Plaza Dental Group

Today I had my first appointment at Plaza Dental. I am one of those patients who is extremely anxious about dental visits and I had avoided getting dental care for awhile. My hygienist Hilary was AMAZING! I'm so happy that I made the appointment and that i am on my way to wanting to show my smile again.

Unless you're planning to take second mortgage or clear out your kid college fund - stear clear of Plaza Dental! My smile makeover quote was $60,000.00?! Guess what my quote was at the second dental clinic - $28k! For same fixed "all in 4" with more affordable acrylic option! Plaza Dental is very overpriced! My visit felt like a waste of time. Staff was nice and that was only positive aspect of my experience with Plaza Dental. By the time you're done with your smile makeover there - you'll have nothing to smile about.

The staff at Plaza Dental are the best. Dr. Odland and his assistant, Becca, have been amazing to work with. They have always been patient, kind, and compassionate. I was always kept comfortable during my procedures and have always had a great experience. I look forward to working with them in the future.

Dr. Dietrich is so easy to work with. She's very skilled and her assistants are always able to explain every step of the way. My implant feels great!

I moved to Iowa at the end Of February, and have been looking for a dentist that cared about their patients. When I found Plaza Dental Group, they were able to get me right in, and my experience from the when I walked in to the office, to the time I walked out after my first visit was beyond what I could have hoped for. Dr. Odland and his staff are incredible and made me feel comfortable from start to finish.

They explained the next steps regarding my next appointments, and everything that was going to take place. I feel at ease knowing that I am being taken care of. All of my appointments have been great. The front staff is great as well! I can not say enough great things about this office!

My hygienist rocks, love Sarah. We have become friends through the years, she is just too sweet. But there are many great hygienists and Dr. Odland and his team took such good care of me when i broke my jaw and several teeth.

Hands down the BEST dentist I've ever been to. I have severe anxiety when it comes to the dentist and they were SO sweet/accommodating. Only place I will be going to for my dental needs going forward.

This place is the BEST. I cannot say enough about how great Lacey is and the job she does! I was so impressed by Plaza Dental Group compared to previous dentists I've visited that I won't be going anywhere else. Highly recommend Lacey, Dr. Odland, and Dr. Dietrich - they are highly educated and knowledgeable, very thorough with their care and listening to your needs, inform/explain things every step of the way, and are so enjoyable and fun to be around. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I had a great experience at Plaza Dental in West Des Moines. Lacey was the nicest person to work with. I had the Zoom whitening done and Lacey was excellent. She answered all my questions and explained everything in great detail. Thank you for a wonderful visit and my bright white teeth.

They are the best! I do not like going to the dentist. I think most people don't. My dental hygienists, Sara, is amazing! She very quick but very thorough. My teeth look great when I leave and I am in and out quickly, which I appreciate. The dentist are all wonderful and I trust them. They also have wonderful whitening options. Been going for several years now and I'm never disappointed.

I love the folks over at Plaza Dental. They are super professional, and they take all the fear out of going to the dentist. Plus who doesn't love a warm neck wrap, and a hot paraffin hand wax while you're getting your teeth cleaned! What a nice treat! Super glad I found them and I highly recommend.

The doctors and assistants are exceptional. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend.

Tried this place out as a first time client, and was very satisfied. The hygienist was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable. I appreciated how they took a picture of each individual tooth in hi def, and then sat with me and went over every picture. Definitely my new dentist office! (Oh, and the complimentary paraffin wax hand dip was a nice touch!)

Don't go there! I have never experienced that much pain. They just set you down and try to go as fast as possible! During my exam and cleaning they just wanted to sell me product after product. They make you pay upfront BEFORE you get service. Plaza Dental Group treated me terrible.

Got Invisalign, friendly staff, appointment is always on time, professional and courteous Dr (Mohan), no complaints.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience w/ Dr. Mohan. I'm sad to read about an investigation, but no business can please everyone 100%. She is an amazing doctor and a wonderful person, and I will be returning to her in the future!

Do NOT go to Dr. Mohan. There is a REASON she is being investigated by the dental board. She ruined my teeth. Did procedures that weren't necessary just so she could make more money. I am now terrified of visiting the dentist because of how much pain she caused me. She hit a nerve in my tooth and then denied it for two months. When I landed in the ER in so much pain I went to an endodontist who took x-rays and clearly saw that my nerve was damaged which caused me to need a root canal.

I had my wisdom teeth out with her and had two dry sockets and she kept saying "it's the healing process" when I told her how much pain I was still in. Again I went to a different dentist who then had to re-open my partially healed wounds to pack with clove. HORRIBLE PAIN. I was in high school when I saw her and if I was older I would have reported her myself. I refused to go there anymore. So many unnecessary procedures and SO MUCH PAIN. I wish I could give negative starts. Avoid at all costs!

The billing office recently decided to help resolve the billing issue. Hope it works out will keep you all updated.

My son had a painful canker sore when he woke up the other day and Plaza Dental Group was able to get him in a little after 7am before he needed to be at school. Dr. Stevenson was so friendly and gentle. My son didn't feel any pain or discomfort with the laser treatment. I would definitely recommend this office!

Buyer Beware! They are more interested in taking your money than providing professional services. If you value your dental health and professional services, go elsewhere. They are all about making a quick buck and couldn't care less about patient outcomes or quality of care.

Went for a cleaning and hygienist told me I needed to come back for a second appointment for a 90 minute expensive Deep Cleaning due to possible gum disease I do not "yet" have. She refused to do the regular cleaning or let me discuss it with the dentist. Subsequent research tells me that a deep cleaning would do more harm than good with my teeth - just a money making scam.

I was looking for a new dentist with evening hours. I received a mail offer for a free exam and $59 cleaning. BEWARE! I ended up using my insurance and still having to pay $70 out of pocket - $271 total. I spent the entire appointment turning down ridiculously expensive extras. Make sure they are in your providers network. I was told over the phone yes, but they are not a MetLife network provider.
