Georgian Sona

Needed a cleaning. They took me in a couple days later. I was super nervous because I'm not a fan of the dentist the lady who did my cleaning was super nice and made me very comfortable, receptionist is super sweet. Great experience will be coming back soon!

Dr. Georgian provides great dental care, and the hygienist is excellent as well.

Dr. Georgian is terrific and thorough, as are the hygienists. But the show stopper is Tawny at the front desk. AMAZING PERSON!

The best dentist office I've ever been to! Everyone from receptionist to dentist is professional, polite and hard working. I've never gotten more thorough cleanings than I've gotten at Sona Georgian DDS. I truly feel like they have my oral health as #1 priority - I'm not just another client to be churned through the doors.

Dr G is the first dentist I've had that I don't dread seeing. I absolutely hate going to the dentist, always have, but Dr G is so pleasant and caring - she puts me at ease. I wish they had on line appointment scheduling - maybe soon?

The doctor, hygienist, assistants and receptionist were all amazing! Very welcoming and professional. Answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable. Today was my very first appointment with Dr. Georgian and I am completely happy with her work. An old filling of mine had fallen out so I went to Dr. Georgian to see if it could be fixed. When I called to make an appointment, the front desk staff was so kind and courteous. They made sure I came in as soon as possible. When I arrived, I was very nervous because I have a deep fear of needles, but Dr. Georgian put me totally at ease.

She explained everything she was doing and was very diligent about making sure I was calm and pain free. She has the best bedside manner and I've never had such an easy, painless, and efficient appointment before. I 100% endorse Dr. Georgian and her staff!

WARNING! Do not see this dentist! Very shady practice. She is only after your money! After one cleaning, she proscribed $3000 work. So I made an appointment to have the work done. Then when I simply asked if she could Email me a treatment breakdown, the receptionist, Tawny, informed me they were canceling and would no longer see me. Really? SCAM!

Dr. Georgian is a very professional and personable dentist. She did an excellent cleaning and inspection of my teeth. Several years ago she did a super job of using crowns to make my smile and bite look great!

I went to Dr. Georgian after having multiple bad experiences with another local dentist. Dr. Georgian and her staff are amazing! They are so kind and she does wonderful work, very gentle! I've developed so much anxiety due to last bad experiences and now I'm finally moving past that anxiety thanks to her. Highly recommend Dr. Georgian!

The shoddy work this "dentist" does doesn't even last a few months. BUYER BEWARE! This dentist office, while clean and friendly has some very unsavory business practices of telling you one price and then charging an obscene amount after you have had the procedure done. I went in for an extraction and I was told it would cost $60 with my copay.

After the tooth was removed and I'm at the counter paying with a mouthful of blood and gauze, I'm told it is going to cost over $600! They said "oh, we told you it would cost that." which is a blatant lie as I never would have had them do it. Then when I complained to them they wrote a letter and told our insurance we would be better off going somewhere else.

Funny enough, they think they "fired" us as clients but I fired them and recommend anyone that is considering going to them to seriously reconsider and go somewhere else. They add on too many untold charges and do procedures without telling you that it is going to cost 10x the amount you were quoted! Do your research and go somewhere

Dr. Georgian is the sweetest most gentle, kind, and patient Dr. I have ever experienced. The office is always clean, treatment is always on time, and the staff is accommodating and consistent. I urge those looking for a dentist to give this office a try because itS an office that you will be comfortable in every time.

I never actually made it in to see Dr. Georgian because whoever answered the phone was quite possibly the rudest woman I've ever spoken with in my life. The attitude of your business is defined for a new patient with that first phone call, and in this case it was definitely a snotty attitude that I can't imagine anyone would want to deal with. Going to the dentist is already an unpleasant experience, I don't need making the darn appointment to be one, too.

We have been seeing Dr. Georgian for the last few years. She is incredibly gentle and insightful. She is good at anticipating what might happen to teeth that a previous dentist messed up and taking preventive action before I lose another tooth! I went to a lot, like 10 dentist after the bad experience I had with a fancy Beverly Hills TV show outfit and felt very lucky to finally find such a hands on, take her time, really care about what she is doing dentist! Thank you God and thank you Dr. Georgian and her husband who is also in the practice.

First visit as a new patient. Called on a Thursday and they had an appointment available next day for exam, X-rays, and cleaning. Receptionist does double duty internally on office procedures and front desk so there may be a wait on the phone and when you arrive but I'm glad I didn't get discouraged and hang up. The appt was set for 10:45 but they asked me to come at 10:30 to fill out paperwork.

I ended up being called in at 11:15 but again I'm glad I waited since the hygienist and Dr. were very nice and gentle. I was very happy that I found this dentist and will recommend her to others.

I'm giving this practice a low star rating for insurance and billing. Love the staff and service but if they believe they don't want to accept your insurance any longer, they will not inform you until your next appointment and then say, "I'm sorry, we no longer take your insurance, even though we had to submit paper work to make it official 3 months ago". Had I known this, I would have chosen another plan when I could have during open enrollment last year. Had they thought this through, they could have kept me and I'm sure others as long time patients instead if a disgruntled family. Be prepared for that denial.

Dr. Georgian is probably the best dentist I have been to in my 52 years. She is a fantastic diagnostician and is precise and excellent in her craft. I came to her after two other dentists tried to correct a problem and were unable to do so. She identified the problem and provided the remedy that was pain free and has remained so. She has a very sweet demeanor and her professional support crew are very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Sona Georgian.

Sona Georgian, DDS is hands down in my opinion, one of the most skilled, attentive and amazing Dentist's in Ventura County by a long shot. My wife and three children are regulars at her office and I have referred many friends, co-workers and associates to her and continue to do so. Not one of there referee's have ever been dissatisfied. Several years ago my son knocked a tooth out while skateboarding and it happened to be on a weekend, we called several local Dentist's in the area, (including the one we were currently seeing) and the ONLY person who called us back was Dr. Georgian; she met us down in her office within an hour or so and the rest is history.

Her practice has a unique service also where she can facilitate the making of crowns or veneers in her office therefore speeding up the waiting process you normally always find with Dentist's who cannot provide such a service. Not to mention the quality of the finished product is amazing, I personally have experienced that first hand. The level of service that she and her staff provide is exceptional to say the least and I have NEVER felt anything else than pure quality, 'caring customer service'. I seriously would feel 120% confident in recommending her to anyone looking to leave their current Dentist or who are simply looking for a new one.

This office is clean, neat and everyone from the front service to the dentists are nice, polite and very respectful. Unfortunately, in regards to the actual service, this is why I am giving them 1 star. I recently received my HMO insurance which lists out what the insurance will pay for in very clear and concise language. However, at this dentist, even though my examination and x-rays should have been free, I was told to pay additional money for a gum examination.

I only realized that this was an additional charge well after the visit, and felt very cheated and disapointed that I was being taken advantage of. At no point was I told it would cost additional money, and not even given the option to have it or not. It was just forced upon me, and I only realized that I shouldn't have been subjected to that until much later.

I expect this type of behavior from a shady mechanic, who insists that he needs to charge you an exorbitant amount for a simple mechanical fix. I don't expect this from licensed health officials. I understand you want to make money, but at the cost of tricking clients and neglecting to mention fees is very underhanded and morally wrong.
