My friend warned me they would overcharge and I should've listened to her. They gave me a false estimate and I ended to pay for $1500 more and I had to shave my teeth. Prior experience, other dentists confirmed the insurance company before the treatment but they didn't. He really didn't agree with the treatment I wanted originally and I just was pushed to do other way. I am going to see my daughter's dentist who I know is good and Seattle's best kind.

I've been coming to this dentist for over 10 years and this is the first time submitting a review! I always think about reviewing restaurants but didn't really think of dentists. Dr. Yamaguchi knows all about my teeth. He speaks my native language, Japanese, and is very good at what he does. I believe he is the only doctor working there and does everything, from creating teeth to oral surgery.
I had my gum on top of the front teeth shaved to make the front teeth bigger. I had no problem after the surgery, no pain that I didn't need to take strong pain killer as prescribed. My front teeth look so much better now. I've had several cavity treatments, crown replacements that he has tried using a new machine to numb the area where the procedure would be done without a needle.
It worked some time and didn't some time. Don't know if he is using that anymore. He also has a machine that creates ceramic teeth as well. He tries incorporating new technologies to treat patients. The front desk staff and the dental hygienist, Kelly are so very nice and thorough, which is another reason I come back here. The front staff tells me before any treatment how much it'd cost. I've been to a dentist who told me about $5000 to replace crowns on my front teeth, and they said they wouldn't know how much exactly until the procedure is done. I'm not sure that's what other dentists do? I have no such surprise at this place. Love it. Definitely recommended.

My mother went to Dr. Yamaguchi and he was INAPPROPRIATE on two occasions in regards to how he handled her face. He slapped her face when blood was going down her throat as she tried to clear her throat during an extraction which she forgave. Today however, was the last time she will ever walk through the door of that practice. When checking her bite she was unable to follow his directions, he used his whole hand to push her whole face aggressively and in a demeaning fashion into the dental chair, to the point she was in tears. The dental assistant was empathetic enough to wipe her tears away and hold her hand, but unfortunately this dentist lacked basic bedside manner and patient care.

If you looking for a place where they don't know what they are doing.then this is the place for you. Went here to do some cleaning and the cleaning was fine but I was told that I needed to filling now prior to me having a filling here I had no pain whatsoever. I left after my filling in Superbad pain I went back not once not twice not 3 times but six times and every time I went back they kept saying it's just the bite I finally told him it was no longer the bite that they had done something wrong well I decided to go to a new dentist and they took one look at my teeth and told me that I needed a root canal and that 19th ave dental should not have put a filling over my teeth. it took one visit at a new dental office for them to tell me what was wrong yet I had to come back 6 times and each time they told me it was my bite.
I know my own teeth they also broke off a tooth on my boyfriends mouth as well and he's going to have to get his teeth fixed because of this office stay away from this place they do not know what they're doing so now in the long run I'm paying more money to get this filling taking out.i have to get a root canal and get a filling put back on Then come to find out that an infection happen when they did my filling so there's obviously no sanitation practices here never again will I ever stepped foot into 19th Avenue dental
