The procedures used were too extreme for us! The pallette expander was more invasive than described. We were not prepared for the discomfort of the pallette expansion and the associated drilling. The side effects to the procedure were not fully explained. Our other big issue was that we didn't feel it was appropriate of him to to make critical comments in front of our teens regarding their facial features. I'm sure it was merely clinical to him because he probably does this all day but to an impressionable teen these can be scarring things to hear from an adult authority.

To hear that there is something wrong with your face. We tried telling him to not say that but he did it again in the very same session where we told him not to do it. Our child asked about his problematic features and did not want to go to future appointments. We then swithched to a diffent ortho for our other teen.

Dr. Ting has been super amazing! The staff has always been super kind and wonderful at their job. They work with you to find the best treatment courses and payments as well. I highly recommend him if you are looking to get braces. My teeth look awesome now! I couldn't be happier :

I had MSE with Dr Ting and it was awful. I had many complications, a lot of them are not reversible, and some of them will require surgery to correct. It's been a complete nightmare and one of the worst things to happen in my life. I do not recommend. MSE is a risky and barbaric appliance from my experience.

Dr Ting gave me the best smile I could ask for and I highly recommend Ting Ortho for the kind staff and family friendly environment as well!

Great results so far! Both of our children are being seen at Ting Orthodontics and we are so pleased with the results up until now. Our older child has more of a complex case, but Dr. Ting has been able to navigate it and produce great results. Every single staff member is so courteous and efficient. Read the other reviews and they read more like paid ads, weirdly over the top positive yelp reviews. Since we left mid-treatment and went to another Ortho, we have heard from other parents who have had very similar negative experiences. This doctor interacts very minimally with his patients for a reason. His staff compensates for this by being over the top friendly. But make no mistake, they will not be honest if it means adding to your bill, which will happen, and he is already more expensive than your average Ortho.

This was a unique and exceptional course. The mixture of hands on/shadowing with lecture allows you to learn the protocols, materials and information and at a deeper level. Dr. Ting is a master at his craft and very open to all questions from treatment planning to protocol to materials. The team was extremely welcoming and helpful. They were quick with a smile and always offering assistance. This was one of the best course that I have taken. If you are considering doing MSE or you are doing MSE you need to take this course!

This was an amazing learning experience from a wet fingered clinician that actually treats patients, documents and shows what he does, the great, good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. I found the real life case based learning, especially when things did not go as planned, (which is real life dentistry and orthodontics!) was in-valuable!

I SO appreciate Dr. Ting and his team's sharing what they do, how they do it, and their helping me with my own systems to predictably implement the MSE, corticotomy, Dx, and Tx in a real world setting.

This place is a well oiled machine! Everyone was super friendly, they took me exactly on time, everyone was cheerful, everything was explained in detail without being rushed, but from Dr Ting and from the office manager. They even bake fresh cookies!

We love ting Orthodontics & staff. That's why we are giving them five starts. ( I wish I could give them more ) Everyone is always so happy and upbeat. Dena -the treatment coordinator is the first person you see when you first come in. She always greets you with a smile. She's so upbeat, sweet, smart and treats you like you are family. She's fabulous! Shelly- is the office manager and she knows her stuff. She's very pleasant to work with.

Some other places just try to sell you. Shelly is Honest, charismatic, trustworthy and very acknowledgeable. Dr. Ting - My son Chris says; " He's cool". And I agree. He's charismatic and splendid. And the most important thing is that my son, trusts him and feels comfortable. Anyway, That's why we decided to use them for my Son's orthodontic treatment.

We leave in Aliso Viejo and there's quite a few other Orthodontics in town but no one like Ting Orthodontics. we don't mind making the drive to RSM to go see them. P.S Check them out you won't regret it!

Dr. Ting and his staff are absolutely amazing, professional, and curteous. Dr. Ting is detailed oriented and a perfectionist.2 years ago, We took our son (he is 9 now) to Dr. Ting's office for braces. I was sceptical for having braces at age of 7 but Dr. Ting explained the benefits and suggested to go for it. It turned out to be correct decision on right time.

Just last week he has got all his braces off (within 1.5 yrs) and now on retainer for a year. Dr. Ting and team has been very supportive through out the process, making my son comfortable and now he has a million dollar smile. The best are the freshly bakes chocolate chip cookies and Ting bucks! I would highly recommend Dr. Ting for all your orthodontic needs!

If you're looking for the right orthodontist- you've found him! Dr Ting is the best! He is very knowledgeable and really cares about helping his patients, not only to have beautiful straight teeth but better breathing too! We have had two kids with braces with Dr Ting & they were always excited for their visits. The staff is amazing! They are all so friendly and upbeat and they make all the kids feel so special!

Dr. Ting and his team are amazing. With two years of braces and plenty of office visits we have always felt at ease. They explain everything so well and are readily available to answer questions. Today was my last day working here, and I have to thank them so much for everything they have done for me, take it from someone in the field Dr. Ting is one of the best orthodontists I have ever worked for most orthodontists tend to care about $$$ before patients not here I have seen that he truly always put his patients first and handles some of the most difficult cases, giving the best results possible he's a perfectionist!

I have worked in LA, Santa Ana, OC. Every other doctor who saw my resume knew who Dr. Ting was he's well recognized in the dental community. Ting Orthodontics is the best practice for my daughters needs. The office staff, the assistants, and Dr Ting! They are great with explaining everything to me and my daughter. Their type of self aligning braces require fewer visits than most. One of the best things is their payment program. To begin I found Dr. Ting at our city's festival so I received $200 off. The other plus is my payments are interest free. We see many of my daughter's friend here and everyone is so happy with their care.

I love coming to see Dr. Ting and his team. He has really helped work with my teeth to get them back to where they were after the first time I had braces. The permanent retainer that my first orthodontist gave me ended up ruining my teeth. After not wanting to having full braces again, I was able to go for Invisalign. It has been such a great process and his team is always outstanding, friendly, and gentle with your teeth. Did I mention they bake fresh cookies for their clients? Gotta love the extra touch!
