I've been coming here for many years and they have always been the most professional, organized, and timely with each session, both with cleanings and more in depth dental work. Dr Thomas also stays up to date on the latest advances with dental practices and procedures which has been great.

Always felt like they were trying to up-sell me at every teeth cleaning, asking if I wanted to close the gap in my two front teeth or have whitening procedures done. Insulting.

DO NOT come here unless you want to be tricked into paying a lot out of pocket. I told the receptionist Diana that I did not want anything done that my insurance wouldn't cover. She then showed me a paper showing exactly what I was getting done and then said that I wouldn't have to pay anything because I "have really good insurance". After getting what I needed done, I get a bill in the mail 3 months later saying I owe way more out of pocket. Horrible front desk.

Dr. Thomas and his staff are amazing! They are very welcoming and examined my teeth thoroughly. I came back for a crown and several fillings, and I never thought going to a dentist would be such pleasant experience! They even had chairs with massage which I've never seen before. I was worried about my insurance especially since they are out of network, but they gave me a clear estimate for different options and made the whole process hassle-free.

Even with covid, I felt safe because they had strict protocols in place and sanitized between every appointments. I will definitely recommend him to uc davis students or anyone in the area.

I have a fantastic new crown and night guard thanks to Dr. Thomas and his highly-skilled team. Getting a crown is a big commitment of time, energy and money but Thomas Dental Care not only gave me a crown that fits well and looks good but handled all the insurance without any effort on my part. The lab did not prepare my night guard to Dr. Thomas's standards so he required a complete replacement. I have enjoyed this attention to detail and focus on high standards for almost 20 years.

A while ago I was here. I feel like they took advantage of me being a student to convince me to spend more money and be happy about a service I wasn't happy with.

I've been seeing Dr. Thomas for over five years now. My experience has always been great. All of the staff, from the receptionists to the hygienists and to Dr. Thomas himself, are very friendly and attentive and give me confidence I'm getting some of the best dental care available. I have had sensitive teeth since I was a kid, and several large fillings.

The hygienists are patient with me during our regular cleanings while doing great cleaning and maintenance. I've also had two crowns done by Dr. Thomas, and he was always aware of my sensitivity and provided more numbing when needed during the procedure. I will continue to go to Thomas dental care as long as I'm in the area. They have done great at keeping my teeth healthy and making each experience a positive one.

Absolutely terrible experience! On the phone they assured me that they took my insurance so I scheduled a cleaning and came in. They took x-rays and the dentist examined my teeth. When they were done with that they told me that I would need to book a second appointment for the cleaning! So I would have to leave and come back to have my teeth cleaned. I've never been to a dentist that made you leave and come back for a cleaning after just taking x-rays. Worse than that, they gave me a bill for just the X-rays and oral exam as I was leaving and it was over $200! Turns out they weren't affiliated with my insurance and charged me a fortune before even cleaning my teeth!

Overall it was a very inconvenient and expensive experience. I do not recommend this dentist and sincerely suggest that you examine other options in the area before calling the closest dentist to you, like I did.

I am 68 years old and have lived in Minneapolis (36 years), Austin(13 years) and now Davis(one year). I have had 6 dentists treat me over the past 48 years. So, I have some data that I can compare. Dr Bruce Thomas is the best dentist I have come across in 48 years. His diagnostic skills are formidable. His treatment options are very comprehensive and thorough.

His hands are those of a highly experienced professional. The entire staff at his practice are highly professional, skilled and very humane. What more can one expect from a dentist. We are extremely fortunate to have Dr Thomas in Davis. As a community we owe a big thank you to Dr Thomas to have decided to practice in Davis.

Dr. Thomas is an excellent dentist. I have been going to Thomas Dental Care for the past 3 years and have to say that this is best experience with a dentist ever! A friend recommended Dr. Thomas and I am so happy she did. I live in Folsom so driving to a new dentist in Davis was not something I was too excited about but I now know that this was a great decision.

The worst dental care I have ever experienced. We can start with the insurance mix up. The "health care professional" if you can even call them that, at the front desk somehow mixed up my paperwork with someone else's and was trying to blame me for the wrong insurance information, and that was AFTER she was attempting to charge me without insurance!

I seriously have never been treated so poorly at any dental/medical appointment. I just went in for a routine cleaning, and Dr. Thomas and whoever was assisting him may have been a little rusty that day, because I have never experienced so much pain from just one simple cleaning. I'm not sure if they just had the tools on too high, or what. But, I will never be returning to this nightmare dentistry. I'm sure there are plenty of other places around this side of Davis that will start with at least treading their customers with some respect!

There is a great deal of extreme anxiety for me when going to the dentist due to some past experiences I've had. Dr. Thomas is a very calming and gentle dentist. He and his staff are very friendly, understanding and comforting! I highly recommend Thomas Dental Care.

Dr Thomas is very knowledgeable. He is the only dentist that I trust. There is a very relaxed atmosphere with massaging chairs. It has a mellow radio station of 60s and 70s hits.

I was referred to Dr. Thomas by family members and have found the staff and work to be exemplary. Friendly, efficient reception; multiple electronic reminders; painless and effective treatment. So yeah, easy recommendation for anyone looking for dental care. Thank you Dr Thomas and staff!

I'm currently a UCD student and had an emergency the other night. One of my front teeth got knocked out and I didn't know what to do. I quickly searched yelp for a competent dentist and ended up here. Best decision I've ever made. Excellent service, great dentist and Dr. Thomas fixed my tooth painlessly. If you are looking for a dentist, or go to UCD, please check out Dr. Thomas, he is excellent.

I called about 15 mins ago and I'll start by saying my experience was not the best from start to finish. I didn't catch the name of the lady I spoke to but she had a heavy accent. I inquired about orthodontia and asked if they offered both services (Invisalign and Braces). I asked her if I can go in for a consult. I told her I was only available after 3:30 and she stated it wasn't possible and she would give me a call back after something becomes available.

Then she also stated that due to me only being able to come in after 3:30 I should reconsider going to their office. Overall, I didn't feel welcomed when I spoke to her and I wouldn't consider going in for a consultation because the way this lady handled a new customer wasn't welcoming at all.

Dr. Thomas is AMAZING! My friend, who has seen Dr. Thomas for nearly 10 years, referred me to Dr. Thomas 3 years ago, and I feel so blessed! I moved to Bay Area once I graduated from UC Davis. My dentist in Bay Area were really impressed by Dr. Thomas's work for my teeth. I ended up still coming back to Dr. Thomas because he knows my teeth and problems so well. Also, he did miraculous job for SAVING my two challenging teeth from root canal. Dr. Thomas also teaches at UCSF, he is very innovative in technology, and keep learning new techniques for his patients. His dental care is truly state of art!

Dr. Thomas is a good dentist. Very kindly. However, there are a few things that you need be aware of: (1). This center is not in PPO network. UD SHIP student insurance will only cover 60%. If you are a UC Davis student, do not come here! (2). THEY DON'T DO ORAL SURGERY! I called them to ask for removing my wisdom tooth. They said they can do, but I need do an examination first.

I made an appointment for exam and X-Ray. I asked how much it will cost in total. They said $40. When I receive the bill, it is $200! The $40 is my share after insurance not the total of the bill! Then they told me that they can not do the extractions! I need go to another center. What? Seriously? (3). Not honest! The front desk is covering information!

I asked if they are in PPO. They told me yes on phone call. I asked if I can do the oral surgery for my wisdom tooth. They said yes. At end, they deny anything. Tell you the Out of pocket cost and try to cover it as the total bill. I feel so sorry for a good doctor to work in such place.

Great dentist! Dr. Thomas has been my dentist since I was a kid and when I left to the army I missed his care. Now that I'm back I refuse to go anywhere else. The most careful even when you aren't the best at taking care of your teeth.

Dr. Thomas and his team were very nice, professional, and efficient in their work! They were very conscious of my class schedule and made sure to take me through my exam as quickly as they could (without making errors). Also, he had some pretty modern technology for finding cavities, which made me feel much more confident that he would find any and all imperfections. Also, they were very accommodating to any scheduling issues that I have and made sure to schedule me in for another appointment that fit my needs. I highly recommend Dr. Thomas to everyone in Davis!

Had such a lovely experience here! The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful even on the phone. Dr. Thomas was exceptionally great! He was extremely helpful in understanding what steps I need to take moving forward and what needs to be done soon. I usually feel intimidated by going to the dentist because I feel dentists frown upon poor dental care but not Dr. Thomas, he was very sweet which made it easier to take feedback! Will definitely be coming back here and I would strongly recommend this place, especially to UC Davis students who are covered by the school's insurance plan.

Dr. Thomas is excellent. I was a nervous dentist-goer before seeing him, and he has taken such good care of me that I'm not anxious about going anymore. He, and his staff, are all thoughtful and caring when it comes to dental care.

It is a great experience here. They did a dental examination, basic teeth cleaning and teeth whitening for me. I am satisfy with the whitening result. They are very nice to explain everything. And they offered me different kinds of treatment with different price. The best part is they never force me or encourage me to choose the most expensive one. They just explain every method and let me to make the decision. I highly recommend Thomas Dental Care to people who need some dental treatment.

Have been here a couple times, and each time I leave, I am super happy with the service I receive. Everyone on staff here is so nice, and Dr. Thomas makes going to the dentist a little less scary. I was having some sensitivity from a recent filling I got back at my home dentist in Southern California because I cracked my tooth during a trip in Europe (don't ask). Dr. Thomas took an X-ray and found that there was a small gap in the original filling and was able to patch it back up super quickly.

My insurance wouldn't cover me for this filling, since I already got it covered back in Southern California, so the receptionist printed out a quote for me as to what I would have to pay to get it refilled. I love how clear they make everything. A week later, I received a call from one of the receptionists to ask how the filling was holding up and if I was still experiencing any pain.

If that isn't great customer service I don't know what is! They really care about each of their patients, and it really shows! Another thing I love about this place is how easy it is to make an appointment. Each time I have called, I've been able to get in either that same day or the next day. Especially in my case, it's great that I was able to get in very fast to fix this problem. Overall, I'd highly recommend this dental office for anyone needing any dental work!

Overall, I'm very happy with Thomas Dental Care. My mouth is pretty healthy so I've only been in for routine procedures. They accept my UCD grad student SHIP. Scheduling has been easy, and the administrative staff are pleasant. I have been to 2 hygienists, both were very nice and gentle on my mouth. Dr. Thomas is kind and professional. I had my first ever cavity filled here, and it was quick and painless.

They have recommended other more cosmetic procedures, but were not pushy when I turned them down. The only minor issue I had was that on my first visit, I hadn't been to a dentist in a few years (heh oops). The hygienist recommended I get a "deep gum cleaning" which would cost me $400 out of pocket, and required a few extra appointments and anesthetic.

I trusted her judgment as it had been quite a while for me. When I came in for the procedure, I was seen by a different hygienist who was surprised that procedure had been recommended for me as my gums didn't seem quite that bad. When she heard that I'd be paying so much out of pocket, she recommended I instead get an extra cleaning, which would only cost me $90. So while it turned out ok, what if I had gone to the original hygienist and never gotten revised advice?

What an awesome experience! I have always HATED going to the dentist, but going to Dr. Thomas for just a cleaning (and who likes those) was actually enjoyable. He told me what I needed to do, what I was doing well, and how to move forward with my general teeth health! I would reccomend Dr. Thomas to anyone who wants to get a holistic breakdown of their dental health to date, and how to move forward with dental hygiene! Dr. Thomas is the best!

Thomas Dental Care has provided all my of dental services for many years. I appreciate the excellence of their care, and their state of the art equipment and technique. I also value the way that staff go beyond the call of duty to make sure I have whatever I need, in an emergency. They are terrific!
