Pediatric dentistry
Report
Pediatric dentistry (known also as Pedodontics/Paedodontics) mainly focuses on children from birth through adolescence. The American Dental Association (ADA) , declares pediatric dentistry as a specialty, and that is why requires dentists to have two or three years of additional training after finishing a general dentistry degree.

One of the most important feature of pediatric dentistry is child psychology. Pediatric dentists are trained to make a friendly, fun, social ambiance for visiting children, and always avoid scary terms like drill, needle, and injection. Dental phobias beginning in childhood often go on into adulthood, so it is of significant importance that children have positive experiences and find their dental home as early as possible.
Orthodontics
Report
Orthodontics is a field of dentistry including the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of jaw, face and bite irregularities (malocclusions*) .

In the last years we have brought about many changes within the pediatric dental profession, especially to orthodontic treatment and care. Now more than ever patients are having fewer incidences of cavities and missing teeth due to the heightened awareness of fluoride use and preventative dentistry. This increasing awareness on the health and look of a child's smile has fueled the desire for many to seek out orthodontia not only as a medical need, but for cosmetic purposes as well.
Dental emergencies
Report
Dental emergencies are quite frightening and often causing pain. The exact treatment is almost always needed to lower pain and to ensure the teeth have the best possible chance of survival.

Sometimes teeth become fractured by trauma, grinding or biting on hard things. It is also possible fillings, crowns and other restorative devices to be damaged or fall out of the mouth completely. If the patient is experiencing is severe pain, it is important to make an appointment with the dentist as fast as possible. The ache caused by dental emergencies almost always gets worse without treatment, and dental problem can seriously jeopardize physical health.

My daughter has been going to Dr. Dan since she was 7. She's now 22 and has no intention of switching dentists!

Awesome, compassionate, highly professional and always accommodating. The entire staff is warm and willing to make your child's experience a positive one. Only pediatric dentist I would travel to which is out of state for us. Have two children who for 20 years have come to see Dr. Dan and his staff. State of the art setting and equipment. I only wish that when I was growing up, I was able to have a pediatric dentist like Dr. Daniel de la Torre to go too.

I took my child to Dr Dan for an ortho consultation. Dr Dan is very friendly and knowledgable. He took his time to explain the treatment options in an understandable way. Fast forward, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of my child’s smile! Dr Dan uses a special type of bracket that speeds up the amount of time the child wears the braces. He has very new technology! His office is clean and Dr Dan and his staff are amazing!
