Our dental practice has competitive prices, a welcoming environment, and an experienced staff. We take dental care seriously and we know that it's tough to find a high-end dentist who is reasonably priced. Maybe even more-so when you are looking into another country where there are many options to choose from. All in all, it is still a very important decision you will have to make if you're deciding to choose Nogales, Mexico for dental work. Decisions this big shouldn't have to be made without proper knowledge so we strive to represent ourselves as best as as we can here on our website.

I received a recommendation from a friend who is not a patient but who knows others who have attended Dental Laser. I felt comfortable with the covid precautions and was impressed with staff competency and the friendly and professional environment. Some recommendations were made that I will follow up with in fall when I return to this area. Cost of visit was amazing and I look forward to making Dental Laser my regular dental clinic.

Made appointments for cleaning and fitting for a mouth guard to stop my teeth grinding when sleeping. After the cleaning, they told us we would need to make a new appointment for the mouth guard as they were very busy. It is not a long drive from Tucson, but we are not making another trip because they cannot schedule properly. The only reason they did not get one star is the previous visit was good. We feel going to Nogales for dental work is a good deal, but we will be trying a different dentist.

I'm so glad my cousin told us about Dental Laser. My wife had an appointment today for implants and they took care of us, took a lot of pictures and told us what was needed, which we agreed because we knew about it before going in. Usually the first time going in is for an examination, but we told them that we needed something done for an upcoming wedding and they were able to fit us in for that.
It was super busy and we didn't mind the wait. The staff there were very professional and amazing. When all said was done, she was super happy with it and the cost was much cheaper than when she did the same procedure back in the States. States cost: $1,300 Dental laser: $210

I don't recommend it for the following reasons: A) Recent issues: 1. The prices are high comparing to another place (with good feedback from customers) that I called today. 2. The dentist had an extremely unpleasant attitude. I didn't feel comfortable asking her anything. 3. They do excessive ex-rays and do NOT have a radiation protector for the neck. (I lost count of how many were done). 4.
I asked for a thyroid shield protector during ex-rays (it should be placed on the neck area) but they didn't have it and the reaction of the staff made me feel very uncomfortable. I included the citation about it: "The European Commission for Guidelines on Radiation Protection concluded that providing thyroid shielding to patients significantly reduces radiation doses concluding that this type of patient protection is strongly recommended any time the thyroid is in the line of, or very close to, the primary beam". B) Previous issues: 1.
A while ago during extraction, my other tooth was chipped a little. 2. I complained about it and was extremely unsatisfied with the response. I thought that maybe it happened because it was a complicated case (the dentist who was pulling the tooth out called a second doctor to help her out) and with hesitation, I made an appointment again. But going back to dental Laser was a mistake. C.
The last drop to never deal with Dental Laser again: They don't make any efforts to help if something goes unexpectedly. In about a 1.5-hour drive from my house, I stack in the work road and then was not able to find where to park. I ended up in the line in McDonald's to pay for the parking spot next to Mcdonalds. I was super stressed out about being about 20 min. late. Dental Laser said that I have to reschedule (despite about 3 hours' drive (to them and back), gas cost and paying' $10 for the parking.

A few weeks ago I went in to get a crown. I had a full blown anxiety reaction suspected to have been caused by the anesthetic. Suspected because I have had it once before. Dr decided to reschedule the intervention. I was charged $35 for a "consultation", I am still puzzled as why that wasn't covered in the crown placement as it has been in the past. Today, after intensifying pain waking me up and unable to wait longer for my regular dentist to be back I got an appointment with a dentist available.
Apparently my crown was too high & had to be readjusted. At first I was asked $60 then $35 for adjusting the tooth, and told if i had had done by my regular dentist it would have been free. The pain was so intense I had to take round the clock pain medication, I couldn't see waiting another week for an appointment. These $35 charges are unfair, the clinic owners should accept that it is really poor customer service.

I have been going to Dental Laser for 4 years without any major concerns and just recently had 4 costly dental implants all done within the last year. One of the crowns broke shortly after placement and, instead of being replaced with a new crown, it was "fixed" poorly. The edges were scratchy and the top of the crown was drilled completely flat. It didn't even look like a tooth.
I made an appointment with the dentist in charge of implants who agreed that the crown was not done well and is now fabricating a new crown that will hopefully be better. This fiasco entailed 3 extra trips to Nogales. I would like to be contacted by the owner to discuss this situation. Unfortunately, it seems that the only way to have your concerns addressed is to leave a less than stellar review. Thank you.

Although right across the Border here are some things about Dental Laser that should be taken into account. First of all I have gone there for the last 5 years. I go about 3 times a year due to Periodontal Disease Cleaning. At first it was $35.00 and the time it took was about only 20 min. Real Quick and last 2 times was 45 min late before they seen me.
The last time I went back in June of 2021 again it was 35 min late and they charged me $80.00. When asked about the enormous increase they blamed it on Covid and the extra costs they have encountered. Would have been nice to know this ahead of time. The last thing is that it is crowded inside. I will still go to Nogales but not with them anymore.

It was an amazing price to get 2 fillings, I don't remember but I think around $60, def no more than $90. (This was almost a year ago). They were clean and friendly and professional and for all those reasons I give one star. The reason I did not give more stars (read til the end to see the main reason) is because I got two fillings, one bad one on my left side and then one very small one that was more cosmetic that bothered me on the right side.
They did their thing and I left with my mouth completely numb, it took me about a day (after I already posted a fantastic YouTube review) to realize that they didn't even do the right side. Maybe they did a different tooth, but they definitely didn't do the correct tooth. : ( I didn't call to complain because going there was more of a hassle, you walk right over to the dental office from the us to the Mexico border and that part wasn't bad.
What was bad was having to stand outside in the hot sun for two hours waiting to come back to the us. They also ask a ton of questions at the border about your visit, and request to see an appointment card for proof of your visit, so make sure you have those handy. It was peak COVID so maybe that's why it took so long, I'm not sure. I had also gone out of town for a couple months and eventually just got over it. But- here is the MAIN reason why I give one star: they accidentally scraped the side of a back top tooth causing a painful abrasion and now it hurts and I feel it every day. It was painful getting those fillings and they caused a whole new one so I'm scared to go back. Just be careful, that's all. : (

Over $20,000 for full upper teeth restoration gone HORRIBLY WRONGY! THERE"S NO REDRESS, PEOPLE - you're doing important health maintenance business in a foreign country with NO ability to recoup anything if they mess up.and they messed up BIG TIME with my teeth! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.Beware of risking your dental health to Dental Laser in Nogales, MX.
At first glance, they "look" high-tech and sophisticated, but it's a RUSE and a LURE to get Americans divested of their hard-earned money. And, they're VERY clever about HOW they go about it. I signed up for a total remake of my upper teeth which took over two years, over $20,000, a LOT of time.and a LOT of PAIN (from which I am STILL suffering because Drs. Tachiquin and Valdez BOTH performed incompetent, unprofessional workmanship - way beneath the standard of care in the US) under the auspices of holding themselves out as "professionals." The implant that Dr. Valdez performed began wiggling about 6 months after it was placed - NOT supposed to happen with implants (I've had several very successful implants in the States and have never had one wiggle or move).
Because I have noticed the most offensive smell coming from my own mouth, I sought a consultation today (1/27/2021) only to be told after x-rays that I have tissue necrosis and severe bone loss under the implant which, if not addressed soon, will result in disfiguration of my entire facial structure! We're not talking JUST straightforward dentistry NOW.the inferior work completed at Dental Laser has devolved into a restorative endodontic AND plastic surgery situation to reverse! I' now living a perpetual NIGHTMARE!
If there was a ZERO or negative rating on Yelp, that would be more accurate of this entity and its providers. Only a FOOL would get work underway at this provider. Don't say you weren't warned!

I spend most of my life avoiding the dentist (like many others), but this was, hands down, the best experience I've ever had. I spent Christmas with family in Tucson and a friend recommended getting work done here and I am so happy I did. From the moment I walked in, everything was smoother than I could have ever expected (especially with the list of things I needed done- implant, root canal, wisdom teeth extraction) because they are so professional and everything is done in house instead of having to run around to several offices like i've been used to in the past. Don't get me started on how happy I am with affordability. Laura at the front desk was super helpful and kind with scheduling and making sure everything was in order each visit. Dr. Angelica and her assistant, Alejandra, were the best i've ever dealt with in dental care. Comfort, communication, humor and professionalism all the way. I'm so grateful they were able to get so much done within a couple of weeks time and it was worth every mile to get there. I'll be back in a few months for a checkup. Appreciate all the hard work and happy new year, Dental Laser!

My husband and I recently retired to southern Arizona and were looking for a dentist for routine cleaning, etc. This clinic was referred to us by our real estate agent. I went for a routine cleaning, while my husband needed an extraction. My biggest complaint was the language factor. Neither the dentist or her assistant could explain anything to me in English, but I knew they wanted me to get extensive work of some sort, including replacing my old fillings.
In addition, I have never had a cleaning where only a high powered scraper was used, at times causing me some discomfort. My husband also complained that they wouldn't listen to him, but wanted to perform al sorts of other procedures. We will be looking for alternatives to this factory-like outfit.

I've been going to Dental Laser for 5+ yrs and except for one particular dentist who hurt me & scolded me during a teeth cleaning, the quality & prices are excellent. I paid $1850.00 for an implant after being quoted $4000.00 w/a discount dental plan in Az. I also had 8 veneers put in by Dr Quiroga in only one hour & he did superior work. Every 6 months I go in for a checkup & a cleaning for only $35 U.S.

I've been a Dental Laser patient for the last two years, I think. I don't like going to the dentist, but who does? However, when I do have an appt here I'm not so nervous my blood pressure shoots up 30 pts. Dr. Sanchez is my dentist, he's gentle and has a calming tone. His assistant is great, she explains everything in terms I can understand, and she is ALWAYS pleasant and polite.
She and Dr. Sanchez work very well, they make a great team! When I'm asked about dental services in Mexico, I always refer them to Dental Laser. Highly recommend, without reservations.

Well, the crown turned into a bridge, and here is where the story takes a turn. A scan was made of my mouth and this was used to make the bridge. The only problem is, the scan was done with my partial plate removed so I got a call telling me I need to come back for another scan. There were several issues with getting the bridge made and to make a long story short, i drove 180 miles roundtrip, FIVE TIMES to get this bridge installed and had to settle for the old style lab made bridge in order to meet our Arizona departure date.
The bridge works but is still not right. It is sensitive and has a gap at the gum line on the rear molar. I will return in December to try and get this fixed but I will NOT be using Dr Otero. What kind of dentist forgets that the patient has a partial? UPDATE! So, I returned in December for a cleaning and to find out why I was having pain from the bridge.
It turns out there was bone exposed at the back of the rear molar anchor tooth. The dentist said the gum had receded but the pain was there as soon as the numbing wore off and it got a little better over time. I think the bridge was not made to fit properly from the beginning resulting in the exposed bone and pain. A receding gum would get worse, not better.
At any rate, the dentist packed some kind of resin in the hole to close it off and the majority of the pain subsided, but he said the "filling" may fall out and if it does, more extensive work would be required to make a more permanent fix. I think I'm done with Laser Dental working in my mouth.

My husband had 2 root canals, 2 posts, 2 cavities and 3 crowns done at Laser Dental. He is extremely happy with the care he received and the quality of work. Dr Sanchez did an excellent job. His assistant spoke perfect English and helped translate the more technical terms. An estimate was given prior to any work being done. The estimate was $2500.
The total end price came to $2090. In the US, the estimate was $8500-9000. The equipment was all modern. Sterile techniques were followed. The practice is very busy, but still punctual. Only once did my husband have to wait and it was only 15 minutes. Everyone was friendly. We will both use Dental Laser for all our future dental care.

My wife and I have been going here (from Tucson) for nearly two years. Excellent service, in everything from routine cleaning to a full implant. Everyone is polite, everyone speaks English, the place is immaculately clean, the technology is up to date, and the prices are a third of what we paid in the USA. My only warning has nothing to do with Dental Laser, but with US immigration.
Please get your Global Entry card before walking across the border. with it, you can literally walk past the (huge) line and be back on US soil three minutes after leaving the dentist office. Without it, you might have to wait hours.

This is a lot of first for me. It's my first time visiting Mexico, first time going to a different dentist in more than a decade, and my first time considering implants instead of a bridge which I currently have but needed to be replaced. So to say that I'm apprehensive and nervous would be an understatement. Upon arriving at the dental clinic, you quickly realize that most of their clients are coming from the U.S.
They are mostly older adults and more importantly, that they are repeat customers. Their customers consist of husbands and wives, grandparents, children and friends. This made me feel more at ease with my decision to come. I also have to mention that Dental Lazer was referred to me by a coworker who, along with her husband has been going there for a number of years and have been very happy with the dental procedures they've received.
My appointment began at 11am and I was there until about 6:30pm. During that time I had x-ray and pictures taken of my teeth, consultation with three different dentists/doctors, and surgery for 2 implants. The service was efficient and the time I waited between consultations are reasonable and understandable. Everyone I interacted with were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
One thing to remember is that if you're having some major procedure done, such as an implant, you are probably going to need to come back for a follow up visit, so plan for at least a two day visit. Now I'm waiting for my implants to heal and for my bones to take root. I've had very minimal swelling, and no pain. I did opt to have a temporary dentures until the permanent is put in.
The healing process will take approximately 3 months in my case. I am looking forward to the end result and if this past experience is any indication, I am confident that I will be happy with my decision. I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect and help put some of your concerns at ease.

WOW. I was nervous about parking and crossing the border but it was a breeze $4.00 all day parking across from the Burger King a 3 minute walk across the border and 30 seconds across the street to laser Dental it's great it's the only Blu building. The waiting room is comfortable and the staff is great. The doctors were really nice and professional. About $400 each for a crown and root canal good deal. Pleasantly surprised my root canal was painless and every one was really nice and professional.

Writing this review 3 weeks post root canal and crown visit for my aunt. Scheduling was simple- do let the phone ring- sometimes takes a bit for them to answer, but they eventually do. They take some U.S. insurances, and your first cleaning and X-rays are free. Getting to office was a breeze. We parked in one of the $5 all day lots on U.S. side and walked over- dental laser is literally 2 minutes walking distance from the gate once you cross. Thoroughly impressed by the aesthetic and cleanliness of office-all medical equipment was state of the art. Granite and cherry oak decor also made it the poshest dental office I've ever seen.
Coffee and water were provided in lobby. My aunt had her root canal and crown done all in one day- on a Saturday. She had a different expert working on her tooth every step of the way-she described it sort of as an assembly line of people working on her- once she was done in one place she was whisked off to another. She felt everyone was very kind and helpful.
Her main Doctor was Dr. Sanchez. For the initial consultation segment of her appointment Dr. Sanchez answered all of her questions and provided a detailed invoice of what the costs would be. Definitely not something we're used to in the U.S. At the end of the visit she paid with her Visa card- it charges in Pesos but they convert it for you and that conversion showed up on her CC statement.
She paid less than half what her dentist quoted her in the U.S. And her crown is guaranteed 100% for 2 years and 50% for 5 years if she returns for cleanings with them annually. Total cost including crown was $796. Only complaint was the lack of care instructions and "what to expect" instructions when everything was done. Make sure to ask if your doctor doesn't give you any after care advice.
My aunt had to call later to make sure her mouth was healing correctly. After appointment she walked two minutes to pharmacy recommended by doctor and purchased her prescribed pain medicine. Walking back across border took us almost an hour- we were told by regulars near us in line that it is very unusual to have that long of a line- but we think it was because we were there on a holiday weekend. She plans to return for her follow ups- which is saying a lot since she travelled all the way from Montana! I also plan to return for my cleanings.
