Invisalign, invisible braces, re-align your natural teeth. If you haven’t had braces before or if your teeth have relapsed over the years, Invisalign can straighten your teeth without wires, metal or pain. Removable aligners are worn throughout the day over a one to two week period, after which a new set of aligners replace the previous set. Over a period of six to twelve months, your teeth will be straighter and more natural looking. In addition to looking nicer, straighter teeth help protect your periodontal health and reduce the likelihood of tooth fracture. Dr. Cooper is a preferred provider with Invisalign and can discuss how Invisalign can help improve your oral health.

Crowns, Caps, Porcelain inlays, and onlays: Fractured, damaged or sensitive teeth may require more than just a “filling. ” A porcelain cap or crown covers the entire tooth. An inlay or onlay, also known as a partial crown, repairs a broken or damaged tooth, leaving the healthy portion of the tooth intact. These porcelain restorations look very natural while providing strength for the underlying tooth.
Using CEREC technology, we can restore a tooth in a single visit. A custom-made durable ceramic material that matches your teeth can be made in our office in one visit. You no longer have to wear a temporary and return for a second visit to insert the restoration.

Report
A bridge is simply several crowns connected to one another in order to bridge the space of a missing tooth. If dental implants are not an option, the teeth in front of and behind the missing tooth space are prepared and a bridge is cemented into place. The bridge maintains the space left by the missing tooth and restores your original chewing ability.

Dr. Ronald Cooper began his interest in dentistry in high school as part of an externship program which involved visiting with and learning from a local dentist. After that experience, he began volunteering and assisting dentists through college. Dentistry was a career path that seemed to match his natural inclination for fixing things. And today, when he’s not fixing smiles, he’s often fixing up his home in Potomac.
Dr. Cooper grew up in Long Island and finished high school in Maryland. After two years at Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania, he transferred to the University of Maryland where he received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry. He went on to acquire his DDS, with honors, from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1988. From there Dr. Cooper continued his dental education with advanced training in post-graduate general dentistry at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While there, he served the community by volunteering time to those in need in Grady Hospital.
Dr. Cooper’s dental education continued with the acceptance of the Fellowship award in General Dentistry in 1997. He then became more focused on preserving teeth while at the same time improving smiles.
Along with home renovations and home automation, Dr. Cooper enjoys woodworking and spending time with his family. He and his wife Lesley, an attorney, have three children.

I've been a patient at Dr. Coopers office for about 3 years now I believe and it's one of the best decisions I've made regarding my overall heath and wellness. Always friendly, always helpful and and always resourceful when it comes to what's going on with your dental hygiene. Most places won't even elaborate on how your teeth are doing. Just get in there do some work and keep it going but Dr. Cooper and his staff always break down exactly what's done, why its being done and how it got to that point. And I like that.now if you'd excuse me I have to go floss. 5 "that's ights" outta 5

That sentence was posted more than a year ago I think, and still true. Great office, always efficient and helpful, great hygienists and reception staff. I went to see Dr. Cooper yesterday. He was very attentive, helpful and pleasant. He's very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was happening to my teeth. After two years of suspecting that my former dentist wasn't being honest with me, Dr Cooper quickly detailed possible causes on a big screen. I was finally able to comprehend my situation.
I was now in good hands. Dr. Cooper discussed different ways to treat my issue. He made a plan for me. I appreciate his candor, and the way he communicates. He's at ease in his office and his style is complemented by his kind staff and smoothly run practice. Highly recommend.

The kindness of the staff alone would keep me coming back but the expertise is what really blows me away. They use techniques and make recommendations I've never received before because they're more detail-oriented and thorough than I've ever experienced at a dentist. Highly recommend making this place your dental care home! They're wonderful.

Dr. Cooper and his team are the absolute best! From the moment you walk into their doors you are treated with the best care. I went through a full Invisalign treatment and am over the moon with my results! I have more dental work coming up and am so happy I can rely on Dr. Cooper to help me achieve my perfect smile! As this was my first dental experience in over a year (COVID-19), my teeth were in a sorry state. Dr. Cooper did a thorough job of analyzing what needs to be done, Lillibeth was lovely and totally competent, and Tran did a great job scraping and cleaning off my teeth. My husband has more complicated problems, and Dr. Cooper has already done a crown for him (very successful) and is working on another. Terrific dental team!

Dr Cooper's practice has always been very professional, I have been going there for over 25 years, now. Post pandemic, I visited again and find that the doctor and his staff are very careful and always provide balanced advice and reocmmendations on how to keep a healthy mouth. In these times, its particulary difficult for all to navigate the changing safety requirements, but, they are doing a great job.

Six years since I last went to this place, they are still calling me to schedule a check-up even after I told them to stop! I have no interest in going back there and live across the country. Furthermore, in the short time I used their services Ronald Cooper told me I had multiple cavities on every visit. I had so many fillings done there. After I switched dentists, the new dentist told me I didn't have any cavities. I have had about one filling in those six years since! How many unnecessary fillings did they give me?

The tooth that he worked on is still giving me grief after 5 years. Not sure if I really needed the root canal. Wish I had gotten a second opinion. All my dentists I have been to have since commented on the poor quality of materials used for the crown, the way it installed so poorly (one of my dentists had to build the tooth back up) and how dangerous for my health it was to have the crown fall off after a month of being installed and then had it slapped back on without any reconstruction or care.
I spent more than $3000 at this office (and this is with a great insurance plan) and regret every single minute I was there. He is out there to make money with no regards for his patience health. Also, sleazy sales style with every visit trying to sell you tooth paste or "antibiotics" for the gums on the crown that he himself slapped on so poorly. I will consider reporting him to the DC Board of Dentistry for malpractice and negligence.

I have been going to Dr. Cooper for 19 years. The best Dentist by far. He has very soft hands, he explains to you what he is going to do, He try no to cause you pain. The crew is excellent, my hygienist Maritza is the best. Patty the receptionist is very friendly and the other receptionist is also very nice, unfortunately I don't remember her name. They whole team is a 5 starts!!!

I have been coming to Dr. Cooper for about 2 years at the recommendation of a colleague. The staff is friendly and efficient and they have always remembered me by name. Unlike some other dentists in the area they dont try to upsell you on unnecessary procedures and any services they do recommend they clearly explain the advisement. Dr. Cooper does a great job as does his dental hygienist.

Dr. Cooper is wonderful. I have been for a consultation, a cleaning, and will go for another cleaning soon. His offices, of course, are clean and neat. The hygienist was not crazy rough on my teeth like the last dentist I saw. And, he doesn't seem to oversell which a lot of dentists do. His chairside manner is great, and his front office staff is kind and helpful too. Bonus: He gave me a recommendation to a great oral surgeon as well.

I never imagined I could enjoy going to the dentist, but my latest (among many years) was a true pleasure. Dr. Phillips swiftly and deftly removed deep oral stitches (implanted after a minor surgery at Johns Hopkins) that had not dissolved as promised and that had been causing me disabling pain when eating and even talking for more than 2 weeks. And afterwards we shared an enjoyable and good-humored discussion about a magazine article I had been reading. I am actually looking forward to returning to the office for my next routine checkup.

Dr. Phillips and his staff are excellent. They are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and comforting during what can be a painful experience. I have been a patient for 4 years and I love that the staff members greet me by name when I walk in, and seem to remember details about my life from my last cleaning. For me, this makes the process bearable. I also appreciate Dr. Phillips's chairside manner. He always explains each procedure or problem and takes time to answer my questions.

I really like Dr. Cooper and his office staff. I've been to see a few other dentists in town over the years and have been dissappointed with all of them for various reasons. I picked Dr. Cooper, frankly, because he was in network, close by and could help me out with an emergency right away. Dr. Cooper is a phenomenal dentist. He gave me a great review for an oral surgeon, his hygienists are great with good advice, his front desk staff is kind and reminds you of all of your appointments. The office is fairly simple to get into - just say your name to the folks at the front security and they'll let you down.
