Services
Welcome to Owens Orthodontics, the office of Shannon E. Owens, DDS, MS and S. Ed Owens, Jr., DDS, MSD serving Northwest Wyoming and Eastern Idaho since 1977. Our main office is conveniently located in Jackson, Wyoming. We also have satellite clinics in Driggs, Idaho and Pinedale, Wyoming. Our top priority is to provide you the highest quality orthodontic care in a friendly, comfortable environment.
We look forward to meeting you on your complimentary first visit to our office. During this time, we will review your medical and dental history and inquire about your specific orthodontic and dental concerns. A thorough examination will then be performed which will allow us to determine whether orthodontic treatment is indicated to address those concerns.
Call our office as soon as possible if you break or loosen any of your appliances. Please do not come directly to the office - by calling us, you will allow us to create a time to see you. Even if you have a regular appointment scheduled, call us immediately to notify us if you need an appliance repaired.
With braces or other orthodontic treatments in place, it is important to maintain a good oral hygiene regimen throughout the length of your treatment, just as it was before. Braces, wires, bands and retainers can all trap food particles and make it difficult to brush or floss away plaque. Peroxyl, a hydrogen peroxide antiseptic mouth rinse, will reduce inflammation to your gums and cheeks.

I don't actually remember Dr Owens, since I got my braces off when I was 15. but 9 years later I still absolutely love my smile. I wasn't an easy fix and now working in an Orthodontist office, I truly appreciate how well my teeth alignment is and how well my teeth have stayed in place all these years, eventhough they've moved a little on my lower arch (which yes it's been a long time but still).
The one thing I don't agree with now knowing better, is that after my braces came off, I never heard from them again regarding Retainer adjustments, ever. With that being said, I still absolutely believe my life was completely changed after I got my beautiful smile! Thank you to the doctor(s) and assistants who made it possible for me and for also impacting me enough to work in the same field now.

Dr Owens is a good orthodontist but it's his attitude I wish was better. Rarely does he greet my kids when they have appts, which can be intimidating. Quote from my son-"I don't think Dr Owens likes his job very much." He quickly checks out their teeth without even a hello. His staff is great, just wish Dr Owens was as happy and friendly as they are. He needs to take his happy pills and say hi to all of his patients by name. A little kindness goes a long way!
