I'm speaking from both a small business owner and costumer. The staff is always very friendly and helpful as well as extremely skilled at what they do. I've never had to wait no matter the time of my appointment they operate with a NASCAR pit crew efficiency but don't make me feel rushed at all. I will absolutely go to them with any ortho needs and highly recommend.

I love this place! The staff are very very nice and they care, I have a aunt that works there so I got in really fast for a consultation when I was wanting braces, Dr. Hood alone is the sweetest most nicest man I've ever known he's such a caring person that puts his patients first and he fixed one of my biggest insecurities and now I can't help but smile and show my perfect teeth that he gave me his work is absolutely astonishing, I love how when you go in for your check ups for your aftercare along with retainer check he can look into your mouth one second and then the next tell them what to do right away he truly knows what he's doing and I trusted him the first day I met him his pride for what he dose is great and like I said in the beginning the staff is the best! They greet you when you walk-in and it's very clean as well so if your wanting a place with good services this is the place you want, hands down.

You've given me the best gift a man could ask for the girl I'll love forever has been given the most beautiful smile on the planet. I see that smile and my heart skips a beat I'll forever be in your debt sir. Thank you dearly

Dr. Hood is THE BEST! I have lived in other countries, multiple states North Dakota and Washington (just to name a couple) and I can say with a great deal of certainty that we are insanely fortunate to have a doctor like Dr. Hood in our Chico community. He is the real deal, a straight shooter that has an incredible work ethic. He treats patients with genuine care that is really unmatched by any other. His staff (the women who work at the front desk), especially Marciela and Debbie are incredible human beings. I wish I could this place ten stars!

I can't understand why anyone would give Dr. Hood and his office staff less than 5 stars. I have always had the best, most courteous treatment by each and everyone of his well trained staff. He is good at what he does. My new smile turned out great and his maintenance policy is the best. De. Hood has a great upbeat personality and even moving his Paradise patients to the Chico office has not effected the appointment flow. Rarely have to wait past my scheduled time. I thank his office.

We love Dr. Hood. He moves fast, and does have a quirky sense of humor, but we have always felt it was one of camaraderie. My daughters teeth were very wonky, and he was honest that it was likely she would need 3 years and a stabilizing bar after, but that the extra time would not cost more. He also said that if she followed the rules (wearing the bands each night, etc. ) to the letter that she could probably cut off some of the time.

I like that he does not sugar coat things. His staff are efficient and keep to his pace, but they always make my daughter feel good. Everyone remembers my children's names, ask about their schooling, and life. I'm glad we picked him out of the phone book;)

This office is awesome. The staff is friendly and professional. Every time I go in for an appointment they are fast, informative and always remember you by name. Their office is welcoming and feels like you are their top priority. I would strongly recommend Scott for anyone that's looking for an orthodontist or just to chat about fishing.

Doctor Hood and his amazing staff made my treatment plan a fun and rewarding experience. They were always friendly, sometimes amusing and always professional. Great people, with fantastic results. Highly recommend their orthodontic experience.

Dr. Hood is so great! We were financially strapped and he worked with us to give my daughter what she needed. We had been to two other orthodontists that quoted us well over $2000 compared to his $200! I highly recommend his office!

Dr. Hood did not only my Ortho but my 3 sisters and we all had complex cases and amazing results! I'm now an adult and didn't properly wear my retainer and I'm back in Ortho treatment and Dr. Hood is just as professional and kind now as he was 10 years ago. I'm in the dental field and I've only seen great results from this office. Highly recommend him and his staff!

I agree with a previous reviewer that maybe they're just not that great with adults. the assistants were hit and miss. i had to insist at one point to only see one for every appointment. aside from the consultation i never had any time to ask him questions since i'd been told "he likes to keep the chairs full." i felt like any curiosity i had was treated as distrust. they told me my treatments were up to me; they'd do what i wanted. but i'm not the expert i don't know why they were looking to me for direction. they filed my teeth to look straight instead of straightening them. and left my front tooth not fully rotated because they absolutely refused to reposition "repo" the bracket. my 20-month plan turned into well over over 2.5 years without any noticeable changes or improvements between visits. my retainers were made to fit very poorly. all in all, i'd give them a D- i don't think i got what i paid for. and i've never received any follow-up calls from them. they just don't care.

Dr. Hood is awesome! Always taking care of my smile. I had a retainer break twice, he not only replaced them but he did extra work on my teeth and put in a permanent retainer. He is awesome! I would totally recommend.

Dr. Hood & his team are AWESOME! The office has such a great vibe & everyone works flawlessly with one-another. I have a funky jaw issue that's been a pain to deal with. Dr. Hood has kept a positive outlook & been honest about my options. He's had lunch with my dentist to get his thoughts on how to approach my treatment & he's referred me to an oral surgeon for more treatment ideas.

It would have been easy for him to slap braces on me, hoping that it would fix the issue, but that's not the kind of person Dr. Hood is.he genuinely cares about his patients. It's refreshing.

This dentist knows his business to put it straight to the point! My grandson was scared as can be listening to his friends at school and really didn't want braces. Dr. Hood and his excellent staff ensured his treatment and confidence with care, understanding and a wonderful humour along the way! Love Dr. Hood! He is so personable and friendly at every visit. All the girls in the office are great too! This seems like it would be a great office to work at. I got braces from Dr. Hood years ago, probably 1997, and my teeth still look great. Over ten years later, my husband had Dr. Hood fix his teeth too and it was also a wonderful experience. We love Dr. Hood and the all the girls in the office!

I love Dr. Hood! He's the best orthodontist in Northern Cali! Or anywhere else for that matter. I've had braces in the past but didn't wear my retainer so I'm doing it again as an adult with invisaline! He is very personable, outgoing and makes you feel like family! He is also very reasonable and really does his best to work with you.

When you walk into his office. it feels as if you're walking into a really classy high end office and are treated the same but best of all. you aren't paying extra for it. They have water and coffee for you as you wait and even if the appointment is for yourself. bring your kids! They have a game area for the kids to play video games! They also have a nice waiting area and jewelry for us women to look at while we wait but I must tell you. they don't keep you waiting long. Typically I'm called back before I even sit down.
