Tooth By The Lake

I have been extremely please with all the work done here. I believe in the type of dentistry, and am so glad I had my old amalgams removed. Dr. Seaverson is so awesome. I have also had my teeth cleaned and was very pleased with the new method. The only reason they did not get 5 stars was 1. they did not let me know I had over $350 credit for 3 years! Do they not audit? And 2. the cost, which is fair because they are a business, but I can no longer afford them, as they don't take insurance.

Had a cavity repaired and old amalgam removed. The team was great and super professional. After questioning my previous dentist about fluoride and BPAs I quickly realized I needed to find a different practice. So glad I found Tooth by the Lake and not having to feel like a quack for wanting to avoid certain substances. Much recommended and their price was very reasonable. The best part is that my old dentist was pushing for a crown and here we were able to just do a cavity fill and preserve the tooth.

Great first experience. Better than other Holistic dentists I have been to throughout the years.

Kari is the best holistic dentist in the Twin Cities. She is honest, professional and compassionate. Her work is absolutely impeccable! The work she did even 12 years ago still look pristine, she removed all of my mercury fillings following a strict protocol of safe removal and the fillings still look in perfect condition. I have never had an issue since.

I recently had a new filling with the most comparable filling material for me; she even matched the color to my tooth making the filling look nearly invisible! I had an emergency during the pandemic locked down last year and she open the clinic just to address my emergency. Her team is professional and friendly. Peggy has work with her for 15 years and she will make sure your experience is top notch. Their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Kari and her team!

We are new patients here. Every time we have gone in the last several months we are told MANY different things about our insurance coverage. No one knows what they are talking about and we were over charged for a recent visit and have been waiting to be reimbursed. My husband just recently had a filling done with John Seaverson and started feeling very sick about an hour afterwards.

He was very dizzy and was throwing up. I called the office to talk to him about what was going on and received a phone call back from John Seaverson. He asked me how long after his filling was done did he start feeling this way, I said about an hour and that we think it's from the Novocaine. His response was it's definitely not from anything we did.

My husband then went to Urgent Care and was told he was having a bad reaction form the Novocaine. My husband is completely back to normal today. I even googled side effects from Novocaine and this is one of them, and the side effects can occur 3 to 5 hours after receiving the Novocaine. I also had a poor experience there. I had my teeth cleaned and it caused the entire pain and swelling on the left side of my face, especially my gums and my lip.

I called to talk to Kari Seaverson I was worried I had an infection. I was told she has never heard of that before and that it's most likely not from the cleaning. I also googled this and learned it was a bad reaction to the cleaning. I was told to gargle with salt water and call back in a few days. Thankfully the swelling and pain went away a few days later.

I find it really hard to believe that a busy dental practice has NEVER heard of these 2 things happening to patients. I would watch out and be very cautious! I really wanted to like this place too bad the only thing good about it is that they are flouride free. We are going to find a different dentist. They really make you feel like you are just another number and as if they could care less about you. Terrible customer service, terrible dentist and terrible experience. Please take your mouth and teeth elsewhere.

I had 3 fillings done today with Dr Kari. She is the most gentle dentist I have ever had. No joke, even the shots didn't hurt. Plus, she checked my numbness 1/2 way through and topped off the novocaine. It's 10pm now and I've had no pain and very little discomfort all day. That has never been my experience at any other dentist. My wife goes here and talked me into trying it.

At first I came just to please her and figured I would show her how much money I would save with the guy close to my house vs her "eco" dentist. Well. turns out my guy's the same price and the his shots do hurt

These people are awesome and have been going there for several years now. They are very friendly and it is a nice clean place that you can feel comfortable in. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a great dentist to take care of their needs. I had all of my amalgam fillings removed and replaced and they did it conscientiously removing any of the fumes that could be a problem in the removal process.

Everyone seems to love this place. I went in two years ago to have my teeth cleaned/checked and was told I had 5 cavities. I knew I had one on my right side so I agreed to have them filled. They drilled and filed 3 on my right side. And I do mean drilled. I wanted a second opinion on the last two since there was so much drilling with the first three.

The other dentist(my new dentist) said the cavities on my left were at the very early stages and could even be prevented if I just kept brushing normally. I believe the male dentist I saw was just out for the money of filling cavities. And to make matters worse one of the teeth this guy did fill in was drilled so deep that the outer wall of my tooth chipped off, and now the tooth will never feel or chew normally unless I get an implant.

They butchered my mouth. I am only leaving this review now because their filling has massacred my molar. Look for honest dentists, not ones out to make every dollar they can at your wallet, and now my mouth's, expense. I will always let everyone who asks my honest opinion of these dentists. Disgraceful.

I started coming to Tooth By the Lake when looking for a holistic dentist 20 years ago. I still come and so does all my family and many friends and others I have referred. The Dr.s and staff are knowledgeable, caring and skilled. I drive quit a distance but will never change dentists. My health and my families health is important and this is the place to be!
