Oak Park Dentistry for Children & Orthodontics has been providing comprehensive and preventive dental care to the children, teens, and young adults of Westlake Village, Simi Valley, and the surrounding areas for more than 35 years. Throughout this time, we have been striving to raise our first and second generation of patients without cavities and gum disease by way of education and incentives for excellent oral hygiene. Our doctors are conservative in their treatment practices, planning for the most efficient and predictable treatment time by using clinically proven, state-of-the-art dental and orthodontic treatments.Little ones benefit from dental hygiene education, preventive cleanings, fluoride, and sealants, while patients of all ages can take advantage of traditional metal or clear braces, lingual braces, and even Invisalign clear aligners.
Dr. Gelman was born in the Ukraine and moved to Los Angeles, CA when she was ten years old. She received her Bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Michigan. She then moved to UCLA where she received her dental degree and completed her pediatric dental residency. Dr. Gelman has provided her services for the Give Kids a Smile foundation and the UCLA Venice Clinic. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Jane Yu grew up in Southern California. She received her Bachelor's degree in music from the University of California, Berkeley. She attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where she received her dental degree. Dr. Yu received her training in pediatric dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Alisha Paletsas grew up in Simi Valley and currently loves being a part of the Conejo Valley community. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physiological science with honors from UCLA and continued at UCLA School of Dentistry to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Alisha then relocated to Hawaii where she completed her pediatric dentistry residency program through NYU Lutheran Dental Medicine.

Can't say enough shiny things about this office, and it's staff. My children LOVE Dr Joey, and are never sad, or scared, when we have to go to the dentist. They are all so nice, and caring. I also appreciate that they discuss procedures, and pricing prior to service. Amazing environment. All of the gold stars, plus 1.

My twins just had their first visit there. Dr Joey and Mari and the rest of the staff were amazing! So great with my kids, made the visit not so scary for them! They sang to them, gave them prizes at the end and were just so nice and professional. They also sent us pics of the visit. Highly recommend Oak Park dentistry!

It was my daughters first appointment here, she's three years old. She immediately felt so comfortable from the moment we were greeted out front, to teeth cleaning to check out! Miss. Patsy was so sweet and patient with my daughter who asked a whole load of "whys". Patsy kindly explained her whole process and really had my daughter engaged every step of the way. Dr. Pedram was very kind and expressed any concern to keep an eye on regarding my daughters teeth. We are returning in 6 months and my daughter is excited about it. We really lucked out! Have to write about how awesome Dr. Joey is. You will not find a more personable, kind and genuine dentist in him. You can tell he loves what he does and knows how to work with children. Our three kids love Dr. Joey and look forward to seeing him. It is a testament to how good he is with children. All three kids, started coming here around the age of 4 and never had a negative view about going to the dentist.
