Dr. Adam Hahn graduated from Chapin High School in 1994 and earned his B.S. from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1997. He then moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where he graduated in May 2003 from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology presented Dr. Adam Hahn with the Horace Wells Senior Student Award for outstanding achievement in the field of dental anesthesiology.
Dr. Adam Hahn then moved to Columbia to complete his residency training at Palmetto Health Richland. Through the residency program, Dr. Hahn gained experience placing and restoring dental implants, general and cosmetic dentistry, as well as sedation dentistry.

Dr. Hahn has fixed the tongue and lip ties for both of my children. Their tries were barely diagnosed by pediatricians but were causing me significant pain. The staff did a great job explaining the procedure and after-care. The procedure itself was quick and did wonders for my kids' latch! With my first child, her ties were not fixed until she was almost 2 months old. With my youngest, his ties were fixed at 11 days old. Overall, I would recommend him to any nursing mom who is experiencing pain.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hahn's for many years. I've always loved his work, he is a perfectionist! He is extremely knowledgeable, gentle, trustworthy, and very professional. Going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do but I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Hahn and his staff! I love all the hygienist! I sought out Smile Columbia dentistry because they advertise that they assist people who are fearful of the dentist. My previous experience had been positive and I found the staff to all be very friendly and helpful. My hygienist Lori is wonderful and makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. I was there to have some fillings done and when Dr. Hahn began, I could feel pain when he began drilling.
I asked him to stop because I could still feel it. He became angry and left the procedure area. This just made me even more anxious about the procedure and I did not understand where this sudden animosity was coming from, simply from not wanting to feel the drilling. This led to a verbal altercation with Dr. Hahn where I felt extremely berated and as though I did not understand the difference between pain and pressure I may feel during the procedure.
He told me I was anticipating the pain and not actually feeling anything. It was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing to be in an argument in the middle of the procedure area where everyone could hear him berating me. I was trying to apologize and he just told me to stop talking anymore and this could all be finished in five minutes. I felt like he was just in a hurry to leave.
I have never had a provider treat me so callous, especially when you are there specifically because you are uncomfortable. After, he did not apologize for his behavior, but that my pain made me anxious. I work in healthcare and I was not treated with compassion or in a manner a provider should be treating or speaking to a patient. It is very unfortunate because I found his staff to be very friendly and caring, but I would reconsider if you are looking for a Dr. to take their time and be compassionate.

The office staff could not be better. Tonya was always very pleasant, caring, and empathetic. Stephen always followed up to remind me of upcoming appointments and greeted me with a smile. Dr. Adam Hahn did everything he possibly could to ensure my smile was what I wanted and addressed issues he found. I came to this office for a second consultation and I knew I came to the right place the second I walked in the door. The office staff was so very friendly and the doctor definitely was more focused on taking care of my mouth health and not just jumping into pricey cosmetic work. They took their time and explained everything, there was no rushing in and out like so many doctors offices I have been to in the past.

Best dentists and orthodontists in the entire southeastern states. I couldn't even find a comparable dentist anywhere in Tampa/ St. Pete/ Clearwater area! Dr. Paul Hahn and any of his staff who met me learned very quickly that I have a huge fear of dentist, they all heard "I would rather have surgery than come to the dentist!" and I was extremely serious. However Dr. Paul Hahn and his staff, especially Alida and Lisa have been so extremely reassuring and caring toward me especially since I had a tremendous amount of work that needed to be done -I can honestly say that for the first time in my life I am not afraid to go to the dentist. I love going to this office! It’s so clean and inviting and the staff is lovely. Dr. Adam did an amazing job of repairing a chip in my front tooth and I have not had any problems with it since then. Him and his team also have extensive knowledge about dentistry that is hard to find in other practices. I would recommend them to anyone whether you’re just getting a cleaning or something more involved.

I am so grateful to Smile Columbia Dentistry for the recent procedure that my daughter had done. Their office was SO welcoming, as I immediately felt comfortable from the second I walked in. Their facility was clean and the staff was friendly as can be. I was nervous for my one month old daughter to get her tongue and lip ties lasered, but they took extraordinary care of her and I never questioned their expertise.
