Horribly incompetent office staff! Just thieves! Can't make an appointment early than a month out, took 110$ copay before work even done, now refuses to return it or give me the x-rays that are already paid in full!

I was in need of emergency dental work and they got me in same day as a new patient. The doctor and hygienists have all been very kind and did their very best to make the experience comfortable. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone.

Moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota a year ago and found Black Hills Area Dental and never in my life have I been so happy about the work the entire office provides. The attention to details is amazing along with the special care they give you to make sure you know you are in good hands. Everything is done with quality and focus. I lived all across our great country and this is by far the very best dental office. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Dr. Samuelson!

I tried a few dentists in Rapid City before giving up and not seeing a dentist for I'm ashamed to say how many years. When it was time to see someone co-workers encouraged me to see the team at Black Hills Area Dental and I'm so glad I did. For years I have been unhappy with my smile, needing some cosmetic work done I was afraid I would be told I needed so much more than I wanted like I had in the past, but the whole team made me feel comfortable.

I was never pushed to do more work than I wanted or made to feel uncomfortable in anyway. Being a patient at Black Hills Area Dental you know they truly have your best interest at heart. From a simple cleaning to some of the more major work I have had done I was have always felt comfortable with ever step of the process. In the last year I have gone from being afraid to smile in picture's to showing off my smile every chance I get.

I cannot express how happy I am with my new smile and all the work Dr. Samuelson and his team did to make it happen. I look forward to me and my family to being patients for years to come.

I can't tell you how caring this office is.from routine cleanings to emergency care they always make me feel like my comfort is they're top priority. I also believe I'm a challenging patient for them at times too, from not taking good care of my teeth all these years to waiting until last minute for emergency visits to fix a painful tooth, they always make me feel welcome and treat me with respect. Dr. Samuelson's the best.

If you are reading this review you are likely doing what I did before choosing Black Hills Area Dental. Honestly, I would stop looking for the best dentist because you found it right here. Dr. Samuelson, Bart, is tops in my book. The short of it is he saved my tooth, did a root canal, made a crown and cemented it in all in three visits. His concern for your comfort, pain and your teeth is chapter one in my book. To be a premier dentist you need great staff, they always make the dentist look good, and they are the best.

Dr. Samuelson is unbelievably talented. I subjected my teeth to a 12-pack of soda a day for at least a couple of decades. He saved most of my teeth (I thought for certain, I'd be in dentures) and now I'm a proud new owner of a bright new smile. During covid, I figured what's the point of getting my teeth done if I'm just going to cover them up with a mask; however, pain is a great motivator and it came with a great epiphany: Smiling during a pandemic is a must, even if the only person that sees it, is looking in the mirror. I love this dental office. I have been going here for several years and I always have a great experience. Dr. Samuelson does exceptional work and takes pride in that. When I walk in the door the front desk girls always know my name and greet me like a friend. They are all very kind people. I would recommend this office to anyone.
