Dr. Sletten is a third generation specialist in orthodontics. The Sletten family has been providing orthodontic care to the Midwest for over 60 years! He graduated as salutatorian of the University of Minnesota Dental Class of 1999 and earned both his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa.

I had braces for nearly three years, and just got them off today. Not only did Sletten & Brettin Orthodontics provide me with a sweet smile, but every time I entered the building I was welcomed with happy faces and the nicest people around. Dr. Sletten is incredibly professional, and really took care of my teeth. Everybody working for him did a great job too.
They're all so energetic and fun to talk to, and I'm honestly going to miss having orthodontist appointments! I'm only 17 years old, and my teeth looked pretty awful three years ago. Now I have so much more confidence in my smile, but I'd say the experience of going there was just as rewarding.

Highly recommended for any age/ortho issue! Dr. Sletten and his team corrected my 47 year old bite issue (that was leaving me with discomfort and chipped teeth) and as a bonus, I won't need jaw surgery and my teeth have never looked so great! If you are in the twin cities and want the best orthodontist/care around, this is where you'll want to go!

I was bringing my granddaughter for her appointments when we decided that my teeth needed some attention too. So happy to have my smile back! My granddaughter's teeth are looking better all the time. Dr. Dan Sletten at Sletten & Brettin created a plan for my son Benny who had fairly bad teeth to start. Over the last 1 1/2 years they worked diligently with him and expertly changed things as needed. He got his braces off in Sept. 2019 and it was just amazing how his confidence has grown. As an adult who already went through braces as a kid, it's frustrating to face the idea of going through the process again. But, the fact of the matter is my teeth had shifted over the years and I was unhappy with my my crooked teeth. After a quick conversation with Dr. Sletten, I was confident that I was in good hands and the process wouldn't be so bad. I chose Invisalign and my results are perfect! My son had his braces for 3 years and Sletten and Brettin took such good care of him and his teeth. Always a friendly smile when we walked in and when we missed an occasional appointment they always were understanding and able to reschedule. All four of our children (and myself also) had braces through Dr. Sletten. The Stillwater staff is amazing - kind, thorough and accommodating. They work with your busy schedule and were very helpful when we had multiple people in braces at the same time. On top of being a great orthodontist, Dr. Sletten is very generous to and supportive of the Stillwater community. I highly recommend Sletten & Brettin.

Dr. Dan Sletten and team are absolutely AMAZING! As an adult FINALLY taking the plunge and getting braces, let's be honest, it was a little nerve racking. They were so wonderful to work with, very professional, talented, and knowledgeable. I have recommended them to many adults and kids and would encourage anyone to get their consultation done ASAP with them and get those braces on from Sletten. And to all the adults questioning should I. Just do it! :

Dr. Sletten met with me many times to make sure my mouth guard was a perfect fit. He was competent, flexible with appointment times and personable. Staff and Dr. Sletten made extra precautions to work with my vertigo and made sure I was always comfortable. I would highly recommend Sletten & Brettin Orthodontics.

I am very pleased with Dr. Brettin and his staff. His facility is very clean and the staff treated myself and Mya with great respect. Over our journey correcting Mya's teeth I am pleased that Dr. Brettin is a perfectionist and would not quit until he was happy with the outcome of her teeth. Mya's smile is wonderful and I'm glad that Dr. Brettin was the one to give my daughter her confedience back to smile in photos and in real life.
