Dr Affara is amazing; he is very friendly, always makes sure you're comfortable, and he explains things extremely clearly. I went to him after not going to a dentist in 3 years, and there was zero judgement. He filled a very large cavity with confidence and ease. The novocaine needle was painless!

The staff were welcoming and helpful. Dr Affara was thorough and gentle in the care he gave. His assistant was great. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Smile Designers.

Dr Affara has been absolutely AMAZING! As a dentist and as a person he's just incredible. I remember the first time I went there he applied lip balm to my chapped lips while doing a cleaning and I knew he was the dentist for me. He's been so helpful over the past few years as I've had quite some issues with my teeth. He's very kind and cares about his patients which can often be rare to find. Definitely go see Dr. Affara, you won't regret it!

Dr. Affara is a great Dentist and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new dental hygienist. Jenny, the receptionist is great and always helping out the best she can. All the staff at Smile Designers are helpful and kind.

Best dentist I've been to. Dr. Affara is knowledgeable, kind, reasonable, and humble. I can't say I've ever been passionate about a dentist before, but I will take any opportunity to brag about Smile Designers. My whole family goes here and we are slowly convincing all of our friends to do the same. You will not regret coming here.

I have to get a filling. The dentist terrifies me. I get so very anxious. I am seated in a leather recliner with heat and vibration. My neck resting on a pillow. VR headset on Watching Sherlock (BBC version of course) and a hot towel to complete the experience. The staff was lovely and attentive and Dr Nicholas Affara was gentle and super observant to every body movement, change in breathing, or facial grimacing. In summary, I feel like a wuss and if you need a dentist this is the place to go.

Dr. Affara is such a nice guy and a true professional. His staff are courteous and very competent also. They use the latest equipment and have a convenient location if you're around the Salem area. Finding a good dentist is kind of like finding a good mechanic. I'd recommend giving Smile Designers and Dr Affara a shot.

Dr. Affara and his staff are wonderful. Our entire family goes to Smile Designers. He is so courteous and gentle. He kept checking in with me during my procedure. His hygienists are so kind. One hygienist make a child so comfortable during his cleaning, the child asked the mother when he was coming back. From the minute you walk in, the front office personnel makes you feel so comfortable. The reminder service is so convenient. The office is incredibly clean. We have found our dentist for life.

Love love love Dr Affara and the staff here. They make going to the dentist something pleasurable, not something to be feared. Dr Affara is so kind, constantly checking on your wellbeing during your procedure (and I've had MANY by him!) and he does an excellent job! I've never know another dentist be so good at numbing you up, it's almost painless yet he doesn't give you too much either, so you aren't drooling for hours afterwards!

I have future work lined up with him as I have an illness where I have needed almost My whole mouth rebuilt and he even made custom teeth to my design! I can't recommend him enough!

I am pleased to receive my dental services at Smile Designers. Dr. Affara and his staff are always cordial and considerate and have the patient's utmost comfort in mind with heated, massaging dental chairs, neck pillows, glasses to shade your eyes, etc. Dr. Affara is a perfectionist and takes time to make everything fit just right and ensure the customer's satisfaction.
