Removable Appliances: Niteguide is a removable devices used to guide teeth in proper position in growing children. This is offered as a preventive/interceptive treatment when patients still have baby teeth. Rubber Bands: Used to align the bite. Braces straighten the teeth on each jaw bone and rubber bands bring upper and lower teeth into an even bite.
We do our best to differentiate our practice from the rest. Our team will help you feel comfortable in the office from your first visit to your last; always welcoming any questions you may have about the process. We have countless other explanations why we think our practice could be the perfect fit for you; here are just a few of them.
Our objective is to make sure your visits with us will be pleasant and informative. Your first visit consists of a complimentary examination with orthodontic x-rays and a discussion of potential treatment options. We take orthodontic x-rays on all patients before the initial consultation. These x-rays help us to evaluate the orthodontic needs of the patient thoroughly and are an important step in the path to get a beautiful smile.
It is usually difficult to know if orthodontic treatment is necessary because there are many problems that can occur even though the front teeth look straight. Asking your general dentist is good reference, but Angolkar4Smiles is the best resource since orthodontics or braces are all we do. Our initial exam is complimentary, so it makes sense to get a consultation with us and we will be happy to give necessary recommendations.

DON'T GO HERE! I was told I needed 4 teeth extracted to make space before I got my braces it seemed a little weird because I didn't think I needed it. I went to another orthodontics place to get a second opinion come to find out I don't need 4 extractions. Don't trust Dr Angolkar. I'm so happy I found another place that cares about my teeth and my profile look.

Horrible service. I schedule a invisalign consult, which they state they do per the website. I arrive 30-40 mins prior to my appt time, waited an additional 20 mins after for my turn. They didn't bother to take an xray of my teeth and deemed me a not worthy candidate for invisalign. The ortho states he take very minimal invisalign cases but gave me no other recommendation because no xrays were taken. Nor did the website. Wasted time and energy.

I was 13 or 14 when I first had braces. A little excited about what color bands etc, but no. I wore farm equipment for a year. Every bracket had a latch, not the colored, fun stuff my classmates had lol. So that was a letdown, but not as much as needing to argue with the Dr. about why every bracket was detaching from the glue. It isn't cheap and it p****d my parents off.
What I wasn't able to remove myself, (my sister ripped every one off) another orthodontist removed and replaced it with the normal wear. The worst of it all. I am 30 years old (I started invisalign at maybe 23 just to keep them in place better) I don't have any enamel left on 2 molars of my bottom teeth (same ones, each side). I went through life with 24/7 nerve pain every time I eat because this Dr. literally sanded them down to where the rigid structure normal for teeth were to remain completely flat.
A simple xray, which he already did, would indicate that the nerves were already really near the surface. So now I'm 30. My teeth aren't perfect but that's fine. I'm pretty happy and we are our own worst critics. Except for the 2 molars this idiot filed down to nothing. My bite was already pretty ok at that point. I was referred to an oral surgeon at ~28 for a root canal on one of those 2.
I haven't been back to the dentist since. The opposite side is now the same. They are crumbling literally. ER visits for pain from the root being exposed and infected, Etc. I was quoted $~2,000.00 at the oral surgeon I had a referral for from my dentist. There is no way I'll fix it at that amount, My insurance will only pay to extract the tooth (now teeth) (unless it is a front tooth) so my only option is stocking up on knock-off Dentemp/Fixodent. I'm sorry to leave a bad review but with the amount of money spent over the years to have it all come back to one doctor in and 2 teeth is pretty hard to forget. I hope he has taken a larger step to listen to patients and parents, and do more diligent work. -Travis K.

This practice is semi-okay. I have been a patient for about 3 years and through my experience it was not great. The receptionist are excellent and kind but the dental assistants and orthodontists are not. This place seems messy and out of sorts. The assistants always talk among themselves and act as if they know better than the patient. Some hurt my teeth and always ask for help.
None of the orthodontists seem to practice any humility as they serve a huge immigrant population. They're arrogant and have a huge ego. I advise this practice to go through a extensive training on how to provide adequate care for their patients. Especially on cultural competency. P.S you are serving much of South Seattle and caring and serving for your patients should be a huge priority -- especially with diversity & inclusion.

Ive been going to this clinic for about 5 years and the front desk and techs are all great. They have great customer service and friendly faces. I've had a pleasant time with almost every visit. I had an appointment to get my retainer replaced because I had lost my old one about a month prior. Nobody in the clinic informed me what the procedure was and that they were going to use the mold of my current teeth.
My main complaint was that I felt my teeth shift and that I wanted the same retainer I had before. Once I received the new retainer I asked why I hadn't gotten my old one, the doctor then proceeded to poorly explain why I had gotten a retainer with the new shape of my teeth. The doctor told me "it looks better as it is" putting in his own opinion and stating that my teeth hadn't shifted that much afterwards contradicting himself and stating that my teeth had shifted too much for my old retainer.
This honestly just sounded like an excuse. I was told after I had gotten my braces off that I ever lost my retainer, I would be able to come in and they would have my old mold still. If I had known beforehand that the retainer I was going to receive wasn't going to be the one I used to have I wouldn't have paid the $250. The experience was overall overwhelming and I would not recommend going there unless necessary.

Update: The owner Raj has replied, And trying to deflect and downplay the situation. 1)I got that molar pulled out years before I had braces. 2)He had never discussed with my mother the plan to not put braces on my molar teeth. And of course I walked out when I'm being treated with disrespect and talked down too. This place is a joke!

I have had a pretty good experience with Angolkar. The price I'm paying for my adult braces is half the price I was quoted at Leon and Vaughn in the Madison Park area! A majority of the staff are genuinely friendly and professional. Scheduling appointments has also been painless and their reminder emails and texts are great! To better improve their services there should be more options for adult tongue thrusting patients, like a removable tongue crib.
The bonded tongue crib they installed on me was a complete nightmare and I don't believe my concerns with my speech impairment and pain were taken as seriously as I would have liked. I also didn't appreciate the lack of full disclosure when I inquired about needing time off work to adjust to the crib and the level of speech inpairment. Besides that, I can't complain about the service I have received. I have and will continue to recommend Angolkar to friends and family. Thanks for all of your hard work!

I was about 10 minutes late because of traffic. It wasn't my fault I left 40 minutes before my appointment. I've had a super nice lady who rescheduled it for me before when my car broke down. But this time they said I probably wont be seen. When I got there all they did was remind me that I was late. I forgot to brush my teeth because I was in such a rush to leave my house to get to my appointment, they humiliated me by "teaching me how to brush my teeth" it really pissed me off. I'm not stupid I know how to brush them. I'm thinking about changing locations. Also I refuse to let Hannah touch my teeth again she's horribly rough with my mouth.

So, I know I have a bad habit I smoke, but when I go to places I spray myself with Febreze. I took my daughter here and they were spraying Lysol around me and my daughter, saying now it doesn't smell bad. I will never be back. I have found someone better that doesn't discriminate against someone that smokes. I know my daughter doesn't smell like smoke because I smoke outside. If I could I would give him a 0.

I had my braces done by Dr. Angolkar @ the Tukwila office. He is the BEST in the business! He's been an orthodontist for longer than I've been alive! LOL The staff here is really nice. The gals that work at the front desk are very friendly/talkative : & the dental assistants are very friendly as well. I would always look forward to my appointments because I enjoyed interacting with the staff. Bottom line I would recommend this place to anyone & everyone that needs orthodontic work, you will not be disappointed!

I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but I think I need to spare people the humiliation of going to this place. I have to give the reception stuff 10 stars (if it was possible), but when it comes to the orthodontist Dr. Raj V. Angolkar, he was ABSOLUTELY THE RUDEST person I have ever dealt with. He almost made my 12 year old daughter cry and when I told him very politely (there were witnesses that can attest to that) that I didn't appreciate the way he was treating us, he proceeded to say that he is VERY good at what he does and if I didn't like it I should find another orthodontist, then he simply walked away from the room.
I also want to add that the dental assistant apologized for him and said that he is very blunt an the office gets a lot of complains from people saying he is very rude. Needles to say I will NEVER, EVER come back to this place again. He was totally unprofessional and plain RUDE with no sign of remorse. He has no people skills whatsoever. He never said sorry or anything. Simply told me to go somewhere else and walked away.
