I have had the pleasure of working at Dyersburg Pediatric Dentistry since 2000. I am a registered dental assistant and currently hold the position as Scheduler. I am usually the voice you will hear on the phone when calling to schedule an appointment for your child. It is my job to insure a convenient appointment time for your busy schedule as well as instill the importance of keeping the assigned time held for your child. It is a pleasure to see healthy smiles anxious for their return visit with our doctors.
With the advances in computer aided dentistry, we now provide our patients the latest diagnostic imaging, also known as Digital Radiography (x-rays). Instead of biting down on dental film, a digital x-ray uses a wireless sensor. Where it used to take 4-6 minutes to process a regular dental x-ray, it now takes less than 30 seconds to produce the image.
Your child should visit the dentist by his/her 1st birthday. You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. Your child should be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and his staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions. The less to-do concerning the visit, the better.
For more information on oral health care needs, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two years of specialized training and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. The very young, pre-teens, and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems. The pediatric dentist is best qualified to meet these needs.

Its an ok place if your kids only need cleanings, that is, if you dont mind the people walking around spreading germs with your child's wide open mouth laying around. NO ONE at the front desk wears a mask, yet they wont let parents in the back after a certain age. Defeats the purpose. Yes, vaccinated people can still spread covid. If your kid goes in for a cleaning and they find ANYTHING that needs to be fixed, you will have to schedule a different appointment so they can charge your insurance a different visit.
No cleanings, fillings or pulling of teeth with abscesses will be done on the same day. The only thing, in my opinion, that certifies them as pediatric, is the waiting room and the fact that the kids wear sunglasses when being cleaned, which I can only assume is still accurate, and if it is, I pray they are cleaning their shades between patients.

Awesome dentist for any and all children! Both of my children loves them. I have a 23 year old and a 14 year old and my 23 year old hated when she had to "grow-up" and start seeing an adult dentist. Lol. They are quick but also thorough. They are kind and always inform the parent of any thing that they do or are going to do. They interact with children so well, that even the most afraid child, will be at ease! Their office staff is so kind d and courteous as well! That is just a few reasons you should bring your child to see the folks at Dyersburg Pediatric Dentistry! We them !

My daughter is terrified of any kind of doctor in general. She's had some bad experiences. I love the dentists, the girls and the receptionists. I love that the atmosphere is child friendly. The animation in the waiting room is very relaxing to the children. They do stay busy but if ever there's an emergency they get her in ASAP. They are really great with working with her to ease her fears. That means the world to me.

My kids LOVE the dentist. The entire staff make you and your child feel comfortable and relaxed. The waiting room is like a play room for the kids. They have everything from video games to air hockey to train tables in the waiting room. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I'm so glad my kids love going to the dentist. Wish I could give it 10 stars.
