Northern Valley Indian Health is a private, nonprofit tribal corporation that was founded in 1971 by a group of Northern California American Indians seeking to reestablish health services for Indians in California. NVIH continues to focus agency efforts on establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient health care system, which ensures services are accessible, available, and of high quality.

Services
The NVIH Children's Health Center is dedicated to caring for the children of our community. We provide newborn visits, well child exams, sick visits, and sports physicals. Our patients include children from birth through 18 years of age. Our primary care team includes pediatricians, nurse practitioners, nurses, a licensed clinical social worker, and clerical support staff. We also provide the services of a certified car seat technician for our established patients. We accept Medi-Cal and some private insurance plans.
Behavioral Health services are offered at the Chico clinic, the Willows clinic, the Woodland clinic, and the Children's Health Center. Licensed or certified practitioners are available to provide confidential assistance with many areas of living including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, parenting issues, behavior problems, school failure, and family conflict. Available Mental Health services include individual psychotherapy, play therapy, family therapy, sand play therapy, and referrals.
Don't Skip Breakfast: Fiber in the morning means less hunger late in the afternoon, when you're most likely to feel tired and gorge yourself on sugar. An early start on eating also keeps your metabolism more active throughout the day; breakfast eaters are thinner than people who just rush out the door.
The Northern Valley Indian Health clinics are open Monday through Friday, but at different times. For specific hours, visit the Clinics page to find the clinic you want to contact and visit that clinic's page. If urgent care is needed, patients may go to an urgent care clinic or emergency room. Please allow 24 hours for a response to emails received Monday through Thursday.

North Valley Indian Health is a medical clinic that specializes in Native American health. Card carrying Native Americans can be seen for both medical and dental for free at the clinic. Dr. Reinking is my favorite doctor. She is thoughtful and explains things clearly. Appointments are a few months out or you can call at 7:30 and try for a same day appointment. They take care of all my primary medical and dental health. When a patient fell they called in the Calvary.

The (mostly female) providers at nvih dental|chico, from front office to clinicians|dentists are the best dental providers i have ever had - not only clinically but also on a profoundly human level of true compassion and concern to their clients' medical, physical, and psychological wellness. state of the art equipment and practices
