Dr. Blaess grew up in Houston since the age of eight, graduating from Sharpstown High School. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Texas in Austin, receiving her dental degree in 1997 from the University of Texas Health Science Center. In 2003 she partnered with Dr. Stan Zebrowski to open Northwoods Dental Spa, the first dental spa in San Antonio. With constant improvements in equipment, materials, and techniques, Dr. Blaess believes it is vitally important to commit time to keep learning.
We are proud of our office here at Northwoods Dental Spa. Patients are the heart of our practice, so it makes sense that we would go out of the way to provide comfortable waiting and treatment areas complete with the types of amenities you would expect from the premier dental practice in San Antonio.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience! I hadn't been to the dentist in two years, and was nervous. Everyone was so kind and helpful, especially my dental hygienist. She answered all of my questions so patiently and had a lot of knowledge. I learned so much about dental hygiene from her! I was also impressed with the quality of service. My teeth look brand new!
I didn't realize a dental cleaning could be so effective and get rid of all those coffee stains. My dental hygienist was very intentional and thorough in her cleaning, and explained every step of the way what she was doing and why.

I have been going to Northwoods Dental since before they were at their current location. I believe it has been over 20 years now. It is a long drive for me, and there are many dentistry offices much closer, but I keep making that drive. I have continued seeing them because of the level of care I get, the trust I have in them, and simply how great it is to see all of them.

Clean offices. They got me in within a business day since it was sort of urgent. The potential procedures and their costs were described to me and reflected in the pricing sheet before work began. The pricing sheet was easy to understand. They were sensitive to dental anxiety- seemingly limitless source of patience and as gentle as possible.

I used to hate going to the dentist before I found this place. The staff is so friendly and the doctor uses tech that I didn't even know existed! My first time there they "lasered" a cavity, no drilling or shots needed. I now go every 6 months and look forward to going each time! I definitely recommend this place to be your dentist for the whole family.

I don't even know where to begin, but I cannot thank Dr. Baldwin and his team enough for the compassion, thoughtfulness, and help they provided to me. I needed some pretty extensive work done. Dr. Baldwin went above and beyond my expectations, he made me feel SAFE, comfortable, and reassured me with kindness and patience. A huge 'Thank You' goes out to Phanessa, Shannon and Katie along with the rest of the staff.
You all made me feel so at home and are so genuine and compassionate. They're great with kids too! My son loves this dental office, and after some gentle coaxing by the staff, my 5 year old daughter bravely climbed in the chair for her teeth cleaning. The staff made her feel like she was a champ and days later my daughter asked if she could go back! Dr. Baldwin and his team are truly amazing and I would recommend them a thousand times over and more. My family won't go anywhere else.

My dentist Dr. Baldwin and the staff at Northwoods Dental are all amazing. Everyone is friendly when you walk in there and welcoming, every hygienist and assistant has been kind and caring. Both my son and I go here and I can't recommend them enough. They are also fair and honest and work with you to give you options, not pushing things you don't need. Also answering messages on weekends from a concerned mom. This is a great dental office and I would highly recommend.
