Dr. Steffen received his dental training at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to a private practice, Dr. Steffen maintains an academic presence lecturing and teaching.

For the longest time the only treatment options available for people with missing teeth were bridges, partials and dentures. Dental implants changed this, and in many situations gave us a much more acceptable and predictable option.
Whitening stained or discolored teeth can make all the difference in your smile. Mottled enamel is another common problem and is characterized by defective calcification that gives way to white chalky spots that can gradually turn brown. Whitening in conjunction with micro-abrasion is a less evasive option than trying to cover dark and or mottled teeth with a crown or veneer. Less is often best when it come to a beautiful smile.
Healthy and beautiful teeth start with digital x-rays, which help detect cavities much sooner and also help us look at bone levels around the teeth. If more information is needed, a 3D scan can be taken of the area giving us even more information when using specially designed software. There is an added benefit with digital x-rays versus conventional x-rays in the exposure rate being 1/6th that of conventional x-rays.

Dr Micheal Steffen is by far the best dentist located in or near Tulsa. I had dental implants done in 2017 and the dentist really screwed my mouth up. I went to 10 different dentists to try and get them fixed and all 10 just wanted money and couldn't fix them. Dr Steffen not only fixed my implants he built me a spare set. He went way way above and beyond what was needed.

I've been with Dr Steffen since my previous dentist, Richard Hudson retired. They were partners in the office. So we are talking a LONG time-- 40 yrs? Michael has taken excellent care of my family's mouths and I would never go elsewhere. His staff is very professional and excellent in their work also. It's a great place! Thank you--Dr. Steffen.

I have been going to Dr. Michael Steffen for nearly 30 years. He is an excellent dentist and always does a very professional job. I have had several crowns done by him that involved removing very large old fillings and preparing the tooth for the temporary cap and then permanent crown. Each time I have never felt any pain or experienced any discomfort or problems at all as he always does an excellent job!
His dental hygienists are topnotch as well! And so are all of his assistants and office staff. Everyone is so friendly there. Steffen Dental is the best dental office in all of Tulsa! AAA+

14 appts. In the last 17 months. Still not done correctly. Last 2 appts. 1st in July in the chair 4 : 30 hours for impressions. 2nd August 3rd almost 5 hours in chair he says my snap ins need relined. My implants were put in Sept of 2015 I'm sure my gums haven't shrunk in a month since first of July to the third of August. I've never heard of it taking 17 months to finish this procedure it should take 4 to 5 months. Be sure to record your appts I have. I will filing complaints with both national and state boards. Plus civil court.

BEWARE: Michael Steffen DMD did absolutely nothing for me, except put a collection claim that shows on my credit report. It has been there for years, without my knowing about it. He isn't even a cliet of the collection agency he sent my personal id to. And they parted ways with him. What could he have done to a collection agency to make them quit him?
The gals in his office have told me they would call the collection agency and have the entry removed. However at that point in time they knew they weren't doing business with that agency any longer. Steffen is one of the reasons I do not get medical care of any kind in Tulsa.
