We feel that staying on the cutting edge of dental technology is important to the care and treatment of our patients. To that end, we have outfitted our office with some of the latest devices offered in modern dentistry as well as multimedia for your entertainment needs. We use only Digital radiography (x-ray) which reduce the patient's exposure to radiation as much as 90 percent over traditional X-rays. The x-ray images are immediately displayed on flat screens in each operatory and discussed with the patient.
TMJ, although it has become almost a household word, is a non-specific, catch-all term for a variety of pain/dysfunction conditions of the head and neck. It was originally derived from "Temporomandibular Joint", your jaw joints - once thought to be the source of most of these ailments. Today we know that there are many causes of head and neck problems that may or may not be related to the temporomandibular joint.
Neuromuscular Dentistry is the science of dentistry that embodies accepted scientific principles of patho-physiology, anatomy, form and function. Neuromuscular dentistry objectively evaluates the complex relationship between teeth, temporomandibular joints and the masticatory muscles in order to achieve an occlusion that is based on the optimal relationship between the mandible and the skull - neuromuscular occlusion.
Dr. Carol F. Morgan graduated with honors from the University of Richmond in 1991 with a bachelor of science degree in Biology. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) School of Dentistry in 1995. Dr. Morgan received her certificate in Advanced General Dentistry from MCV in 1996, and has been practicing in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia ever since.

Dr Morgan has dramatically changed my life - when I came to her office I could not open my mouth more than 1/2 inch and it hurt to chew! She stabilized my bite and then Invisalign to keep the teeth in the corrected relationship. I had been under the care of 2 other dentists that were unable to keep my bite stable let alone in the correct position!

Dr. Carol Morgan is a wonderful dentist with specialized training to treat patients suffering with TMJ. I am a TMJ patient and have been to other dentist in the area who claim to be TMJ experts, spent lots of money on splints that did not work and waisted time while living in pain. Dr. Morgan changed my life. She custom made a physiologic orthotic that recaptured my disc which meant that my jaw function became better and I went from horrific daily pain to mild and occasional soreness.
She has always been straightforward with me since our very first appointment about costs and expectations. I have had NO surprise bills and she worked out a payment plan that is very agreeable. I have been so impressed by Dr. Morgan's skills, including those of her dental hygienist, that I have transferred all of my dental care to her practice. Personally, I have found that Dr. Morgan will do everything she can to help people in pain and adjust her schedule to accommodate the needs of her patients. Dr. Morgan and her hygienists, are the only people I ever want to work on my teeth again. Three years ago, my mouth was falling to literal pieces, and now my mouth is in the best shape its ever been. Dr. Morgan and Susan have taught me a tremendous about oral care, and just how much it can effect all other facets of your health, have always carefully explained what they're doing, when they're doing it, and made me feel comfortable with dentistry for the first time in my 30+ years of life. Dr. Carol Morgan has helped me through TMD and general dental care. My experience has been positive. I have found Dr. Morgan creative in her treatment with my situation. She is intelligent, patient, has integrity, and I trust her work. Dr. Morgan's assistant is Courtney. Courtney wears many hats, and I have found her kind, helpful and very good with everything I have been involved. And, she is an excellent hygienist.

As a longtime patient of Dr. Morgan I am very pleased with my dental care at HRCCD. Dr. Morgan uses the most modern technology in her care for patients. I have had everything from routine dental care to several crowns with Dr. Morgan. She and her hygienist are very gentle and make sure I am always comfortable. I have never experienced any discomfort during my visits. The office is always very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Doctor Morgan and her office for exceptional dentistry.

Dr. Morgan has been fabulous. She has gone above and beyond to ensure my Invisalign experience is a pleasant one. When I was put into Invisalign just a few months before my wedding, Dr. Morgan made special accommodations to have my smile ready for my wedding day. She took extra care before my wedding and has continued to do so as I near the end of my treatment.
