I moved to Placerville last year and unfortunately had an immediate dental emergency. Someone referred me to Dr. Whitaker, who took care of me quickly and competently. Since then he has become my regular dentist. I recommend him highly, and with gratitude.

Doctor Whitaker explains everything in detail and very caring. I was impressed with the entire process of having a crown installed. The entire staff was very professional, kind and friendly. My temporary crown fit perfect and the permanent crown is perfect. I'm looking forward to going back for a cleaning. I am very grateful for Doctor Whitaker's service. If your looking for a dentist I highly recommend Doctor Whitaker he and his staff are outstanding!

Dr. Whitaker has been my dentist off and on since I was a child, and he's the kind of dentist that you look forward to seeing. As a kid, his fun personality settled the nerves of having to go to see the dentist. I remember hearing other kids talk about how much they hated going to the doctor or dentist, and with Whitaker you just don't feel that sense of dread.

As an adult, he's a straight-shooter. You get in and out in a reasonable amount of time, I love all the hygienists there, and every cleaning is great. And Dr. Whitaker keeps me informed on the health of my teeth in a way that feels personalized. Additionally, he has gone above and beyond for me. There was an instance where my permanent retainer broke a few weeks before my regularly scheduled cleaning, and he was able to get that cemented back on to relieve a very obnoxious situation. I recently got back into town, and can't wait to get back in Dr. Whitaker's office for my next semi-annual appointment. Would recommend to anyone of any age!

I had my teeth cleaned and exams 3 times a year and this year I had three teeth that had to be pulled because the decay had NOT been noticed. Years ago I was told I should get another dentist but I did not know why. I have changed my dentist because I now know why.

Dr. Whitaker is very thorough and patient. I went to him as a first time patient in a lot of pain and anxiety. He was patient with me and explained everything. I ended up having to be referred out for root canal but came back for follow up and have been seeing him ever since. I love the care I receive by all the staff

I have been going to Dr Whitaker for many years and it has always been a pleasant visit. Dr is very friendly and thoroughly explains what he is working on. The dental assistant and hygienist are as well very friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone to use Dr Whitaker as their dentist. Dave Knudson

Dr. Whitaker has been my dentist since childhood, and now MY children are his patients. I am curious by nature, so I always ask seemingly random questions, and Dr. Whitaker always provides thorough answers filled with compassion and a deep understanding of his craft. I recommend him anytime someone around is talking about dentistry, and I would also recommend him to you.

Office staff and dental hygienists are kind and professional. But Dr Whitaker is brusque, cold and uncaring. I've seen him twice in the past month and a half for two cavity fills and he acts like someone who wants nothing to do with you. I asked him specific questions about the cavity filling process and not only did he act as through my questions were stupid, he simply did not respond.

At the end of the procedure he just got up and left without saying anything. Today I went back for another filling and went in thinking that perhaps he had just had a bad day. But no, he was a jerk. Same thing, didn't answer my questions with any care or legitimacy, and then up and left without word at the end of the procedure. His dental hygienist even apologized on his behalf.

I asked to speak to him but he said "no, he had already gone on to the next patient" I asked my grandmother who is also a patient what she thinks of him. She said that she had the same experience. I will not be back. Frankly, Dr Whitaker, you act like an asshole.

This office has some of the nicest people I've ever met in it. Everyone you come in contact with is happy and friendly. Dr Whitaker has a very calming style to his practice and thoroughly explains the procedures throughout the process. Additionally, they are great with children and my son Jack won't quit talking about his next dentist visit.
