Very clean, bright and comfortable office. Really friendly staff. Dr. Powers is very professional and trustworthy. He has a very calm demeanor.

The hygienist who attended me was probably the best I have ever had. Cleanings are usually a little uncomfortable, but this was without a doubt the most comfortable and pain free cleaning I have ever had. Great job! Great service. I will always recommend Port Orange family dentistry!

From the moment I stepped into the office I was greeted with a smile. The front desk ladies were awesome, my dental technician was super and Dr. Powers was great. They explained everything thoroughly as we went along. Temporary crown is in place and permanent one will be here in 2 weeks. After a bad experience at a different dental office, I was glad to find a good dentist

Office and staff are top notch. They practice gentle dentistry which really means a lot to me. Been going here for at least 15 years and will remain loyal !

A permanent crown became dislodged (intact) while eating dinner on a Friday evening. I contacted the office as soon as it opened on Monday morning. I was able to secure an appointment that same day in the early afternoon. Met Dr. Powers for the first time. He was friendly and reassuring. After an ex-ray was taken, he worked on the crown to ensure proper fit/comfort in my mouth.

He said a new crown may be necessary in the future, but I wasn't pressured into getting one on the spot. I don't have dental insurance, and after speaking to several people, I am comfortable with the fee charged and happy with the service rendered.

Great experience (as far as dental work goes). They got me right in, when I developed a painful toothache. After a quick diagnosis, I was given prescriptions for pain and infection. The pain was gone in two days and the infection was gone within 6 days.

I had a cavity filled. The novocaine was administered with out pain! Absolutely the best experience I've had at the dentist. I highly recommend Port Orange Family Dentist.

EDIT: I'm so happy with how Dr. Powers and his team helped me get my smile back! They made the whole process effortless for me. I'm grateful to them for their care and expertise. I had to receive emergency dental care after a car accident. Dr. Powers was able to give me immediate relief from the pain and a plan moving forward to fix my teeth. He was very knowledgeable about his practice and fully explained to me what needed to be done.

I had my first experience with Dr. Powers (the new Doctor) yesterday and I was very happy with the experience. He is pleasant and clearly explained everything that he would be doing. His technique is exceptional and I was never uncomfortable while he was completing my procedure. As has always been the case at this office the dental assistants, technicians and staff are some of the best medical professionals that I have had the pleasure of caring for me.

Everyone is very nice. They explain everything about your treatment plan and take the time to answer questions. The ladies at the front desk are also very nice and professional. They are helpful answering questions about insurance and billing. I have never had to wait very long, 5 minutes at the most.

Hygienist was excellent. Office staff is polite. Wish this office accepted my insurance. Services are becoming too pricey. Changes in ownership and/or management are less becoming.

Dr. Hovencamp did a great job filling a deep cavity. I didn't feel any pain and everything went smoothly. The staff are friendly and efficient as well. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Best dentist I've ever had! All the girls that work here are fantastic! Very kind and personable. Everything always goes smoothly. I'm someone who hates needles and she's so good I hardly feel it. I've had nothing but great experiences there.

My hygienist was super sweet and very patient with me and my anxiety issues. Super gentle as well. The doctor was great too, explained everything to me and answered all the questions I had. I definitely found a new home for my oral healthcare needs!

First time here and I have to say it was an excellent experience. Moved to the area a couple years ago and had to find a good dentist and I think we struck gold. Very pleased with the care so far. Everyone was extremely nice and everyone was very knowledgeable from the insurance coverage to the dental hygienist and the dentist herself. Experiences like this almost make it a pleasure to have to go to the dentist.

I have had horrible dental experiences starting from childhood that scarred me and straight into adulthood. I literally cannot say more amazing things about everyone here. You have hand selected the perfect staff starting from the minute you walk in the front door with the front office staff. The hygienists (love Alicia!) are all very loving, tender, and caring people and Dr. Hovencamp is the best dentist I have ever met in my life! No shaming, no guilt, no anxiety ridden stress, no pain, just pure amazing chair-side manner!
