Bee Cave Dental Center - Corinne R Scalzitti Gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss in U.S. adults. Periodontal (gum) disease is a serious infection in your mouth that has been linked to health complications like heart disease, stroke, or premature babies. Gum disease will not get better or go away without treatment. Seeking treatment for your gum disease early can help save your teeth.

I have been a loyal patient for over three years now and am just completing my invisalign treatment. Dr. Scalzitti and her team always make me feel welcomed and cared for --definitely more than just a patient number.

Do you have sensitive teeth caused by receding gums? Gum grafting was previously the most recommended treatment to restore gum lines. Grafting enjoys predictable success yet requires two surgical sites, a donor site and the treatment site. The Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST), however, corrects gum recession without incisions or sutures.
The most common source of gum recession, periodontal disease is an oral infection marked by red and swollen gums, bad breath, bleeding gums, gum recession, deepened gum pockets, and loose teeth. The infection is caused by bacteria that inhabit the plaque on your teeth and will slowly destroy your connective tissue, teeth, and bone.
For healthier gums, learn to recognize the symptoms of gum disease and schedule professional cleanings and checkups with Dr. Scalzitti. With early intervention, your infection can be treated with antibiotic therapy, scaling and root planing, or convenient laser treatment before your gums are permanently damaged.
First the depth of the periodontal pockets are measured with a probe. This tells the dentist for gum disease how deep the pockets are and much tissue has become detached. Next, the dentist for gum disease will use the laser again at the bottom of the pocket to stimulate soft tissue, root, and bone.

I've gone to Dr. Scalzitti for more than 20 years. She has done a great job on everything from minor cavities to tooth extraction, and my cleanings every six-months are quick, thorough and easy. When I needed it, she recommended me to a great orthodontist (braces/appliance) and oral surgeon (wisdom teeth) in the area. I recommend Dr. Scalzitti to all my friends.

Absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. I paid for a dental exam, cleaning, and x-rays. First off, it took over 2 months to schedule an appointment. They kept telling me their computer was down. Promising to call back but never did. Actually my groupon would have expired before they could even see me! Finally after almost three months I made it to the office ready to get my teeth cleaned.

The hygienist did her exam and checked my gum pockets, took X-rays.and then while I was waiting for my cleaning, she tells me that I need a deep cleaning. They wanted to charge me over $1,200 dollars for this deep cleaning! Keep in mind, I just had a cleaning a little over a year ago and they said a deep cleaning certainly wasn't necessary. So when they claimed that they wouldn't be able to clean my teeth, I asked that I should be refunded my money.

They then tell me they cant because they already did the exam and took my X-rays. If my teeth were "too dirty" for a regular cleaning, the hygienist shouldn't have moved forward with her pocket exam and X-rays. No, instead they took advantage and tried to upsell me for $1,200 dollars. When the dentists finally examined me, she almost had a difficult finding this "plaque" that the hygienist said was so extensive. SO the dentist recommended a debridement (less thorough than a deep cleaning, but better than a regular cleaning).

The hygienist said she didn't know how to do it. Apparently there is a male hygienist there that does, so the dentist finally agreed to ask him about it and get back to me. She never did. Then I called, and was promised a return call. Nothing. Finally 2 weeks later I called again and they told me there was nothing that can be done. This place is absolutely awful.

The African American receptionist is so rude and nasty you wouldn't believe. One of the worst customer services experiences I have ever had in my life. DO NOT give this place your money!

An amazing dental office. My wife is terrified of having dental work done and they have been helping us for the past 4 plus years. We love this place Corinne and the entire staff is so friendly. No need to cancel any appointments due to fear. We live in Buda and it is well worth the drive

My wife and I recently moved to Lakeway and were looking for a dentist. We have no dental insurance and needed cleaning and checkup only. Very pleased with this office in all aspects. Highly recommended.

I love Bee Cave Dental! My office is nearby at the Hill Country Galleria, and I was in need of an Invisalign treatment. The treatment has been incredible and I'm shocked at how much better my teeth look in just a few months. But more than that, Dr. Scalzitti and all the girls are so sweet and it's always such a pleasure to talk with them when I stop in. I highly recommend coming here!

I am a new patient at Bee Cave Dental and have to say that I am very pleased with the services I have received here. All of the staff, from the receptionist, dental hygienist, to the dentist (Dr. Scalzitti) are very nice and friendly. Dr. Scalzitti was very thorough in her exam and took the time to explain to me what she was doing while examining my teeth.

They also seem very up-to-date on all the latest high-tech dental gadgets. Although not directly related to teeth, my favorite gadget they have are a pair of glasses that allows you to watch a movie while they work on your teeth. I was able to watch Hitch while getting my cavity filled! I would definitely recommend Bee Cave Dental Center to anyone looking for a good quality dentist who truly cares.
