This particular laser is intended to be used in oral soft tissue surgery to include: apthous ulcers, biopsy, fibroma removal, frenectomy, herpetic lesions, hemostasis, soft tissue crown lengthening and tissue retraction. Due to the precision and effectiveness of dental lasers, anesthesia is typically kept to a minimum. Depending on the procedure there is little to no bleeding, minimal need for sutures, little or no scar formation, bacterial reduction and a decreased post-operative discomfort.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a sleep related breathing problem that is relatively common and potentially has serious consequences, such as heart disease, strokes and excessive daytime sleepiness. The condition occurs when the muscles that control the tongue and soft palate relax. The relaxation allows the airway to narrow which in turn can lead to snoring and breathing difficulties. The airway can then collapse, become blocked, and cause obstructed breathing.

Dr. Carothers grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. After high school, he attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2002 with a degree in Biomedical Science. Dr. Carothers received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006 from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he received the Clinical Excellence Award.

Mrs. Caruthers is phenomenal, I was doing many treatments with her through a program at church, my narcolepsy kicked in bad and had missed 1 apt, and then emergency surgery for my son.( Patricia or Caroline) the office lady called to tell me how rude I was for not calling and canceling which I didn't know I could doover night. Which then I did not go back and finish my procedures that needed to be finished while I could. IM SAD. ID be emailing this if it was a option but didn't see email on the website. It want to come back but I don't think I could see this woman without losing my cool.

Carothers is fantastic. No one enjoys having to go to the dentist and I am no exception. Every single person I have come into contact with here have been incredible. They are compassionate and kind. I am terrified of dental work and they made it easy and literally painless. If I was ever uncomfortable, we stopped and fixed the issue. I highly recommend Carothers Family Dental.

Dr. Corey Carothers has been our family dentist for many years and I continue to be amazed by his compassion and integrity. My daughter has severe dental phobia but his soft manner and the gentle care of his hygienists help calm her nerves. If you are looking for a dentist that is straight forward and honest regarding your treatment plan and genuinely cares about your overall health and wellbeing then look no further.
Even after moving to Austin we continue to drive here for our dental care. Patti and all the rest of the friendly and excellent staff are an additional bonus. Who knew that going to the dentist could be a pleasant experience!

Both of the Dr Carothers together take care of the oral health of my entire family. I first went to see Dr Carothers when I chipped a crown. It turns out that I needed two new crowns since both of my front teeth were crowns and never were very aesthetically pleasing. This was my third set of crowns as I have had crowns since I was in JR high school, and They've always looked bad.
So I didn't expect anything better or worse. It turns out that Dr Carothers made a temporary that looked better than any of the of my others to date! Then the pennant crown arrived and Dr Carothers sent them back because he wasn't satisfied with the appearance. They remade them and I have to say, they're better than my real teeth were!
Additionally, his wife (also Dr Carothers) takes such great care with our two little girls that they think it is some sort of treat to go to the dentist. I can't recommend the Carothers enough!

I drive all the way from round rock to see this dentist. They are friendly, the office is beautiful, the treatment plans are on the conservative side and I've had no issues with work failing. Coming from a dentist who over treated and overcharged, these guys have restored my trust. My previous dentist recommended a root canal. Dr Carothers tested my nerve, determined it was healthy and was able to treat the tooth with a filling. I'm so thankful I found this practice!

I have been seeing Dr. Carothers for almost 10 years. His practice has done a wonderful job, not only for me, but also both of my children. We are able to have our cleanings all at the same time with different hygienists. My son, in particular, was extremely afraid and nervous at first. Now he is excited to go to his checkup. We have never had any issue with billing, appointments, unneeded procedures.
Every interaction has been handled professionally and the staff is simply wonderful. The office is immaculate and beautiful. I am grateful to have found a place and a group of wonderful people I trust so much.
