A dental cleaning is a professional cleaning you receive from a dental professional. Cleanings should be performed every six months to prevent excessive plaque buildup. Plaque left untreated can lead to unhealthy gums and tooth decay. A routine dental cleaning may include scaling above and below the gumline and a final polishing of the teeth.
4. Please do not threaten a visit to the dentist as punishment. Instead, help your child understand that healthy foods and brushing keeps their teeth healthy and strong. 6. Please arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, so we might answer any questions you may have prior to seeing your child.
We are dedicated to providing our patients with high quality care and base our treatment recommendations on your child's needs. If you recently added your child to your insurance or acquired new insurance, please determine possible "waiting periods" and if any referral forms are required by your policy.
Pediatric dentists are dentists who specialize in caring for young children and are dedicated to providing the highest quality care and guidance to help children grow up cavity free with beautiful smiles. We are sort of like pediatricians for teeth! Our job certainly involves treating cavities but we also focus on prevention while monitoring their growing smiles. Our offices are tailored for children only. We also have special training in treating children with special medical or behavioral conditions.

We had an appointment today and I brought both my boys- a 3 year old and my 8 month old. While my oldest told me he had to use the restroom, the sweetest dental hygienist held my baby so I could take my older one to the restroom. The workers and dentists there are so kind and helpful. Every experience there has been better than the last!

Who doesn't like to go to the dentist? No one, but my kiddos loved the entire experience at Foothills Pediatric Dentistry. Everyone from the front office staff, our dental hygienist, and Dr. Drew Osborn were kind and very thorough on our children's plan to care for their teeth. If you want to start your children off in the right direction of caring for their teeth then you need to schedule a visit to Foothills Pediatric Dentistry.

We have always received wonderful care for our two littles. The office is very welcoming and the staff always goes above and beyond to make sure the children are comfortable. Our daughter broke a tooth when she fell at 3 yo and had to have the tooth pulled. Dr. Brodal was exceptional with her and she never experienced any pain! Hands down the best in town!
