Dr Michael Tai received his doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University in New York City in May of 2001. He further trained as a general practice resident (GPR) at the Veteran's Affair Northern California in Sacramento where he refined his skills in complex extractions, implant placements, diffcult molar root canals and dental prosthesis.During his first few years out of residency Dr. Tai he practiced as an associate dentist with the not-for-profit Health Trust Children's Mobile Dental Unit where he worked with disadvantaged children eventually being promoted to the Dental Clinic Director.

. I am perpetual dentist hopper--changing dentists every time I move or change insurance plans--and I have seen many types of dental practices. We just moved to Gilroy and I was lucky enough to find Valley Oak Dental. The office is clean, modern and state-of the art. The dental assistants personable and skilled and Dr. Tai is a smart, young professional dentist who still cares about his patients.
And best of all, there was no guilt and high pressure tactics for additional services--which I have found is the case at most dental offices. and which makes me not go back. I will be back to Valley Oak Dental and just scheduled an appointment for my 3 year old daughter. Thank you.
