Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation and complete evaluation explaining your diagnosis and the treatment options. This initial consultation affords you an opportunity to discuss all aspects of your care with the doctor and make all necessary arrangements in advance of your surgery.

My daughter and I have both seen Dr. Carter on multiple occasions, for a variety of issues. He is such a good oral surgeon, goes out of his way to make you comfortable and safe. He is funny and smart and so good at his work. His staff is incredible. Such a loving, competent, clean, comfortable office to go have work done that no one wants to have done! They are all so good putting you at ease, and letting you know you're in good hands. We really wouldn't ever go anywhere else.

What can I say? Dr. Carter and team were FABULOUS walking me through my implant surgery and beyond. Everyone in the office is professional and kind. I am so grateful that the process was not at all as bad as I thought AND that they accept my insurance, leaving me with less out of pocket cost than I'd anticipated. This was, unfortunately, my second tooth extraction with Dr. Carter. But, his expertise has made the 2 experiences drama-free. Two years ago, I had 3 wisdom teeth extracted, at the age of 50. He explained that this is not at all an ideal age, and I agreed. I got the full anesthesia, I guess called "general", as well as the technique of using my own spun blood plasma to coagulate and plug the wounds.
Besides some minimal post-op swelling and pain, it was a walk in the park. I literally ate a slice of pizza the next day. This time around, I got one molar extracted, and, though I had some sinus pain and swelling, it's been pretty easy. There aren't many choices on Maui, but Dr. Carter is a good one.

Oral surgery is no fun. Having been on the receiving end of many procedures in Hawaii and on the mainland, I can not recommend Maui Oral Surgery enough. My experiences have been fast and nearly painless. The new location in the Lono building is beautiful, the equipment is all brand new and the staff is excellent. What a blessing!

Dr. Carter is extremely talented in his field of work. I put off doing my teeth implants because I was nervous about the sinus lift that needed to be done first. However, once I finally decided to go ahead with it, I ended up kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I had nothing to be concerned about - the sinus lift and bone graft went perfectly, and the teeth implants are totally solid. Maggie was also so supportive and understanding of my fears - she really helped to put me at ease. The whole office staff are friendly and easy to work with.

I was very pleased with Dr. Carter and his entire staff, from the friendly front desk to my nurse assistant Jeannie! My dental implant extraction was done quickly and cleanly with excellent results, thanks to the expertise of Dr. Carter, who listened to my concerns and explained all in detail prior to the procedure. A nice distraction for me was was the beautiful views seen in the office! I highly recommend Maui Oral Surgery!

Couldn't recommend a better oral surgeon than Dr. Carter. As daunting as having a tooth implant procedure is, the experience he and his staff provided me can only be described as nothing less than perfect. My niece had really scary facial swelling and Dr. Carter got us in right away, and performed procedure the following day. I am a dental hygienist but a wimpy dental patient. My thoughts: Clean, modern, beautiful office. Friendly and helpful team. Dr. Carter thoroughly explained the procedure to me prior to treatment and my questions were not hurried along. I was seen in a timely manner and the actual procedure went fairly quickly as predicted. Although having to have a tooth extracted was not fun, Dr. Carter and Harley made every effort to calm my nerves and treat me gently. I highly recommend them for any oral surgery needs you may have and i will return if I have as well.

Very professional office staff, dental assistants and of course Dr. Carter. After the referral from my dentist, Dr. Carter installed two implants relatively pain free! Seriously - Pain Free. They took the time to answer all my questions which really lowered my anxiety prior to the procedure. I also received a wellness post-op call from the Dr. Highly recommended for your oral surgery.
