If I could rate zero stars I would. My daughter had a traumatic experience at the hands of Dr. Yang, which was completely preventable. Building a positive relationship with pediatric patients is crucial for a dentist and unfortunately, Dr. Yang created an adversarial relationship with my child. She grew impatient when my child was resistant toward treatment and attempted to physically restrain her by holding her down.
I was not allowed in the treatment room and it was terrible to hear my daughter's screams from the lobby. Dr. Yang came out to speak to me, appearing stressed out and winded. She stated the only way to complete the treatment was to use a "safety blanket", which is actually called a papoose and functions like a straight jacket. The term "safety blanket" is an inappropriate euphemism because it is not a blanket at all, yet this is the term used on Toothtown's paperwork.
After speaking to me for about 30 seconds, I felt my only choice was to allow Dr. Yang to move forward with the treatment. The treatment was 2 small fillings, which was not an emergency. Any dentist with sound judgment would have postponed it given my child's resistance and Dr. Yang's unsuccessful attempts to proceed. However, Dr. Yang moved forward with the papoose, which agitated my child even further.
My child was able to break out of the papoose and it left marks on her wrists. After 2 hours, the treatment was not completed and my child was traumatized. She referred to Dr. Yang as a "monster" and asked, "Mommy, why did she do that to me?" Dr. Yang never provided appropriate informed consent, which should have included a full discussion of all of the possible benefits and risks of the papoose.
The risks include adverse psychological effects. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry states that the papoose should not be used on an uncooperative child for a non-emergency treatment. It is intended for special needs children and/or emergency situations. Since this incident, I have spoken to four other pediatric dentists and all of them were surprised to hear of this incident.
Three of them do not even keep a papoose in their office. The fourth one has a papoose only for special needs children and emergency situations such as removing an infected tooth. Also shocking is the fact that Dr. Yang wrote a treatment plan for my younger child that included the papoose when this child had previously cooperated for treatment at another dentist with nitrous only.
Prior cooperation is another contraindication for the papoose as stated by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Clearly, based on my experience and the other reviews here, Dr. Yang overuses the papoose in an inappropriate manner. Luckily, we found an amazing 5-star pediatric dentist in Jupiter who was able to desensitize my child and complete her non-emergency treatment 4 months later.
I was also able to receive a refund after paying $130 on the day of the incident; I accomplished this via a credit card dispute. I attempted to obtain a refund directly from the office but I received a disturbing phone call from Dr. Yang, where she spoke to me in a condescending manner and put the blame on my child for being uncooperative. Afterwards, the office refused to release my child's records until I sent them a certified letter.
I hope this review helps other parents steer clear of Tooth Town. There are many 5-star pediatric dentists in the area who take the time to build positive relationships with children, which leads to cooperation in the office. I wish you the best of luck in finding an amazing pediatric dentist for your child!

I should've read the reviews before I went to this place. If I could give zero stars I would. The front desk receptionist was rude as can be. I went in there with both my children one at eight years old and one is 18 months. She kept giving me dirty looks because my 18 month old wouldn't sit still. Then at the end of the visit they charged me a co-pay when I didn't have a co-pay. And now they will not refund me my money. Do not go there they are overpriced and very rude not worth the time or the money.

We LOVE Toothtown! The dentist can be scary and stressful for little ones but Toothtown makes it as fun as possible! The inside of the office looks like it is straight out of a cartoon, which makes it much less intimidating for the kids. All of the staff is so kind and comforting. I am so happy I found this practice. My baby is in good hands

ToothTown Pediatric Dentistry has been extremely thoughtful and caring toward all three of my girls. Having not been to a dentist for a while for my older two, and the first visit for my youngest, they were thoughtful, caring and considerate. They explained every step along the way to the girls, took the time to make sure they were prepared for the procedures necessary and took our schedul into account. Overall I would recommend them to anyone looking for a place to bring they're children.

Extremely happy I fond Tooth Town. Dr. Yang and her staff are very professional, great with kids and very clean office. It is very hard to get my son to the dentist for a simple cleaning and one of his tooth started to hurt so I brought him to Dr. Yang and he ended up needing to pull two teeth and one needed filled. Dr. yang and staff did a great job keeping him calm an pain free. He didn't cry at all. I will be bringing all my kids there now.

I love this office! Dr Yang and the entire staff are amazing! My son needed fillings and the care that he received was awesome! Dr Yang took her time to explain the work that was needed. I did not feel rushed or hurried, which makes me feel comfortable. She and her staff did a great job making my son relaxed. The office and work areas are extremely clean. The decor is really cute too. I highly recommend this dentist!

My son has gone to Dr. Yang's Tooth Town since he was 4.5 years old. He is now turning 16 and about to graduate to adult dental care. Though having moved all over Palm Beach County and even to Tallahassee (and back), I keep bringing my son twice a year to Dr. Yang. Dr. Yang is knowledgable, thorough and gentle with the kids. She is just a downright wonderful person and a great pediatric dentist, including the years of braces.
I highly recommend Dr. Yang and her staff. And I have to recognize her office as the most delightfully decorated medical space for child I have ever seen, including a fun play space in the waiting room.
