Life With Braces

Your braces will be attached quickly and easily to your teeth. You may find it easier to eat soft foods for the first few days while you are becoming accustomed to eating with your new braces. The braces may feel a little awkward at first and the teeth may be tender or sensitive to pressure. This is completely normal and will go away soon. It may feel as though the braces are "sticking out, " but this sensation will also soon pass.

I am thoroughly impressed with Dr Carter's staff and skill. We had a consultation for my 8 year old and the staff were interactive with him as if he were family coming to visit for dinner! My son was comfortable and all smiles the entire consultation. While there, I asked if he could improve my flattened, old looking teeth. Although not a normal patient there, he told me that he can help and created these natural "incursions" which make me feel and look younger! Thank you so very much to Dr Carter and his wonderful staff!

Dr. Carter and his staff are all amazing! I cannot say enough about the service and professionalism they bring to the relationship. My older son did not get the benefit of using Dr. Carter. Night and day difference in the level of knowledge, commitment and service my kids received at the different orthodontists. I will refer anyone to Dr. Carter. I had some pretty bad teeth and was told I'd have them in for 2 years. Dr Carer is the best he set the requirements and what I needed to do and he would get on the phone with me if I had an issue (which was very few and far between) and I got them off at a year and a half. He made it feel like I was coming to family, I highly recommend him and his staff. Julie, Sarah, and Katie. are all amazing I'd give them 10 stars each if I could. Thank you Dr Carter I can smile bigger because of you.

Having been to several dentist and orthodontist in my life, I can honestly say that Dr Carter is the very best. He really does care about his patients, and he makes sure to show it. All 4 of my kids have absolutely loved him. His staff is wonderful and friendly. They do their best to accommodate your schedule, and make your life easy. We have been more than pleased with our results, and would recommend him to anyone for any reason!

Dr. Carter is an amazing orthodontist! I've been "visiting" the staff since I was a little girl! My dad got his braces when I was 4 and then my brother got his when I was 6 and Dr. Carter started to "check my teeth out" when I was 7! I got my braces on at 10 years old and I got them off at 13! I'm now 17 and I got my retainer fixed today, Dr. Carter makes sure that your teeth stay straight!
The whole staff is so amazing and sweet! ESPECIALLY Julie, she is the first person to greet you when you walk in and she is THE SWEETEST person ever! She always talks to me about how much I've grown and how little I was when she first met me! She is just overall THE BEST.

Wonderful to work with! The office staff is friendly and always cheerful. Dr. Carter did a fantastic job with my daughter's teeth. He was very patient and explained everything three times. Once to my daughter, once to me and and once to my wife when she called to find out what we had tried to explain after our appointments. I have other children that will need braces and plan on taking each of them back to this location.

I had braces as a young adult and chose Dr. Carter to be my orthodontist. I inherited 3 daughters and each of them has also had all their orthodontic care with Dr. Carter. We have since returned for things such as lost retainers-when we walk in the door we are greeted by name no matter how long it has been since our last visit and it has been literally years.
They truly know and care about their patients and do amazing work. I also appreciate that they are quick with their appointments-you get in and out when they say you will so you can maintain your life schedule.
