavities filled, originally scheduled in October. I have now been cancelled for the third time.
There must be some disconnect between office and Dentist, as I can't even keep an appointment now. Not to mention they call you the day before the appointment so you have no notice to work out scheduling with your job and whatever else you have going on.
