Inlays and onlays can be made of porcelain, gold, or composite resin. These pieces are bonded to the damaged area of the tooth.
Bonding can be used as a restorative procedure for teeth that are chipped, cracked, discolored or misarranged, and is an alternative to veneers. The tooth is prepared for the procedure by lightly etching the surface and applying a bonding liquid. Once the liquid sets, a plastic resin is applied and sculpted into the desired shape by the dentist.
The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants themselves are tiny titanium posts that are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. All of my experiences at Smith & Co. Dentistry have been extremely positive, from the friendly office staff to the dental assistants to the talented Dr. Hannah Hoge. She is not only highly skilled in dentistry (both my husband and I have had routine checkups & cleanings, fillings, and most recently, a crown installed when a decades-old filling broke off), she is personable and caring.
She explains each step and frequently checks in on how the patient is feeling. She has high expectations for each procedure and works for perfection. The office itself is spotless and modernized, with updated machinery and techniques. I highly recommend this practice!

Love this dentist! My husband and I are new to the area, and it had been a few years since we went to a dentist. After some research online I chose to bring us here. I am so glad that I did. This was by far the best dentist I've been to. Dr. Hoge, Alleah, Amber, Johanna, and all of the receptionists have been nothing short of amazing. They are all kind and incredibly helpful. The facility itself is updated and clean. You will not regret coming here!

Smith and Co Dentistry immediately made an impression on me. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly staff members who will go the extra mile for their patients. The conversation I witnessed today in the waiting room between the front desk employee and an elderly client was so uplifting. I was seen ahead of schedule by Dr. Hoge. She was pleasant to talk to, having a nice mix of friendly conversation while also keeping me updated on everything she was doing to my teeth and how they looked. She was willing and able to answer all of my questions. I am so glad I have found a dentist for here on out!

Dr. Hoge was amazing! I was able to be seen in a timely manner and she treated me very kindly! She was so gentle and professional and fixed my problem very well. She explained everything so well and was able to give me advice and make sure my teeth were good! Very impressed and satisfied in my visit with her! Highly recommend

I love Smith & Co. Dental! Dr. Smith and the hygienists are always personable and have a great attention to detail. Dr. Smith prioritizes weighing the cost with the benefits so you get the best treatment. The office has a nice atmosphere and has a clean cut, updated look. They do and great job and have always been very friendly!

DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST! I was ripped off for over $1200 -- that is so much money on my salary--makes me literally sick! I needed a crown. I signed a paper for the amount I would pay out of pocket, gave them the amount on the estimate that I signed the same day the work was completed at the dental office. Then I get a letter that Dr. Smith completed work that was not covered by my insurance and he billed me out of pocket for over $1200, even though he verbally told me to my face that "all of the work would be covered by the estimate they had given me. HIs explained that his secretary and already taken care of this, or it would not be in my plan." Unfortunately this was not true!
It was never included in the estimate they had me sign, in addition I was told that the extra work had already been approved by my insurance company and it was included in the original estimate that I had already signed. I consulted with an attorney who was amazed that this happened! He offered some avenues to try to work things out with them before I reported them.
I have contacted their office repeated times and so has my insurance company. So I filed a grievance and a report to the State's Attorney General. Thinking about the BBB and the Dental Licensure board. I made repeated attempts to work this out with them. They were not willing to help even with this large amount of money in any way: no reduction in price because it was out of pocket, no payment plan, nothing! BEWARE!
