Owner
Dr. Michael Katz received his undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut, earning a degree in Allied Health Sciences. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of New England School of Dental Medicine. Dr Katz has also had rigorous training in endodontics, oral surgery and dental implant surgery as well as treating children. Dr Katz is married to his wonderful wife Cara and resides in West Hartford with their 2 golden doodles, Cliff and Clyde. When not treating patients or attending continuing dental education, he enjoys basketball, snowboarding, hiking with his dogs and traveling. Dr Katz strives to provide excellent care in a family friendly environment.

My biggest phobia and anxiety is going to a dentist and I just want to share because when I visit DR V and or DR K, the experience is one of NO ANXIETY and I would recommend this practice to anyone needing good oral care or procedures to get better. They are professional, clean and hands on best chair side manner around. The Dr. Takes his time with each patient and allows the patient to leave with comfortable thoughts to always a positive result in explaining all thoroughly. Love this practice and thank you so much for your care.

My tooth abscess came on quickly as they always do and it was painful as they always are. I called Katz Family Dental Care for help and was promptly brought in for evaluation. Dr. Katz and well trained staff immediately diagnosed my situation and came up with the best care plan for me in the shortest amount of time, the least amount of pain and at s cost I can afford. Very modern place. My previous dentist had out dated equipment. The whole experience was great. Only bad thing I had to say is the A/C was too cold. They gave me a blanket which took care the issue. Next time i will wear warmer clothes. Not pushy at all trying to get more business. I had x-rays and cleaning. Previous doc was always trying to get me to do things to my teeth I did not need.
He said you might as well use your insurance Dr. Katz said you have good teeth see you in 6 months. Very pleased with my first visit. It's very convenient to get to and close to home. Keep up the good work Iwona & Dr. Katz

I've been going to Dr. Viagrande for over 15 years and have been very happy with the service and the staff. They go above and beyond just your teeth. Kelly, the hygenist, noticed a lump on my husband's jaw and recommended he have it checked out. Turns out it was cancer and he went through treatment and is free and clear today. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist.
