Marin Periodontics provided me genuinely welcoming, top quality professional care with effective guidance through a tooth implant. Each and every staff person is friendly, fun, and extraordinary. And Dr. Ahn is skilled, excellent, intelligent, and delightful. I'm so pleased I got to work with this group.

Wonderful office staff and experience. While never a pleasant proposition to have a gum procedure, they made it as comfortable and smooth as possible. The procedure wasn't as bad as I feared and I'm so glad I had it done. Dr. Ahn has a calming, personable demeanor and knows his stuff.

They are not listed on any dental insurance plan, unless you pay for them as a "out-of-network." Hence overpriced because it is in Marin. Moreover every time I call them the line is constantly busy.

I come from a doctors family. I know how hard it is to keep to schedules. This office is the best run office I've been at! Everything went just great considering anything periodontal isn't fun. I was very impressed and highly recommend Dr Ahn and his staff.

You can have full confidence that these folks will professionally manage your situation. I found them to offer honest advice about potential outcomes, how long the process will take, and how much it will cost. Also I've had some extensive work done, and the pain management has been outstanding.

I would give Dr Ahn 10 stars! I was a patient for 2 years 5 implants 2 extractions Dr Ahn is a very caring and gentle dentist. There was never pain during or after any procedure. With five implants (bone needed) and two extractions, I had a number of appoints and no pain. Dr Ahn is very diligent with follow-ups after each procedure and he insists if there was any problem to call him immediately.

Undergoing a serious dental procedure is a daunting task. It's so important to trust that you're in capable, caring hands. I felt cared-for the minute I walked into this office. Dr. Ahn is authentic, highly skilled & efficient. Most importantly perhaps, he's an effective communicator with emotional intelligence. A great bedside manner makes a world of difference, especially in a dentist.

If someone I just met is going to put his hands in my mouth, only good vibes will do. I don't recommend having a serious dental procedure, but if it's a task that becomes necessary, as it did for me, then I highly recommend Dr. Ahn.

Dr. Brand Ahn is the best periodontist. He is very good at communicating with you, technically very skilled in his periodontal surgery, and his results are superb. His office staff are also great. I had periodontal surgery in two stages: 3 adjacent teeth each time. Right side, then Left side. The procedure is a bit uncomfortable but tolerable, and Dr. Ahn handles the anesthesia very well.

The post op recovery is multiple weeks, but again reasonable. Overall the results are excellent and worth the effort you make. Dr. Ahn has a great personality and you will enjoy working with him. I happen to be an M.D. so have some experience with medical and dental procedures. Everything is smoothly and efficiently performed in this office. Top recommendation.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Ahn and his superb staff. When it comes to periodontal work Dr Ahn is the best. Dr Ahn basically reconstructed the bottom left side of my mouth. It involved an infected wisdom tooth, bone grafts and implants. Now he is working on the lower right side. Dr Ahn puts a high priority on his patient feeling comfortable and pain free. Also, he ensures you have a clear understanding of what he will be doing.

I NEVER had pain while Dr Ahn was working on my mouth or after I left the office. I feel very very grateful to have had my periodontal work done by Dr Ahn. I highly recommend him to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Also a shout out to his staff they are the best.

Five stars doesn't do Marin Periodontics justice. I'd give them a thousand stars if I could. From the reception desk to the dental chair, everyone has been so amazing. Dr. Ahn is a top-notch doctor; with my "dental issues" I demand the very best - so I knew I was in good hands. I also have a lot of anxiety around dentistry - from this perspective, the ENTIRE office has made me feel at ease; remarkably, I don't even dread going there!

My dentist sent me to Marin Periodontics for a gum graft. After meeting with Dr. Ahn, I was informed I would need a total of four! That scared me at first. I honestly had no idea what a gum graft was and everything I Googled online seemed to be a horror story of how terrible the procedure was. So, I wasn't feeling too stoked about the whole ordeal.

Come the day of my first appointment (less than a week before Christmas, no less) I was jittery. But when I walked in, the receptionists were incredibly nice and welcoming. I only waited for a little bit before being led back into one of the rooms. I swished with some mouth wash, took two Advil, and then laid back in the chair, preparing for the worst. Oh, how wrong I was to worry!

The procedure started with placing some kind of numbing jelly/paste on my gumline and palate; this made it so I didn't feel the needle when the novocaine/local anesthetic was administered. I did feel a little discomfort when the needle hit my gumline, but that was only because my gumline was so sensitive. And in all honesty, that little pinprick was the most painful part of the whole thing.

At the start, Dr. Ahn asked if I wanted him to talk through the procedure to know what was going on, but I opted not to, thinking it would be better not to be totally aware for when he was cutting into the roof of my mouth. I kind of regret that now, because I did not feel a single thing during the whole procedure and found myself thinking more than once, "What are they doing?" because I could not tell!

There was a minimal sensation when it came to the actual suturing, but it wasn't even uncomfortable, just a sensation. The procedure for a single graft took under forty-five minutes. I was surprised -- but in a good way, having thought I'd be stuck in the chair for over an hour! They sent me home with an ice-pack and instructions to take ibuprofen when needed.

When the novocaine wore off after a few hours, there was some slight discomfort later on that day/night in my jaw, but I wouldn't say it was painful. And that might have also had to do with the fact that I had a cavity filled only thirty minutes prior to the gum graft. Just slept with an ice-pack, and that did the trick. The next day, however, I felt completely fine.

No pain or discomfort and minimal swelling. My fears of not being able to enjoy Christmas dinner were pointless, as I was able to eat everything as normal -- though with some slight caution. My two follow-up appointments so far have gone fine and have been quick, too. The first was to have the sutures removed and the second for a check-up. All is healing well, and have my next gum graft scheduled for next month.

I would have scheduled to have two done at once, but didn't for insurance reasons. Highly recommend coming to Marin Periodontics. Everyone here is very friendly, informed, and good at what they do. As someone who doesn't even like going to the dentist, I have absolutely no qualms with coming back here. 5/5 :)

From the moment you walk into the office you are warmly and professionally greeted. I procrastinated in making an appointment as I have high anxiety relative to any dental type appointments. The entire staff worked as a team professionally and compassionately to address my needs. I highly recommend Dr. Ahn and his entire team!

Wow. I can't speak any higher of Dr Ahn and his entire office. Everyone is extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable. I was SUPER nervous to get my first implant and most of all it being one of my front teeth! Yikes! However, after my first visit I knew I was referred to the right place. Right away after sitting with Dr Ahn one feels at ease, and confident in the amount of expertise and knowledge he has.

I feel lucky to have found Marin Periodontics for my extremely tricky procedure and can't speak highly enough of Dr Ahn and his team! Thanks Dr Ahn! From a forever loyal customer, however, let's hope I don't see you too often, right? Haha

Dr. Ahn performed my 2nd gum tissue graft in June. While some of the difference may be due to 20 years of technological advancement, this experience was far superior. The office is clean and inviting. I was well prepared for the procedure by Michele. The procedure itself was painless. Dr. Ahn and staff were accessible for questions before, during and after the procedure; all are capable and friendly. The results were outstanding. I recommend Dr. Ahn and this office highly, without reservation, and with great enthusiasm. These are very capable hands.

Don't waste your time trying to see Wonder Woman at the movies. I've met her in person -- three times now -- and she's at Marin Periodontics. Her name is Christie, and she performs miracles. She also takes the time to help us understand her processes and educate us about how to better help ourselves. Actually, the entire place is populated by exceptional people of every stripe and category -- from the front desk, to the very finest Oral Surgical Professionals.

Every one of these Doctors, and attendant support staff, are extraordinary -- not only because of their special expertise, but also because of the manner and style in which the office functions. This place -- and the folks who run it -- are thorough, warm and reassuring -- all while managing a welcoming, lovely and peaceful environment. Not so incidentally, their cutting edge techniques and treatment have saved this patient from serious loss. For me, the difference has been measurable and enduring. Can't say enough about this entire team; and the Professionals who show up there each day.

Recently had a painfree tooth extraction--from start to finish all I felt was the prick of the Novocaine. Can't guarantee you will have same experience, but Dr. Ahn is excellent, his staff is kind and professional and thorough. I've been seeing periodontists quarterly for more than thirty years--this practice is as good as it gets.

Everyone in this office- the reception desk, the assistants and the breathtaking Dr. Gasper herself deserves 50 stars for their professionalism and sincerity. Fit me into their schedule within a couple hours of calling and solved all my problems. Flexible payment options and amazing staff. Thank you to each of you, especially Divina and Dr. Gasper. I've seen Dr. Ahn over the years for several procedures and I highly recommend him. He is an excellent periodontist along with just a really nice guy. He has THE BEST office staff too. So on top of it and always just as sunny & friendly as can be. They are really as good as it gets and I recommend them without hesitation. Thank you all at Marin Periodontics!

I went into Dr. Ahn's office with much apprehension because I knew I was going in for osseous surgery and a possible tooth extraction. My gums were "pared back", my teeth cleaned, a tooth extracted and gums were then stitched. Sounds painful, doesn't it? I left the office in absolutely NO pain, had minor discomfort during the night (Dr. Ahn telephoned to check in on me in the evening) and I awakened this morning with my mouth not causing me any discomfort whatsoever. Great staff (Thank you Erin and Joanne) and a very calm, professional and painless periodontist is Dr. Brand Ahn!

Dr Ahn just put in two implants for me. PAINLESS. no kidding, i've had paper cuts that hurt more. Best (and most surprising) doctor or dentist experiment of my life. I no longer have any dental surgery fear.

I have seen Dr. Ahn for a couple different procedures. He is an amazing dentist. I had to have a tooth pulled, which is a very stressful procedure. Dr. Ahn put me at ease from the consultation to the end of the procedure. He explained in detail what exactly was going to happen during my consultation, and he repeated it step by step during the day of surgery.

I ended up having some pain after the procedure, and I called him after hours, and he called a script into the pharmacy for me. He saw me the next morning for a follow up appointment to confirm that I was healing alright from the procedure. I recently had to get a deep cleaning for a tooth that has really been bothering me. He always takes a conservative approach first which is so great.

I really enjoy Dr. Ahn's bedside manner. He is very informative about your options, he takes a conservative approach first and the office is very helpful with scheduling and financing if you need it.

I'm in the middle of the process of having a tooth removed and in a few months, will have the implant in place. Even though the process is not complete yet, I am confident writing a stellar review for Dr. Ahn and the Marin Periodontic Group. I'm really nervous when it comes to dental things. I hate going to the dentist. Dr. Ahn was very calm and confident about thoroughly explaining the procedure.

There was no question that his recommendation of treatment was the way to go and that I was in the right hands to fix this problem. His team working with him is also very helpful with my LOAD of questions. Never becoming impatient. I don't know if everyone has this many questions.but they didn't make me feel high-maintenance at all. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Brand Ahn perform some dental surgery on me a few times this year. First, I needed a molar removed because the tooth had cracked and was not savable. After a few months, the bone healed and then it was time to have the implant put in. I was nervous about it, but the procedure actually went very smoothly and comfortably! Dr. Ahn used some nitrous oxide to keep me relaxed, and made sure to take his time with the numbing part.

The procedure was fast and painless and everything was done in a very professional manner. He and Fran, his assistant, did a fantastic job! I would recommend him to anyone who needs periodontal work or surgery!

I recently had 3 implants put in by Dr. Ahn at Marin Periodontics. The procedure went extremely smoothly and fast. Dr. Ahn explained everything very clearly and calmly. There was no pain during the procedure. I highly recommend him. My general dentist has worked with Dr. Ahn a lot and says that his implants are consistently very well placed. I don't have my crowns yet, but he showed me the final xray and the screws look really straight.
