Tooth pain is not uncommon and can be the result of many different dental and non-dental related issues. If you have a cracked tooth, an untreated cavity, or swollen gums from an erupting wisdom tooth the pain can become unbearable. There are multiple ways of treating tooth infection and pain, so it's important to have your tooth examined as soon as possible.
Teeth whitening or bleaching is the use of chemical oxidizing agents, sometimes combined with the use of an external lighting source; to lighten tooth discolorations from aging, stains or just general discolorations. Several types are available and we will help you to decide which fits your specific needs best.
Botox is priced per unit. On average, each unit costs about $10 to $15. If you receive up to 20 units in your forehead, you could be looking at a total of about $200 to $300 for treatment of horizontal forehead lines. In general, Botox lasts 3-4 months. There will certainly be patients in which in lasts longer, in that 4-6 month range, or shorter, in that 2-month range.
You may need to schedule an adjustment of the filling. After a root canal, the tooth could still have some inflammation that may cause discomfort if you are chewing hard on the tooth. A simple adjustment can relieve the tooth and allow you to chew more comfortably. Your gums can be sore from the injections for several days.

If i could give 0 stars i would have. Been a patient for 15 years, i have tried to call to set up an appointment for an extraction, i have called twice a day for 2 weeks (i have private insurance), they will not return my calls. Today i went into the office to set up an appointment and requested to speak to the office manager who could not speak to me because she was in the middle of a verbal altercation with a caresource patient that she put on hold for 2 hours. she refuses to set up appointment for people who have been with them for years then she throws them out if the practice because they dare complain about her unprofessional practices smh. definitely needs to be fired.

Came here about last year and they literally have me terrified to go back sick it's the dentist in the Dayton area that takes my insurances anyways I was there getting a root canal done I could feel everything I was screaming and crying the Dr had the nerve to tell me if I didn't quit screaming I'd have to leave with a hole in my mouth. Why not just numb me better than what you've done smh.

Horrible experience, I had my upper lip sliced during procedure and overall staff was very rude and seemed very annoyed with everyone. I'll never go back. It's sad that this is the ONLY dental surgeon on Medicaid on the Dayton area, shame on you!

Dixie Dental has gone under new ownership and construction. The new office is called Dayton Dental Care Unlimited and is updated with more efficient services. Highly recommend this place for anything from routine cleanings to full sets of dentures!

So back in 2019 i i had a load of fillings done then everything seemed okay, besides my first visit while i i w shaking and crying nonstop in pain because i wasn't nummed. The assistant just put blankets on me thinking i was cold. Well i call several times after then saying a few of my teeth hurt, and there was a smell when i flosses. The told me i wasn't flossing well enough and that was me still getting adjusted to the filling.

Well i go back February of this year because im still in pain and turns out the exact teeth i complained about have abscesses. Now its August, im still dealing with pain to where i cant eat properly but cant afford root canals and will most likely loose these teeth. I would not recommend this office for anything other than a tooth pull.

Had two root canals done and even though I was left there long enough i had to be numbed twice thought they did a decent job. Until I got halfway home and discovered that I had 3 deep cuts in my tongue that has so far left me to barely be able to speak. I feel like they could have warned m. Its not like I wouldn't notice. Definitely would not recommend.

Absolute WORST dentist. Not only did I have to wait a month and half after 4 of root canal/fillings came out. This is last time I will ever go there. I had appointment at 8 am and did not see me until 9:45. This has happened multiple of times. Office manager wouldn't even speak to me. They said multiple excuses as to why it takes so long. Mean while 10-15 people check in after me and are seen. This place is unprofessional and not qualified to dental work period. They could care less about their patients problems. I would not chance your teeth and or time them.

I have been seeing Dr Atkin to do a upper denture and a low partial. I was told to be at the office at 10am for a impression. They were a hour and half late then as I walk in the receptionist was rude and telling me they don't accept my new ins. Apparently she didn't know what she was talking about. Only bc I paid cash for temporaries was i able to go back for impressions.

I immediately called my ins company when I got home. After some research and ins company calling the office speaking with a specific person we found out that they did accept my ins. So I go back in today and the same receptionist said the same thing again and was rude about it. I had to call the ins co while sitting in the waiting room and after looking up notes prior to the current visit the ins again calls and speaks with a specific person and it was in fact approved. Today, I was sedated while 10 teeth were pulled. Luckily, it went smooth and Dr. Atkin and back staff were really good with me. However, the receptionist or ins coordinator should know more about what they are talking about.

Not to mention, if they didn't take my ins why don't they call to inform you. In may case, I live fairly close to Cincinnati so it's bit of a drive to get there. I go back in 2 days to get my partials and a follow up visit. I'll post more Monday after my visit. My only issue was with the receptionist. She should have politely excused herself to talk to management instead of staring at me like I was stupid.

The entire staff from the reception desk, the dental assistants, to the dentist are friendly and helpful here! Every time I have an appointment they have been professional (they even send a text reminder which is helpful), accommodating to my family's needs, courteous and friendly. Dr. Atkins and his staff are conscientious and committed to providing good quality dental and most importantly to me they are kind. Something that is often overlooked in the hustle of today's society.

I was recommended this place by a friend and I should have seen the signs (were both on Medicaid). She had multiple root canals on teeth she never had issues with. Then I figured out how he was able to. When I came in for a cleaning he instead did four root canals and no cleaning, on teeth I never had a cavity or even damage on, they were healthy and in perfect shape.

He never spoke to me once about what was going on and left me in the room so long the numbing agent wore off. When he started breaking into my teeth it was very painful. I had a root canal done in the past that was done by another office and instead of it being relieving and feeling way better it was sore and painful. Those four teeth now have to be pulled because the damage and botched job done on them has caused them to break completely off, leaving only the root left, broke in half and two of the teeth were never even capped.

The one that broke in half clearly has been rotting from the botched root canal. My insurance now will not cover the damage done to my teeth and I will be suing for the cost of the repairs and/implants. All of this occurred in 2017 and after hearing how much it will cost to repair and replace the teeth I've decided this will be a lawsuit.
