I graduated from the University of Montreal in 2016 and never stopped learning since. Providing optimal dental care is a passion of mine that keeps getting bigger and bigger. Not only do I enjoy all the aspects of dentistry, I have also obtained certification in Invisalign, an orthodontic technique with clear aligners that can offer my patients a wonderful smile that spreads joy and provides confidence.
I love interacting with my patients, becoming a part of their lives, and making them feel comfortable during their visit. Because I work so closely with our patients, I get to know them and I really enjoy the friendships that develop. My job duties include providing preventive dental care, administering local anesthetics and nitrous oxide, performing periodontal treatments, and treatment planning. I also help my patients' understand how best to keep their teeth and gums clean and healthy between visits.

Even with all the COVID stuff my experience has always been stellar and seamless here. I've never felt safer anywhere. Today I had the privilege of having a dentist do my cleaning. It was good to know they step up to the plate in a pinch and alway remain professional. If you're a dental wimp this is the place to be because they offer sedation. Dental phobics need not worry here and I love them for that.

From check in to check out, everyone is always pleasant, warm, and compassionate. My hygienists are fun and kind, and each of the doctors I've met have been wonderful. I've recently started seeing Dr. Lee, who is delightful. Today, she was sympathetic to the angst I had about my filling and created a comforting and comfortable experience. So grateful to have these guys.

Very difficult to get and maintain an appointment at this place. They cancel appointments with out notice. Then don't do anything to make up for it, just push you out another 6 months. I'm sure with expensive procedures they'd get you right in, but not so much with cleanings. I've had 3 appointments canceled with out notice. Dental staff is great if you can ever get in. Overall such a unpleasant experience. I do not recommend.

DO NOT go here. I have been a patient for over 20 years of Howard dental, originally with Dale at the old location across from the hospital. Scheduling has become horrible, and this was pre COVID. They are just using it as an excuse for poor management and putting profit over care. Up until about 5 years ago I NEVER had them call to cancel and reschedule, now this happens almost every time.
Up until about 5 years ago if I needed to to reschedule I was always able to get a new appointment within a week or two. Then about 5 years ago it started creeping to unacceptable lengths. I call 2 weeks before appt to reschedule and they give dates 3-4 months out. I am paying for insurance for two checkups and cleanings a year and since 2018 have only had one year with two appointments in the year.
Well now it is just unacceptable by any stretch. I called last week on January 20 to reschedule for an appointment for next week. The soonest available was September. 8 MONTHS! Again this was happening before COVID so they are just using it as an excuse. That's it I am DONE. If you can't stop accepting new patients, if you can't even care for the ones you already have then you are everything your father wasn't.
Guess you gotta pay for that big building somehow. Such a shame Dale did great and patient care was first and foremost and he kept it small and personal, what Josh turned the Dr Howard name into is unfortunate. He has personally ruined a 40 plus year name in dentistry in Dover. But that is what happens when someone inherits the hard work of someone else and didn't do Jack to build that reputation of good work with strong patient care.
New motto for this place "maybe good work but we'll make it difficult if not near impossible for you to find out" Obviously there is something up with how the revolving door of partner dentists never stopped, I know that there is turnover as new dentists are looking for a place to get established then go off an start there own practice etc but here it was constant, and consistent new names.
In fact one of my favorites I ran into at a store a few years ago and said hi and asked about them leaving, they were sad and disappointed so I asked why they left. Their response "I am not allowed to talk about it" I didn't press but

Cancelled appointments with out notification. Zero help getting anything sooner. "We will put you on a list". I've been on the list for 6 months. I've had 3 appointments cancelled on me and my daughter with absolutely no help. I found out by calling in the day of my appointment today it was canceled. Their error but no accountability. I'm sure if it was for an expensive procedure I'd be scheduled in no time, but apparently cleanings are at the bottom of the priority list. Dental staff is fantastic, if you can ever get in to see them. But overall Such a headache, I do not recommend

I was a patient here for years. I have since moved on. The lack of vaccination requirement for their staff meant that I and members of my family were put unnecessarily at risk due to the lack of a vaccine mandate in this office. I won't support a healthcare business make this purposeful choice in endangering their patients.

Been going here for years, It uses to be great, but not any more. Not sure what is happening over there but my wife was canceled on twice in a row Her appointment was originally for March, it was pushing out the first till to September and now they are pushing her out again, to March 2022 (a Year later!) When my frustrated wife told them this was unacceptable and said she is considering looking for a new dentist the receptionist simply told her "Okay" and then hung up on her. Well we are now no longer considering it and are officially looking for a new dentist. So sad to see such a drop in quality.

I went in for my cleaning after I had to cancel one of my appointments. I have Christie regularly as my hygienist and she is amazing! She is always so attentive and caring and I always feel in the best hands when I have her taking care of my teeth! Christie just did the most fantastic job. my teeth had some staining and I was feeling extremely self-conscious about it.when I left the office my teeth were sparkling white! And I'm always relaxed when I'm sitting in her chair!

I just love going to the dentist at JD Howard Dental. I've been going here for about 4 years, and I don't think I could go anywhere else. Everyone here is so friendly, kind, and helpful. Their office is always clean and has state of the art technology. I get cleanings 4 times a year, and it's always easy, quick, and painless. I've seen Dr. Ben and Dr.
Mark for check ups, and they're both great and do a great job. I recently had to have a filling done, and Dr. Josh was super caring and did an awesome job. They provided me with a blanket because I was cold and checked in with me every step of the procedure to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. They have also done an amazing job with their Covid-19 safety protocols, and I've felt very safe coming here throughout the pandemic. I highly recommend JD Howard Dental.

I cannot praise JD Howard enough for their time, consideration and hard work. At 32 weeks pregnant, getting a crown on a very sore tooth was not on my radar. Not only did they get me in a couple days later, but Dr. Dan and his assistant (20 weeks pregnant!) stood my entire procedure so I wouldn't have to be tipped back and risk harming my baby. It was quick, painless and I felt extra taken care of. I was so impressed! THANK YOU!

Having moved from MA to NH during the pandemic, I needed to establish care at a new dental practice. My first appointment as a new patient for routine care was thorough and easy. The staff treated me wonderful and they are friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to many years at this practice and definitely would recommend them to friends and family.

They charged $1245.00 to sit in a chair for 52 minutes with a hygienist nothing else was done and didn't see anyone else. On the follow up visit I was told the insurance company told them they have to charge that amount. One of the doctors was there and just shrugged his shoulders and didn't say anything. I call that gouging

JD Howard is by far the best dentist in the seacoast area. Their staff is kind, considerate and thorough. They walk you through each step of the process. Making sure you are comfortable, informed and relaxed your entire visit. This is my favorite medical office of any kind that I've ever been to. Every time I go the staff is exceedingly friendly and courteous. They always make you comfortable, and are very knowledgeable about everything from your procedures to the insurance coverage. Appointments are always on time, too. I've never left there feeling unsure about costs or future plans/procedures. And seriously I'll say it again- the NICEST staff of any office ever!

Wow, I was so impressed with the service and overall quality of this place. The staff were friendly in welcoming me, and were very transparent about what they were doing. Christie went over every x-ray taken, what the different check-ups that they were doing were for, and all the great things that we can do within my insurance limits. Everything was explained, clear, and thoroughly done. Dr. John was the same. No wonder my co-workers were recommending this place. Great service!

My visit to J.D. Howard was excellent. They were thorough and explained everything. Especially friendly and I feel very honest. They didn't look for the most aggressive and unnecessary approach as some other bottom line dentists do. My wife and I both came for a second opinion and learned the other dentist's recommendations were ill advised. We will be happily changing to J.D. Howard.

I was on vacation when I chipped a tooth. I was so worried I would not find a dentist to help me as I would most likely be a "one time" patient. I was referred to JD Howard by another practice and I can't begin to say enough about the staff! Sasha on the phone was so understanding, compassionate and made me feel welcome from the beginning. Dr. Jack is who ultimately helped me with my tooth with the assistance of Tracy.
He was kind, thoughtful and really listened. You can't even tell I had a chip! All I can say is I wish I lived in Hew Hampshire so I could use JD Howard Dental as my year round dentists! Thank you so much!

We took our son to his first dental appointment (he's one) and were so thrilled with the whole experience. Booking was easy, you can fill out your paperwork online in advance, they have a cool toy room, and everyone was so nice. The building and exam rooms are great. We will be coming back next year.

There are certain things for which you don't want to cheap out: Brakes. Surgery. National Defense. Dental Work. "Good enough" isn't good enough when you're talking about your choppers, which we all hope will last us well into our golden years. Enter JD Howard Dental. I've been coming here for nearly 15 years and I'm very happy with my teeth and how they're treated here. I'm 55, so I've been around the block a bit with dentists. Are they expensive? Yes. Dentistry is expensive. Are they WORTH it? Yes.
You will be treated very well (like an old friend), and your teeth will be the best that they can be. I have insurance, but it's not bottomless - the hygienists at JD Howard (Nichole, to be exact) go out of their way to advise me how best to utilize my insurance dollars, and are hip to the fact that I don't have an endless wallet. Bottom line: you want your teeth in the best possible hands? Go to JD Howard.

I can't say enough great things about this dental office. I have always dreaded the dentist and unfotunately have my share of dental problems. I see Dr. Mark at JD Howard and he is as gentle and kind as they come. Two other dentists told me I had to have a tooth pulled but Dr. Mark did a little further work and was able to save the tooth. Not only that, he made it a pretty painless procedure.
I also like that they are very in tune with all the latest procedures and can d pretty much anything you want done from whitening your teeth (3 different options for you) to adding botox to decrease the lines around your smile. Highly recommend!

Love this place! Dr Ben is fantastic as are all the people in the office. My long time dentist (40+ years) retired and I did not care for his replacement. I tried another practice after that and didn't feel comfortable there either. My sister recommended this practice and I could not be happier that I made the move. They are friendly, professional, on time and always make you feel comfortable.

I recently started getting my dental care at JD Howard. Everyone is prompt, professional and courteous. I had a 930am appt and at 9:32am my name was called. They treat my time as a commodity. I am working with Dr. Marc Valli, who is fantastic! What a great guy. He is personable, nice, thorough and takes the time to make sure I understand all the options available to me and I have never felt rushed.
I had a fairly complicated (to me anyway) procedure and it wasn't painful or awkward. Dr. Valli does a great job and he has a new patient for life. The statement is true "high tech denistry with a gentle touch"

Dr Josh is an excellent dentist and I wish I knew about him when I moved to Dover 25 yrs ago. He makes you feel very comfortable while sitting in the chair regardless of the procedure you're having done. I've had 3 crowns put on and all were made on site and installed that day. The staff is very friendly and quite knowledgeable regarding insurance. I strongly recommend Howard Dental.

Honestly hated going to the dentist until now. I never had the best dental care growing up and now I'm on my own and capable of taking care of it my self I have started in that direction. I tried out a dentist previously who absolutely ruined the experience for me. He scolded me the entire time. So today I have now just come home from my first appointment at JD Howard in dover and everyone was absolutely amazing!

She checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and doing alright. She was amazing! I then got to meet Doctor Chris who made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. I know I need a lot of work done but not once did I feel like he was judging me. The whole team is honestly amazing. so if your looking for a friendly, non judgmental, nice facility you've found it!
