Great dentist, but here's why I won't be taking my daughter back: My daughter had her first two dentist appointments here. The first one was an initial hygiene appointment and the second was her 1st cleaning. Dr. Pong was amazing, but both visits I had issues with the staff asking me about her paperwork and insurance information although it had already been received prior to the visits - an annoyance, but not a huge deal. So, I scheduled her 2nd cleaning at our last visit, which was supposed to be this coming Monday.

I missed a reminder call today, and in the voicemail it's stated that I will owe a certain amount with a self-pay discount and that I'll be receiving her paperwork to fill out via email.as stated, she's been here twice before so her paperwork should be on file as well as our insurance. Nothing has changed. At this point, I'd rather just go somewhere else, because obviously there are issues with the administrative side of the practice.

It is extremely annoying to have an appointment scheduled 6 months out just to be scrambling the day before to sort out information you've already provided. Someone isn't doing their job.

I have taken my son here for the past 12 years and before that my two sisters aged out of their pediatric office. So I have had many years of experience. They have never been anything other than amazing. Several years ago my son ended up with a cracked tooth that began to get severely infected. They worked him onto their schedule and even helped to get him over to an oral surgeon within the same day to get the tooth removed.

Everyone is always friendly and easy to work with. My son has never complained or been scared to go to the dentist, they have always made him very comfortable. I've never had a bad experience and will continue to recommend them to others even as my son ages out of their office.

This is the best pediatric dentist office in the area. 15+ years ago, we suffered through miserable experiences with hygenists and dentists that did not understand children with sensory difficulties. Thankfully, a friend recommended Dr. Pong and the lovely staff Smiles 4 Kids. The staff is friendly and organized. Dr. Pong is kind and takes a reasonable approach to dental care.

My kids love going to the dentist because this practice creates such a pleasant and dare I say, fun atmosphere! Dr Pong has been wonderful and when an emergency arose we were able to be seen very quickly. I've been bringing my 4 children here since they were little (my oldest is now 16). We are very very happy with Dr Pong and all her staff and 100% recommend.

Dr. Pong and her staff are so amazing and patient. I have almost 5 year old twins and they do such a great job tailoring to their individual needs. My son has no apprehension and does a phenomenal job, but my daughter requires a little more patience - something that Dr. Pong and her staff easily provide. They calm her fears and make both their dental experiences fun and educational. Dr. Pong and her staff are also patient with me as a parent and all the questions that I have. I never feel rushed to get out of there as they genuinely care about my children's well-being.

We love Dr Pong and Smiles 4 Kids! We have been going to her for 12 years and the office is always timely and my kids have never resisted going. We have had a few instances of needing emergency dental work. They always have gotten us in quickly and have been gentle so my kids are not afraid to go back. We recommend Smiles 4 Kids to all of our friends and family.

We have been taking our 3 sons to Smiles 4 Kids Dentistry for about 15 years. After several years of unhappy and, quite honestly, insensitive treatment of our autistic son, his special needs teacher told me that she takes her kids to Smiles 4 Kids. We decided to give it a shot. This practice has been nothing short of amazing for our children. We began with Dr Rubin, who has since retired, and moved on to Dr Pong and then Dr Ivory, who later joined the practice.

Their patience and sensitivity has resulted in both effective cleaning and X-rays, along with pleasurable visits for my sons. Our 3rd child was also later diagnosed with autism. Their staff is able to treat the boys in a quiet area adjacent to a family waiting room if they require a break. The technicians have decades of experience with children with special needs and it shows. Dr Pong and their staff are honestly caring and kind people. It has been my pleasure to spread the word about this fantastic practice :

Our kids have been patients here at Smiles 4 Kids since our oldest, who is now 20, was 2 years old! When Dr. Rubin was there They are so great with the kids and I have always felt that they are very thorough and also only recommend necessary procedures. Fantastic pediatric dentists- they take good care of my kids teeth! I have brought each one of my children to see Dr Pong and now that 2 of them are 18 years old, sadly they have to see an "adult" dentist and they are bummed! I refer every person who is looking for a pediatric dentist to Dr Pong and her office-the staff, her associates and everyone at the office are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend!

My kids have gone to Smiles for Kids since they were in early grade school and now they are 17 & 20! They both never developed a fear of the dentist and look forward to seeing Dr. Pong and her friendly staff.

Please Share! Not a good place! My child was referred to "Smiles4Kids" to get a tooth extraction! WORST PLACE EVER! They didn't want me to go with my child to the back room (suspect). I went with my kid. I need to see what's going on! My oldest was sitting in the front and the Receptionist jumped up and made a smart comment about me going back there with my kid!

After I had walked away. Then the same receptionist came back to the room and said I owe an extra $178. I ask her what did I just pay for she said the extraction. We discuss this on Monday and I circled what was being paid for and the extraction and spacer was included. (Paperwork proof). I have insurance and paid $120. I have good insurance so over charged out of pocket but have to wait 10 day after review with insurance. Then, when I confronted her after my baby procedure the receptionist had nothing to say not even apologize for her unprofessional behavior.

The other two receptionist turned their heads because they knew she was wrong! Also, My child had just went to the dentist and the dentist stated her teeth was fine, but that one because it was cracked and needed a filling. The dentist at this place "Smiles4Kids" stated she had 6 cavities that needed to be filled BY HER and it was going to come up around $1100. I declined! Because I was told different by her dentist. They are in it for the Money not to help your kids.

While Dr. Pong is a fine dentist, Dr. Ivy and the entire staff is horrendous! Dr. Ivy diagnosed two cavities in my son. Due to their lack of not taking my insurance any longer, we went to a different dentist to get the cavities filled. The other Dr. said my son did not have any cavities and only needed sealants on his molars. We avoided a $700 bill that Dr. Ivy was ready to charge. Also, since they were no longer taking my insurance, I was billed the full amount at the time of service.

I asked for a discount as the patient before us got a discount for paying in full and they told me they could not give me a discount because I had insurance. When I mentioned that even with insurance they would get a discounted payment as the plan allowances are always paid at less than what they charged, the lady at the desk said sorry we can't do that due to accounting issues. I call bull on that explanation. If you want to go to a dentist that rips you off then you've found the perfect place!

Dr Pong would not fix my child's dental work unless she was sedated. Dr Pong never tried any other alternative treatment prior to her assessment. My child is 9 years old and would of been fine without sedation. IV sedation is very expensive and very dangerous for small children. I took my daughter to Children's Hospital dentistry and got the problem taken care of without IV sedation. Parents, please do your research on dental offices that provide IV sedation for minor dental work prior to making the decision to go forward with it. I would not recommend this dentist office. Slow response times for prior authorizations also.

After being a patient for 16 years and being treated well it was just suggested to me that I take my son elsewhere by the receptionist. I canceled two appointments in May, one for cleaning and one for X-rays for wisdom teeth. I just called to reschedule both appointments. I was on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up on. I called back and they said they were scheduling for September at noon.

I asked if they had anything else, even later in the month or next month, since I am a teacher and the time was not convenient. The receptionist said no. I said even for the x rays. She said they were scheduling in September for those, too. She then suggested that I take my son to an adult dentist since he was 18 if I needed an afternoon appointment.

I said wow to her. I then said I would take the appointment and see what I could do about changing my sons' dentist. She said I should look into the adult dentist. I told her never mind about the appointment. I then hung up the phone. This dentist has been my sons' dentist for 16 years! I have trusted her and her staff for 16 years. My son is autistic and did not want to change dentists yet.

The last time we were at the dentist office I was assured that my son could go to Dr. Pong until he was 21 or 22. We still had time to acclimate him. Not now. He will see my dentist, who is 5 minutes from my home, from now on. I came to Dr. Pong for 12 years after I moved across town because my son was familiar with her. Too bad his last contact with her had to turn out like this.

Basing my review strictly off the interactions and not the service because unfortunately my son never made it that far! I scheduled a new patient appointment back in August for my son. The appointment wasn't until October. Their policy is new patient appointments have to have the actual parent at the first visit and only get times they can come as a new patient is before 12 noon. October gets here and my request is denied for that day, I immediately called to see if I could have his grandma take him instead she had all his information and insurance cards, once calling the receptionist wasn't sure so said she would call me back.

Never heard from her again until I myself called back the day of the appointment. Upon calling back the receptionist "remembered" and put me on hold. Came back and said my son couldn't come to the appointment with his grandmother has to be me. So they cancelled the appointment and I asked can he be rescheduled, the receptionist said yes but would call me back with other days and times, again never did she call Back so at this point I'm just gonna now go elsewhere.

Very professional great atmosphere. Really enjoyed our daughters doctor definitely recommend. Dr pong is great patient kind and understanding. Very knowledgeable

Our 3 year old's first dental visit went off without a hitch! She was comfortable and I was too! What a great pediatric dentist office. Both Dawn, the hygienist and Dr. Cindy Pong were patient, knowledgeable and informative. Thanks so much for taking such good care of my daughter!

We recently brought our 18 month old for his first visit. We had a wonderful experience! Dr. Pong and her staff immediately made him (and Mom) feel at ease. Our son loved the underwater theme and toys. Dr. Pong took the time to get to know us and answered all of my questions. Our son left smiling, and we're looking forward to our next visit! I highly recommend this practice!
