Dr. Chavez got his dental degree in 1993 from the prestigious National University of Colombia. He pursued a second dental degree from the International Dentist Program at Loma Linda University in Southern California, a very selective education program concentrated on advanced prosthodontics. This program is made to allow qualified international dentists to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in the United States. The program accepts only 24 dentists out of more than 800 applicants every year.

Dr Chavez continued his training by completing the Dental Implant Preceptorship at the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. He goes on with his education by completing hundreds of continuing education hours. He is a licensed Invisalign provider and has extensive experience in providing cosmetic dentistry and CEREC in-office restorations.

He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Oral Implantologists, and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Chavez is also a founding member of the Gran San Antonio Hispanic Dental Association.

Dr Chavez loves dentistry and focuses on patient comfort and satisfaction. When he is not working helping patients he enjoys completing puzzles, riding his motorcycle or just relaxing at home with his wife and four children.
