Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, oral cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We will also take appropriate dental xrays using the latest technology in digital imaging (significant reduction in x-ray exposure). You will be able to see the image instantly on the chairside computer screen.
Josef Kolling, Debra Lisull and Daniel Edwards combined their practices in 2005 to create OAK VALLEY DENTAL ASSOCIATES. After many years in the University of Michigan campus area, it was time to expand and update the facilities in order to provide the very latest in technology and equipment. In 2018, Dr. Riley Schaff joined our office to further strengthen our team and boraden our patient care services. By combining our 'special' areas of expertise we are able to provide our patients with comprehensive and excellent dental care.

A beautiful facility with outstanding dentists. I can speak for Dr Edwards specifically when I can say he is by and far the most conscientious, talented, patient and kind dentist I have ever met. His team of hygienists, in particular Meghan, are equally amazing as are the front desk staff. I've never had anything but an amazing experience here and always walk out with a bright and healthy smile. 100% recommended!

Per always, the professionalism at Oak Valley Dental Associates is above top notch! To keep their patients as comfortable as possible, the dentists and support staff have really fine-tuned the process of providing the most efficient and effective procedures during these times of Covid 19 -- almost like a choreographed dance. Just tremendous! I drive more than 35 miles (one way!) for my dental care with Oak Valley Dental Associates, and I would drive even further, if necessary. They are beyond exceptional! Thank you for doing what you do, OVDA, and for doing it SO well!

Absolutely amazing! Dr. Edwards and team are rockstars! The integrity, quality, professionalism and friendliness of the staff is beyond outstanding. I look forward to every visit. Yes! I look forward to seeing my dentist and hygienist (at least) twice a year! Now, how many people can say that? I love everything about this dental practice! Every hygienist has been amazing! Especially Megan! Dr. Kolling is fantastic! The office staff (Ellie is great) is so professional, warm and inviting. The office is so clean and especially now, during COVID, you feel safe and protected. Thank you! I highly recommend this practice! Our daughter moved to Indianapolis and still comes back to Oak Valley Dental! The dental work; crowns, fillings, implants are incredible!

Best around - really great, friendly people, and superior work. I see Dr. Edwards and he's wonderful. Pays extremely close attention to detail and genuinely cares about making your smile the best it can be. I recently had a front chipped tooth repaired (which is difficult as it's front and center), and had a hard time matching with a composite as I was in between color shades, and Dr. Edwards took the time to do outside research and get extra shades they don't carry in the office to make sure I had the perfect match.
The dental work blends flawlessly with my other teeth, couldn't be happier. I no longer live in Ann Arbor, but the 45 minute trip is well worth it - wouldn't go anywhere else.

Excellent service and care. Dr. Kolling took the time to talk with me and make sure I had all the info I wanted before he started the work (replacing two old fillings). I was nervous and he was very reassuring. He was also very gentle with the needle when numbing the area - he didn't just jab it in like my previous dentist! He also used a topical before using the needle, so the needle didn't hurt as much.
He took his time and explained everything he was doing, and put in the effort to get it just right. He also let me know that I could call him and come back the same day if anything felt "off" after the numbness wore off. I had no problems at all and was totally satisfied. Thanks to this experience, I no longer dread having that kind of work done. Everyone in the office was very kind and clearly cared about the patients. I just moved to this practice and my husband and daughter are coming with me. Very happy I made this choice.

Oak Valley Dental is a true treasure for the Ann Arbor area. The dentists are on the cutting edge of tested tools in dental care, and are exceptional in service. I had a dental emergency a couple of years ago the day I was to leave for vacation, and the staff were quickly responsive to my call. Whenever I have needed a procedure, the dentists have explained all of the possible treatment options and their varying costs, and then given their clinical opinion on the best option.
I have seen Dr. Lisull for decades, so when she moved to Oak Valley, I was also fortunate to receive service from her colleagues. I always recommend this clinic to coworkers and friends who are in search of a reliable practice. I trust the professionals there completely and have never been disappointed!
