In my experience, the office and Dr. Hamidy is extremely polite, punctual, and thorough. I truly appreciate the time and effort he made to show, explain, and justify any and all work that needed to be done. Overall, I have confidence in him and his work, and I am glad that I chose this dentist (and office).

BEWARE. Years after seeking care from Dr. Hamidy, I'm still paying for the damage he's done. Two dentists refused to treat me and instead referred me back to this clown to fix the blatant mistakes he made (root canal and crown). Dr. Hamidy's response was to return to the clinic for multiple visits.no apology and no accountability as the care would be on my dime. This is the type of dentist you should beware of. Predatory and ineffective at his profession.

I have always had bad experiences with dentists, mainly from lack of trust. For this reason, I had not been to a dentist in over two years. Naturally, my mouth had became a myriad of cavities in this time-- which Dr. Hamidy physically pointed out to me. He worked closely with me to ensure that I understood why and how my mouth was to undergo reparations. Never have I trusted a dentist so much. Thank you Dr. Hamidy and staff!

BEWARE** This doctor should be ashamed of himself. I went in for a routine cleaning last summer and he told me I had 5 cavities and needed a crown totaling upwards of 5k. I didn't have the money at the time so I didn't go through with it. They emailed, called, texted and sent mail consistently trying to get me to come back. Well we're a navy family and moved back east and I went to a dentist here to finally get them all filled and he said there were NO cavities.

My mouth is completely healthy. This guy is legit scamming people and drilling into perfectly healthy teeth for a buck. It's so unethical and wrong that I'm reporting them to the better business bureau.

It seems like I have a similar story to a lot of other reviews here. While Dr. Hamidy was extremely kind and helpful in answering all of my questions- he unfortunately went on to tell me I need what was going to be almost ~$10,000 of dental work for multiple crowns for cracked fillings, 10+ cavities, deep cleanings and he was also very pushy about Invisalign and/or retainers.

As a student, this is obviously way out of my price range and I was taken back by all the problems since I've never had any before. I decided to get a second opinion from my long time dentist back home and I was told none of that was necessary and that I had 0 cavities. I don't want to believe that this misinformation was intentional, perhaps just a misread of the X-rays and pictures he took, but I would be wary if you ever come here.

As a UCSD grad student, it's convenient to go because of SHIP insurance and proximity to graduate housing.

I did my invisalign, wisdom tooth, and regular cleaning here. The place feels comfy, and people here are professional and caring. Definitely 5 stars.

I've had some previous unfortunate experiences with dental work, and so have had trouble finding dentists that I felt I could trust. My teeth used to be irritated for months after dentals cleaning from the poking and prodding, but I found that after a cleaning here that they felt better than before. I returned, started with Invisalign to fix some underlying alignment problems (which I just finished up), got a deep cleaning, and am very happy with the experience. Dr. Hamidy is more than happy to communicate the reasoning behind his treatment and is sympathetic to his patient's concerns. Now, rather than recoil away from anything to do with my teeth like I did before, I know I can trust Dr. Hamidy's office to help fix my problems.

I enjoy going to La Jolla Dental Image because the dentist Dr Hamidy is very thorough. The receptionists and other workers are all very friendly and accommodating. I've never had to wait very long and my visits are always very efficient. I go for check ups, cleanings, and I got invisalign braces from them. I highly recommend La Jolla Dental Image, especially if you're a UCSD student since they accept our insurance and are nearby campus.

I have had many things done to my teeth here including deep cleanings, fillings, a crown and recently Invisalign. I have always felt comfortable going to my appointments. The staff there is wonderful and they all care for their patients.

I'm not a fan of going to the dentist. Some places feel like they just want to maximize what my insurance is willing to cover and give me fillings when I don't really need them. Anyway, after a 3-year hiatus I finally decided I needed to get back to prioritizing my oral hygiene and decided to give this place a try. It's been great so far (I've been going for over a year now).

I've had a few fillings - but I was shown actual evidence of needing them and agreed with Dr. Hamidy's assessment. I've also undergone deep gum cleaning to combat the bone loss from going so long without a proper cleaning. This place is very clean, professional, and I am impressed with their use of technology to make procedures comfortable and safe.

I docked a star just because I get reminded EVERY visit about the need to straighten my lower teeth for better oral health. And I agree with this assessment as well, but I just don't have thousands of dollars lying around and it's a bit annoying for me to speak about this every time. But there is never any pressure to sell me on the work, just the constant reminder every time.

Just like the constant reminder to floss. I guess I'm just embarrassed because I wish I could take better care of my teeth and gums, but I'm a mom and my kids are my priority (not my teeth). Ugh.

La Jolla Dental Image has been great working with me and my insurance. The office is very helpful and accommodating. Everyone is friendly including Dr. Hamidi. He was thorough and explained his plan of action. I'm very pleased to have found such a great dentist since recently relocating to pacific beach.

I've had cleanings, fillings, and Invisalign done here and am satisfied with all the work done. Would recommend to anyone in the La Jolla area. Dr. Hamidy knows what he is doing and it is clear by his work that he is very concerned with the long term oral health of his patients. Prices are clarified and if I ever have questions, Farrah at the front desk helps to clarify.

They work great with primary and secondary insurance (they accept UCship as well which is a plus). Appointment reminders well in advance, you can get parking verified, and they are very covid conscience.

Great place to get your teeth in perfect shape if you have UC SHIP insurance! Honestly, its a great place in general, regardless of insurance. The dental team here is super great and efficient with their dental care. Dr. Hamidy does an excellent job of explaining each step of the process and ensuring that you are feeling no pain when getting work done!

Big shout out to the front desk team, specifically Farah, who was very nice to let me know all of my options when it came to treatment! Absolutely recommend this place to anyone!

Everyone at dental image is very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and they try their best to help you find ways to pay for your dental treatment if your insurance doesn't cover. I also appreciate that they respect your appointment time and don't keep you waiting in the lobby longer than you should. They're also being very cautious with their covid protocol. Definitely recommend!

I met this dentistry at a work health expo over a year ago. I won a teeth whitening kit through their raffle and went in to claim it. When I arrived they talked me into free x-rays to examine my teeth - they said it was needed to make my teeth trays for the kit. I went along with it, and Dr. Hamidy went over the results with me. He said I had about 5k of work that needed to be done and said he could do it all that day if I could stick around.

I was shocked with the results and pricetag, so I told him I would think about it. I took a picture of my results, thanked him and left. I made an appointment with my own dentist, thinking there must be something wrong - sure enough - more than half the work Dr Hamidy showed me was wrong. I had a 2 cavities, but nothing major. He was shocked to see what Dr. Hamidy had presented.

He was clearly out to cheat me. I called the office and told them I would not be proceeding. Since then, I have received a lot of texts, calls, emails and letters from the office. I have called them on many occasions, emailed them and asked them to stop sending me things, but they're ignoring my wishes. I blocked their number and more letters started coming. PLEASE remove me from your advertisements.

Dr. Hamidy is professional and has answered all my questions regarding any procedures done. The office is clean and appropriate gear is worn by staff to ensure everyone is safe during these unprecedented times.

Takes $110 for a "new patient special" and gives vague feedback on what could be done about my teeth crowding. Also claims I have close to 10 cavities, and that it would cost me $4000 to fix. Then goes on to quote $7000 for Invisalign and claims that it'll work very well for me. No explanation as to why it will work well. The other places in La Jolla provide FREE first consultations, and give thorough feedback to the patient as to what could be the path forward.

When I asked for an electronic copy of my X-rays for record, I was not sent anything. Instead, I receive cringe worthy mails in my mailbox as to how I need to begin treatment ASAP or else my teeth will decay miserably. Dr Hamidy clearly cares more about your wallet than he does about your dental health. Find someone else in the area, and avoid this place at all cost!

I have been going to La Jolla Dental for the last 4 years for regular cleanings and cavity fillings. They are professional and efficient and I definitely trust them in providing safe and thorough dental care.

I absolutely love my visits to dentist! Not a lot of you can say that about your dentist or your visit to a dental office! I had a chipped tooth and a missing crown. Both had to happen during the pandemic while we are all quarantining. I couldn't trust anyone to really do any procedure. so, went and got antibiotics and waited until they opened.

I was a little worried at first to visit my dentist, but as I called to make my appointment I realized they are taking a lot of precautions to make sure they are keeping their clients and associates safe. So, I felt safe going in. Work wise; they have always been professional and efficient. I feel like I have my life back, I couldn't eat for 3 months. So, I just wanted to say thank you I would give more stars if it was possible!

I hadn't back to a dentist in a while but Dr. Hamite and his team really helped me with all my teeth problems. additionally, they were very thorough and explained to me in detail what I needed to get done and why instead of just saying do this and that. Very informative and friendly, highly recommend

I ended up with Dr. Wali Hamidy purely accidental through 1800 Dentist. I needed a root canal specialist. My thoughts at that time is to just take care of my problem and go back to my regular dentist. I keep ignoring all the holiday greetings, birthday, and cleaning reminders from his office.and one day I thought, I can use a regular cleaning and ended up in his office again.

I ended up having more treatment and and cleaning. I can't be more happier. I am very satisfied and contented with his service. Dr. Hamidy worked very efficiently and quick. He is a man of few words but he will explain what he think you need without any pressure. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend Dr. Wali Hamidy to anyone who is looking for quality dental work.

Dr. Hamidy is great! I went to La Jolla Dental Image for orthodontic and everything worked out very well. I used to have braces for more than 3 years when I was in China, but my former dentist failed to align my teeth before I came to U.S. and my teeth stayed at a unpleasant incomplete situation for another 2 years. When I decided to fix my teeth forever, I saw La Jolla Dental Image's table in UCSD, and registered a free consulting immediately. Dr. Hamidy recommended me with Invisalign, which does not need frequent adjustments that I hated the most since I did that every month continuously for 3 years in China.

I compared the cost of Invisalign from several dentists around the area, and figured out that Dr. Hamidy's offer was the cheapest. The total cost for the Invisalign is 4200 plus refinements and a retainer. I started my first Invisalign at last October, and I have done everything now after six months. No extra costs, no accident, no disappointment. I'm impressed by the team since they fixed my schedules and everything perfectly and timely. Thanks to Dr. Hamidy and his team.

I honestly do not know where to start. This dentist should have his license revoked for scamming people, being dishonest and doing the worst dental work. My family and I went to doctor Hamidy's office over 4 years ago, unfortunately we all fell for his money grabbing pitch and believed him that we needed all of this work done to our teeth. In total we spent over $30k with him.

In the past 4 years I have had every single tooth extracted because of his poor root canals that he did. I just found out today on one of the teeth he did he left a file in the tooth from the root canal and he didn't even notify me- this can happen when root canal procedures are performed however the dentist does tell you. It was no surprise to me that this dishonest human being didn't let me know.

I went to a root canal specialist yesterday and they told me whoever did the work on your teeth did a poor job and unfortunatly we can not save another tooth. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A SPECIALIST! For any treatment you need that is not a general teeth cleaning go and see someone who just specializes in that field. I am beyond grateful for my dentist I currently have- they refer me to all of the specialists I need. I hope this information is useful to someone.

I have been a patient at La Jolla Dental Image for over a year. Dr Hamidy is very clear at explaining what you need before you start a treatment plan and, they will work with you if you can't do everything at once. My treatment consisted of a deep cleaning, 7 crowns and a partial. He would suggest I did a certain tooth first because of the imposing threat but, I would suggest another tooth because I just couldn't afford it at the time.

I basically did one or two teeth at a time and they were happy to accommodate me. I received a letter from my insurance company not wanting to pay for a certain procedure but I called them and they worked that out for me as well. I never had to call my insurance. The office is nice and clean. The staff is super friendly. I highly recommend.

My right upper wisdom tooth was hurting me so bad that i had to get into the dentist ASAP. I was in horrible pain. La Jolla Dental Image got me in first thing the following day. Dr. Hammidy was my dentist. He told me my tooth had to come out and I completely agreed with him because i legit couldn't handle the pain I was in any longer. I was horrified of getting my tooth pulled. He did it so fast. Immediately my pain was gone. I was even able to drive myself to work and work a full 8 hour day afterwards. Thank you guys for helping me feel better!

I was going to write a novel but let's stick with the facts: - I was told that I had 10+ cavities and needed a crown - I went to another dentist for a second opinion and I was told I had 0 cavities - I _feel_ as though Dr. Hamidy was willing to sacrifice my future dental health and perform unnecessary work for the gain of $3648.

THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS. I hadn't had any issues with my teeth for years. I came in here for a cleaning and a checkup. I was told that my mouth was riddled with cavities and that it would be thousands of dollars to fix. In addition, they kept stressing the time sensitive nature of getting these fixed. I went to a more highly rated dentist in the area for a second opinion and guess what! My mouth is fine. Unless you enjoy being over diagnosed and paying for unnecessary services don't come here!

So, I came back for my follow up I was a little late and they were accommodating. I was talking with the manager and she was apologetic and understood the review I wrote. I wrote in pain. They took really good care of me. Dr. Hamidy fixed my teeth with no questions asked. He explained to me why the filling wasn't completed correctly due to the novocaine.

I appreciate the patience they had with me. At the end they fixed it and now I can bite and feel my face. I think I just had too much done at once. They also agreed to reverse my office visit as they are in my network. They called the insurance company and confirmed. Moving forward I feel I can rely on a dentist that is local if I need.
