Dr. Schwegman received his B.A. from the University of South Carolina and his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. Following graduation he began his private practice in Medford, NJ where he practiced for over thirty years. He has recently relocated to the Jersey shore to be closer to his two grown children and their families. Now residing in Longport, Dr. Schwegman brings his extensive experience and calm demeanor to our dental family.
Dental bleaching, also known as tooth whitening is a common procedure in general dentistry. According to the FDA, whitening restores natural tooth color and bleaching whitens beyond the natural color. There are many methods available. One option is the use of custom bleaching trays in which we will take a mold of your teeth and make a custom tray for your mouth. We will provide whiten gels to use with the custom trays on a regular basis or as needed.
Our conventional oral screening exam includes looking inside your mouth for any lesions that might be visible to the naked eye and feeling your neck for any suspicious bumps. We can also use a special scope to see beneath the surface to detect potentially dangerous growths we might have otherwise missed.
While our office accepts many insurance plans, most dental insurance covers some but not all of your dental care. Co-payments and deductibles are the responsibility of the patient. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff will work with you and your insurance company to maximize your dental benefits.

I've been using Dr. Michel for a few years now and I think he's the best there is. He's polite, professional and a great dentist. I have never felt any pain while he did my several root canals, fillings, etc. The staff couldn't be any better too. The receptionists and hygienists are awesome. I recommend them to everyone that I can.
