At first plates worked for TMJ.but stopped working after a week. I called them for a week straight for an adjustment. No return call. Went to office they were mortified. Then called for an appt due to gums bleeding in plate. Melissa told me I had to wait for an appt in a month and a half. Then I had an appt one day. Got there at 3:01. Wife at desk forgot about me.
I was sitting for 2 hrs. It is all on my phone. They were so embarrassed. NOT GOING BACK.I was told to call anytime. No return. They forget. Dog running through office. I'm done.

TMJ success where others fail! Prior to seeing Dr. Cortese, I went to a major teaching hospital which basically told me to "live with it". Dr. C is masterful both technically and in patient care. So happy to have found him and his staff. Didn't know hitting the rewind button on TMJ was possible. No guarantees but Dr. Cortese gives his patients the best chance of success.

I went to Dr. Cortese because I had a total TMJ anterior dislocation. My mouth would only open a very minimal amount. Dr. Cortese used a two appliance method to treat this, and in three months I had an 85 percent recovery which is phenomenal. He was great to work with, he has a great personality and makes you feel at ease from the beginning. Having the results that I have, I would highly recommend Dr. Cortese to anyone with serious TMJ issues.

Dr. Cortese is a miracle worker! I went to several other providers, and nobody else could do anything for my TMJ pain. Dr. Cortese's treatment eliminated my jaw pain. I used to have headaches every day. Now that my pain is gone, I don't need to take ibuprofen every day, which has also helped my stomach. I sleep better too! I can't get over how amazing my results are. If you have TMJ pain and are looking for something that will help, stop searching! You found it! Don't waste your time going anywhere else.

My wife who is very sensitive to pain recommended Dr. Cortese, saying he is patient and gentle, and her experience was pain-free. When I chipped a front tooth my former dentist couldn't see me for a week, but Dr. Cortese brought me in immediately and rebuilt the tooth. No pain, perfect repair. I have been a regular patient ever since. No waiting, no rushing. I'm a huge fan.

Dr. Cortese and his office team do a really great job taking care of TMJ patients. Many dentists claim to specialize in TMJ, but finding a specialist in this area who really knows their stuff is very hard. I felt that Dr. Cortese really is an expert in this area. He put me on a personal care plan that involved the creation of custom day-time and night-time devices. After a few months, I feel much better and my pain is almost gone. Thank you Dr. C and your great and caring office staff. You have done right by me!

Dr Cortese has never pushed any services or work on my teeth. The only thing I'm encouraged to do is use my Rotadent and trays as a knowledgeable preventative method. I have several gold crowns that have lasted over 10 years without any additional work. If you have a problem with anything you can drop back in the next day for a reevaluation. The insurance process is easy and prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend Dr Cortese and his staff.

Dr. Cortese and his entire staff care about their patients. He takes care of his patients. I'm not sure why there is a bad review on here but I've been to many dentists, I've been to those "assembly" line dental practices and although I have dental insurance and he is out of network, I choose to go to him.and pay for it.because he's worth it.
I also don't know why the other review said the office staff is trying to sell you something, my visits have ALWAYS BEEN POSITIVE. HE EVEN SUGGESTED I GO SEE A DIFFERENT type of dentist for a second option on a tooth that he honestly said couldn't be saved. Honesty, integrity and a great work ethic.do yourselves a favor and make an appointment NOW:

Dr Cortese did a bridge for me way back in 1992 which looked very natural with perfect color. I fell skiing last year and heard something snap. After a few months my bridge came loose. Since I no longer live in NJ I picked a local dentist here in Albuquerque NM. The dentist here said I would have to have my teeth pulled have bone added and implants.
The process would take months and I would have to wear a plate for about 4-6 months. The thought of that really disheartened me. I flew back to NJ and saw Dr Cortese and he was able to make me a new bridge that matches my other teeth perfectly. It cost me about half what the other process would have and I'm all fixed in just a couple of weeks. The staff at the office couldn't be nicer and I'm thrilled with my results. Best Dentist ever!
