Services
At Oklahoma Wisdom Teeth Center, we use digital x-rays, which have several advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated. Large on-screen x-rays make patient communication more effective.
We look forward to meeting you and serving your dental needs. When you call our office, we will be happy to answer your questions about what you can expect from Lloyd A. Hudson, DDS, MD and our dental team, as well as collect insurance information and advise you of any financial responsibilities. You will also find our New Patient Forms under that heading as well.
For our patients with dental insurance, we are happy to file those claims for you. Your co-pay and deductible are due at the time of service. Please remember that verification of insurance benefits does not guarantee payment. If your insurance company denies the claim and/or does not pay in full within 60 days, we require you to pay the balance due. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at (918) 392-9970.
What Does a Dental Implant Involve? The gum tissue is opened to expose the bone area where the implant will be placed. In situations where there is insufficient bone structure, bone grafting may be a recommended procedure. Once healthy bone has been established, a special drill is used to prepare the bone to receive the implant.

Having my wisdom teeth removed could not have gone better thanks to Dr. Hudson. I was referred to Dr. Hudson because my lower right wisdom tooth was severely impacted and the root was touching the jaw nerve. To be honest, I was a little nervous about this surgery, as it was the first time I have been under with anesthesia. The process went remarkably well.

The pain was very minimal afterwards. I didn't need to take any of the prescribed pain medication and was fine with just ibuprofen. I kept the holes where my wisdom teeth once were clean from debris (using the syringe they provide) and my mouth healed up very quickly. I highly recommend this Oral Surgeon.

As I'm sitting here recovering from my wisdom teeth removal this morning, I feel I really have to give this place a shoutout. I was referred there by my orthodontist because he said my wisdom teeth had begun to get impacted and, though I wasn't in any pain yet, it would be good to have them out. From my first interaction with this group, I was extremely impressed.

When I called to get more info and schedule my appointment, the desk ladies (I mostly spoke with Christine and also Karen maybe?) were so pleasant and helpful. They talked me through what the procedure was like, what to expect as far as cost, insurance details, and more. They had great attitudes and fabulous customer service. They even squeezed me in with just a week's notice so I could have it done before I went back to school, which I more than appreciated!

When I went in this morning for the procedure, I could not have been more comfortable - and that's coming from a total pansy when it comes to doctor visits. The desk lady was once again very pleasant, even at 6:45am. The staff that was helping the doctor were all very nice and explained everything as we went, making me feel very comfortable. They also offered me hot blankets - nice touch!

I was very cozy and comfortable. When it came time to get the IV started, the doctor came in and introduced himself to me. He was VERY kind and good at calming me down. I felt immediately comforted with just the way that he spoke to me, answering all of my questions in a gentle and calming voice. I warned the doctor and assistants that I have a tendency to faint with needles.

They put me on oxygen and put me in a position to prevent fainting and the doctor talked me through the whole insertion. I was so, so grateful for that - I pretty much always faint when needles are in my body, so I don't think he understands how nice it was to not pass out! After the IV was in, I remember nothing except him saying he was giving me happy juice.

I woke up in the recovery room with my mom and boyfriend there in no pain and cuddled up in a blanket. In my drugged state, I didn't even realize they had already done the procedure. They were yet again helpful and comforting in giving my family and I instructions for discharge, removing the IV, etc. I am now at home, happily on pain meds, feeling a little sore and craving solid food but also very, very thankful for a knowledgeable and professional medical team.

The year was 2013. I bit into the piece of chocolate -- "OUCH!" I exclaimed. Pain was shooting through my mouth. "This happens every time I try to eat chocolate." I said. "I can't take it any more" I needed wisdom teeth cut out. I had previously had one removed by Donal Woodward. That buttlord shared information with my mother -- something I expressly forbid him to do.

I wouldn't be seeing him again. Back to Hudson. I needed the surgery done quickly. I started work in a week. They fit me in after only two days' wait. I left early, as all the buildings on that stretch of street look the same. I knew I would get lost. Once I found the place, my wife and I checked in. There were Thomas Kincaide paintings on the wall. "This is a bad sign." I thought. Thomas Kincaide is garbage.

I hope they buried his bloated, corpse upside-down. After a short wait, a very pretty dental assistant led me to the operating room. It was scary, but no scarier than any other dentist's office. That is to say, it was terrifying to someone who hasn't seen a dentist regularly in 10 years. The assistants were very nice. They kept me calm, gave instruction, and we waited for the dentist.

He wasted no time in putting the IV in my arm. "Versed, " he told me. "Goodnight, " he said. And with that, nothing. I was out. Asleep. No dreams, no nightmares. I awakened approximately 45 minutes later. The dentist informed me that he had to give me extra drugs. I'm a fighter. I came to pretty quickly, feeling refreshed and not sore in the slightest.

Nobody wants to wake up from a drug-induced nap sore. Not in mouth or butt, especially. He gave me a prescription for some delightfully heavy drugs and sent me on my way. That was yesterday. Today, I feel almost no soreness. There is no swelling. My only regret is that he didn't let me keep my teeth for jewelry. I'll have to get a human teeth-necklace from somewhere else.

But no worries -- policy is policy. And I have pretty teeth. I wouldn't be surprised if some dental assistant wanted a necklace of her own. In summary, I will be seeing this dentist for any work I need done in the future. He's nice, he knows what he's doing, and he seems to grasp the finer points of HIPAA. Two thumbs up, five stars, whatever.
