Born and raised in Columbia, SC, Dr. Ford S. Cooper returned to South Carolina in 1997 from Washington, DC and began his career in orthodontics. Dr. Cooper received his Bachelor's Degree in Zoology from Howard University in 1987 and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors from Howard in 1992. After graduating from dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency program at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC.

Was online and some how ran across this page. So I had to leave a review from my experience with DR Cooper. Because I went to him when I was in my young teens. Now I am 32 years old. But when I went there DR Cooper and his staff was awesome to me. They was always nice and he was always helpful. He did a really good job. Back then I liked to box a lot.
When I did wear a mouth piece it wasn't the right one. So I had broke my braces quiet a few times. And everytime he was so nice about it. By time I got my braces off my teeth looked really good. But unfortunately I wore my retainers 1 time and never wore them again. So I wasted alot of money and time. But that was my fault. Because Dr cooper warned many times about it. But over all Cooper did his part. And he did a good job. So I give him 5 stars from my experience with his office.

I was a patient here at this orthodontist and had my braces on for 5 years. I had activities at school that would force me to miss a few appointments throughout the years but sometimes I didn't want to go to the appointment due to Cooper and some staff members. He was honestly very rude to me and always had some type of attitude when it came to seeing me but no problem with someone else there.
The nurses (or whatever they are called lol) were nice and always took good care of me. I think it was honestly sad that I hated going to orthodontist mainly because of the owner/main doctor. You should welcome all your patients and be nice to them even if they miss appointments etc. I'm happy that I had my braces removed last year, only place that I knew of at the time that did monthly payments for braces. If I could tell my mom back then to go somewhere else, I would have.

Dr. Cooper and his team are great! I'm always greeted with a smile and seen within a few mins of arriving for my appointment. Dr. Cooper has helped me obtain not only a more aesthetically appealing smile, but a confident one. He was thorough in explaining what treatment would entail, time frame and expectations once complete. He kept me up to date on my progress at regular intervals and provided encouragement the entire time. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get orthodontic treatment!

I've been a patient of Dr. Cooper for over 20 years. I got my braces back in the 9th grade. I had a bad underbite. Dr. Cooper corrected my smile. My teeth have been straight for over 17 years. His staff is very helpful and friendly! They are also fast! I don't have to wait for hours for my appointment. I moved to Atlanta for 4 years and I still came back home to see Dr. Cooper for my retainer check ups. He's the best orthodontist around!

Dr. Cooper is hands down the best orthodontist around! Incredible atmosphere! Incredible team! Pam at the front desk worked so well with my busy Nurse and student schedule! My smile is now more beautiful than ever! I feel so much more confident after just a short 27 months of treatment with my braces!

My experience with Dr. Ford S. Cooper started, May of 2016. I was a little nervous and hesitant to get braces.being that I'm an adult male in my early 30's. Dr. Cooper, always reassured me that I was making the right decision. The staff are very professional, careful and courteous. Few times I broke brackets, which isn't anything out of the norm. They were always quick to book me an appointment ASAP to fix.
I highly recommend not breaking brackets, it disappoints Dr. Cooper. Only because he wants you to get thru your treatment, so you could see results. Overall my experience was great and what little nervousness and fear I had quickly dissipated. I've had my braces for a total of 18 months and get them off in about 2 weeks. So far, the results look great!

Dr. Cooper and his staff at the Spartanburg location made my orthodontic experience painless and easy! Dr. Cooper and I, as well as his staff members, know one another on a first-name basis and they all delivered high quality customer service! At my initial consultation, Dr. Cooper outlined his plan for me and followed through wonderfully and right on time!

I have known Dr. Cooper and his staff since 1997. My son and myself both received treatment under Dr. Ford Cooper. There is nothing like going to the office and feeling like you are surrounded by family. Dr. Cooper and his staff not only care about the outcome of your treatment but they care about you personally. The staff welcomes you with a bright smile and a warm heart.

Our experience with Dr. Cooper and his staff has been wonderful. I have two boys who desperately needed braces. My dentist advised us to find someone whom the boys would like, because we were going to spend a lot of time with him. I visited two different orthodontists before going to Dr. Cooper. When we went to Dr. Cooper, the boys immediately felt very comfortable and liked him right away.
He took his time with the consultation and explained everything. I had plenty of questions and he had no problems answering them. The girls (his staff) are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Cooper stays connected with the boys, always asking about their sports activities and. etc. I have recommended my friends to him and they also love him. We have been with Dr. Cooper now over three years and have absolutely no regrets.
My oldest son is now interested in becoming an orthodontist because he was influence by Dr. Cooper's greatness. Dr. Cooper offered my son to shadow him during the summer break. Thank you Dr. Cooper for all you've done for us. We love you! Ada, Matt, Nathan and Kevin Alimagham.
