I was a patient for a few years without any problems. I went in one day with an infection under a capped tooth. I needed the tooth pulled and he tried to numb me up but it wasn't working due to the infection. After numerous tries to numb it, he started accusing me of lying And basically ridiculing about it not working and said I was just nervous and stalling (I was ready to take it out myself at this point due to the pain I had been in for a day or two).he started getting frustrated and so I just ended up saying it was a little numb (it wasn't) so that we could proceed.

I essentially got the tooth pulled without novocaine. I have had a fear of the dentist since childhood but have never freaked out in the chair or anything like that - you wouldn't know I was anxious unless I told you - but since that day I have only gone to a (new) dentist once due to extreme fear of pain and embarrassment. Any dentist should know that Novocain sometimes doesn't work with an infection. Any doctor should know that ridiculing a patient and accusing them of lying is just wrong. He apparently knows neither of these things.

Dr Strauss is not only a fabulous dentist but he is a real 'mensch.' You can contact him anytime, get answers to your concerns on the phone, get whatever help you need with your dental problems. And when it comes to his dental treatments, he is quick and painless and knows how to solve every problem. And most important when he thinks the job requires skills that he thinks needs to be outsourced, his recommendations are always to equally skilled an caring specialists.

I used to suffer from severe dental anxiety due to bad previous experiences until I met with Dr. Strauss and his team. From the moment I spoke to Rose on the phone I knew I was in good hands. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dr Strauss provides the most up-to-date dental care, including sedation, and always has his patients best interest in mind. I am so blessed to have found Dr. Strauss and highly recommend him.

Dr. Strauss is patient, gentle and does a great job. It is a pleasure to visit him. He also took care of some emergency work and got me a great referral for a same day root canal so I could travel.

Dr. Strauss is very helpful and friendly, and he really cares about his patients. I came to him in October 2016 with a serious TMJ issue causing limited range of motion in my jaw. Dr. Strauss fitted me for a repositioning splint to correct the problem, and it changed my quality of life almost instantly. After successfully completing treatment, I now feel great again thanks to Dr. Strauss! Highly recommend!
