Hi Tec Family Dentistry - Mark R Morin

Devastated to share as I've been going to Hi Tech Family Dentistry for a near 27 years, but I don't think I'll be back. My most recent 3 visits have been seriously disappointing. The hygienist on June 9th didn't really talk to me at all during my visit, hurt me a few times while cleaning my teeth and was pretty aggressive with her touch, and I just didn't feel cared for.

I mean, don't talk my ear off, but also don't shuffle me along after only cleaning my teeth for 20 minutes. The staff, for many years, was such high caliber of dental talent, but not so much anymore. Ever since Laura (office manager) retired, it's gone downhill. I would not recommend them.

I highly recommend Hi-Tech Family Dentistry for all of your dental needs. I have been going to their Southfield location for quite some time and I love everybody in the building. Each visit is always so welcoming and professional. I always walk in here with a smile on my face because I know that I am with the best. Any problems, issues or concerns that I have are always promptly handled. Hi-Tech Family Dentistry always makes me feel heard and seen with all of my questions. They do not dismiss your worries and they truly care. I am proud to say that I have a dentist for a lifetime!

My visit at Hi-Tech was pleasant. I enjoyed talking with the dental hygienist. He answered all of my questions, and was helpful in explaining how my many cups of coffee can affect my enamel.

Everyone is very nice and the office is super clean and inviting. Dr McGetrrick is amazing and she has great bedside manner. I have anxiety but the staff makes you feel good about being there.

I just started this year after my former dentist shut down during the early parts of the pandemic. I first love the atmosphere the the modernization of the place and equipment used. The dentist & techs & front desk workers are friendly and show concern & care about your needs. It's really convenient because it's in the neighborhood, as well. I'm in and out in good time, also. I feel comfortable & confident in the team at Hi Tech. Thanks so Much for your care.

The office is clean, organized, the staff very professional, they are friendly in a professional way, they listen, plus they use certain equipment to test for other things that X-ray wouldn't pick up, the staff was dress clean and they try to meet your needs,

So my previous dentist sold his practice to Dr Mark and his wife and their Hi Tech Dentistry. Well, my first visit went ok.the hygienist was pretty awesome (first step to a good dentist). The dentist seemed kind of rushed and basically told me I needed a crown replaced.felt like I was at the drive thru at MacDonalds at that point. The office staff was great and handed me a "Welcome " gift of some trinkets.which I politely declined as I am at a point in my life that I really don't need more "stuff ".

I left the office feeling like I really wasn't comfortable having work done here. Then. I got the bill! I have really good insurance and NEVER have had to pay out of pocket for a cleaning and exam. I was shocked to get a bill with a pretty huge balance due. I think my initial gut reaction as I left the office was correct.

Dr Morin took the time to explain clearly why a crown was necessary. Work was done with little discomfort which is impressive because it was my last molar. Work was paused when I experienced sensation to allow numbing to fully take effect. The rest of the procedure proceeded without any sensation. I was able to (carefully) chew on the temporary crown the very next day.

I have a complex case and I suffer from anxiety. Dr Mcgettrick, and ALL of her staff have gone above and beyond in their care for me. Everything is explained extremely well, you are always given full attention and treated in the most kind, respectful and considerate way. Dr Mcgettrick is extremely skilled, articulate and her experience and expertise definitely shows.

I feel blessed to have found her as a dentist, along with her staff. Scheduling and paperwork is also very efficient and everyone is super helpful and friendly. Wish I had gone to this practice years ago. Highly recommended.

My hygienist is consciousness and skilled. She made me comfortable and kept be informed.

Keep feeling my teeth after my cleaning, because they feel so smooth! I really liked Mandy, the hygienist. Her friendliness helped me feel comfortable getting a cleaning in the middle of a pandemic. I also like how they use text messages to stay up to date. I don't like answering a phone call if I don't know the number, so they will text me to confirm which is a lot easier. Definitely recommend this dentist for an easy, high quality experience.

Yes I would definitely recommend them, everyone is so kind and caring Highly Recommended We will never go anywhere else.

The female dentist has no bedside manner whatsoever. She seems irritated that you're there. Don't even think of saying anything if you're uncomfortable because she'll just ram a needle in your gums without warning - then stomp away and slam the door. The male dentist is somewhat ok - if you don't mind him messing up and cutting your tongue so bad he's got to put several stitches in it.

I would also caution against signing up for text alerts because no matter how many times you ask them to stop and reply with "STOP" they'll just keep sending them anyway. If you choose this place - good luck!

First time at HiTech Dental recently, the office is really nice and clean! Everyone is friendly! My hygienist Mandy I believe was her name was great! 10/10 recommend this place. Will be back in 6 months!

I originally had issues with billing and the office manager worked diligently to resolve my issue so I am doing a new review as my previous one was done truly done in haste. I really was happy with my services received and decided to return to complete my treatment. I do recommend them as they are taking many precautions to make you feel safe during this pandemic which was my main concern. Lastly, the office is definitely technologically advanced so they do live up to the name they deserve the five stars indeed!

I am always impressed by the quality of service at the office. The hygienists give great cleanings and Dr. McGettrick and Morin give thorough exams. I am so impressed with the practice that I remained a patient even after relocating and now having a 40 minute drive. My family sold their dental practice a few years ago and it is so nice to have found a place that exceeds my expectations!

You will rec'v the best service. Very pleasant customer service. Even if they don't accept your insurance they will work with you to find another way. There are always other options. This is an awesome Dentist Office. I was told at another office that I had periodontal and had 3 cavities that I needed to get filled, but I didn't feel that was true. I switched to High Tech and they did an extensive exam and told me I had no signs of periodontal disease and no cavities. They said that happens a lot. I will go to them forever and so will my kids!
