Took my 10 mo old for a cleaning- he had so much fun with the tools! Water, suction, polishing brush. Thankfully we went 30 min after he had woken up from a nap! Very informative about how to clean his mouth at home, and about sugars, acids, and cavity- causing bacteria! Feels good to set my kiddo up for success:) previous: Went in for a consult about frenectomy (if my baby has a tongue- tie), to help with breastfeeding. Attentive, made sure they got all info needed, before diagnosing.
Also explained clearly, the benefit of releasing tongue and upper lip; they are leaving the decision up to me. Gave me tips on helping w latch, and encouraged me to see how the next week or so goes before making my decision. :)

Dr Courtney and Dr Noora were absolutely s wonderful with my son for his dental surgery! I felt very comfortable with him in their care and they made sure I had all of the information I needed for before, during and after the surgery. We travelled from Odessa to bring him here, and I would absolutely travel here every six months for his cleanings and check-ups

Absolute great experience with Dr. Susie. I took my newborn to get his tongue tie released and revised and it was always great customer service from the first call to the follow up. They were very gentle with my newborn and very helpful with any questions that I had. Absolutely recommend for anyone that needs to get their child's ties revised.

5 literally EVERY. SINGLE. VISIT. They avoid trigger words like "shots" "extraction" "crown" and "blood" for the littles while still communicating exactly what's going to happen at each visit. Each cleaning and procedure we've had could not have gone better. Dr. Courtney relieved so much of my concern today by expertly getting us through a tough procedure. I'm so grateful for the practice and for their mama hearts for treating each patient like they'd treat their own children. Thank you thank you thank you!

I spoke with Tiffany on the phone about my concerns for my 5 month old having a tongue tie, and she told me they always make time for their littles patients and got me in the very next day! Everyone I spoke to, including receptionists, and kind and helpful. They were gentle with my baby checking for ties and interacted with her and made her feel safe. Dr. Susie was great and informative and answered all my questions. I'm very happy I was referred here! Will definitely return

Great experience for our first time here with our 18 month old. Everyone from the employees I talked to on the phone, the one who walked us in from the car, the dental hygienist and dentist were great! Very professional, nice and pleasant employees! The office was very clean! I definitely recommend this dentist office and will be going back!

Love this place and love the staff. They are kind and patient with my son who gets very stressed about being touched as well as the sounds the tools make in his ear. They have TVs overhead and ensure that they talk and inform the patient of everything that is happening so the kiddos can be prepared. We have been going here for 4 years and love it.

My son loves going to the dentist. He always says, "I do not know why kids do not like going to the dentist. I love going to the dentist." I tell him because we go to a really caring, friendly, and professional place that cares about his teeth and him. He just smiles and wishes he could return sooner than later.

We had a great experience with my daughter whom had a Lip and Tongue revision. Everyone was great in helping her. The staff is super amazing they will go above an beyond. Dr. Hayden is awesome. Super communicative in explaining and trying to make sure we got the best results. I also took my 2 yr old for his first Dental appointment and I had to admit I was really worried but they did great with him. So happy with this place. We will continue going for their follow ups.

My almost 2 year old went in today to get her lip tie fixed, all of the staff for this procedure were extremely patient with her, and made her feel as comfortable possible! Everyone was so knowledgeable in this area I was at ease during this process. Everyone just has such a calming demeanor that puts me and my baby at ease! My daughter will definitely be a patient here until she grows out of this place

We love Dr. Susie! She and the entire team at stone oak pediatric dental are so wonderful. Dr. Susie is amazing! She has such a kind disposition, especially when dealing with children. She made my son feel so comfortable during his procedure. She is very knowledgeable, when another dental office wanted to sedate my son for a procedure he needed to have done she took a more conservative approach, and I am so glad she did.
She commented on how good my son did during his procedure, but one of the reasons he was able to remain calm and relaxed is because she and her comforting nature helped him. Thank you Dr. Susie!

I took my baby here to get her lip tie and tongue tie procedure done and the staff was amazing. They walked me through the whole process thoroughly both on the phone and in person. Staff was super friendly and caring. I always had access to someone if I had any questions about the recovery process and they gave me tons of resources to ensure we could successfully continue our breastfeeding journey.
We are now exclusively breastfeeding successfully and I can't thank them enough. My insurance was not in network and I had to pay out of pocket, but it was 100% worth it. My experience with them was so great that my husband and I want to take her back when she is older even if we have to pay out of pocket. Also, the inside of the clinic is set up super cute.

To say that Dr. Susie Hayden and staff provide THE BEST DENTISTRY IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. They go above and beyond anyone's expectations in the care of children's oral health. I only wish they did adult's too, then I would also be a patient at Stone Oak Dentistry. They have the top of the line equipment and the most advanced procedures.
Not to mention an amazing staff! From the front desk to the hygienist- these people know their stuff! Dr. Susie is everything a parent is looking for in the care of their children. VERY EXPERIENCED & HIGHLY COMPETENT! In addition to being a genius at dentistry, Dr. Suzie has a kind nature. She takes time and truly cares for all children. My son never feels nervous or apprehensive to visit the dentist ever since going to Stone Oak Pediatric Dentistry. I can't say enough about the high-quality services this office provides.

My child was very anxious and needed lots of treatment. Dr. Alexander made him feel very comfortable and was able to complete treatment without causing any traumatic lasting effect. She was very patient and very gentle. She did a wonderful job prepping him and comforting him during every procedure. Her assistants were also fabulous! They also did a wonderful job and made my child feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Alexander and her practice. She is highly skilled, nurturing and truly cares for her little patients!

This was our first visit to Stone Oak Pediatric Dentistry and we loved our experience. From the time we walked through the front door until we left we could not have had a more positive and/or successful experience. Unfortunately, our daughter had a deep cavity that required a crown, which I know even as an adult can be an intensive procedure; however, Dr. Courtney patiently reviewed the options with us and then she took the "afraid" factor out of the equation for our 8-year-old daughter with her professional, calm, and caring chairside manor. Of course, the flavored gloves and movie helped, too! : I give Dr. Courtney our highest recommendation and truly thank her for taking great care our daughter!

I absolutely love Dr. Courtney Alexander. She has been amazing with my son who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has also been wonderful with my squirmy little girl. (My son is almost seven and my daughter is 2 1/2.). Dr. Courtney never rushes them or gets impatient with them. The office is warm and inviting and kid-friendly. I've been to other pediatric dentistry offices where they cared more about the aesthetics of their office remaining posh - but come on!
It should be inviting for CHILDREN! Children don't care about handblown glass figurines! Well, THIS PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY practice has TWO beautiful, inviting, clean, fun, friendly offices - one in Stone Oak, and one off of I-10 near the Dominion. I love them both, and so do my kiddos!

First they told me they take my insurance, and then I get a huge bill on the mail! Be aware of this! The facility was ok, staff not that friendly for a kids office, Doctor was ok, but you can tell it was all about money, and at the beginning I didn't understand, and my insurance was covering everything according to them, and then when I get the bill asking why was I billed so much money, then they tell me, it's because we don't take your insurance! what? after they said they did.
For sure I switched my kids to a way better doctor, honest and you can tell he is not interest it on my money, but the dental health of my kids. I don't Know if the Doctor was aware of this, but she needs to make sure she has well trained staff, so they can avoid this kind of errors!

From the minute you walk in the door, you know your children are in good hands. My kids love it so much, they ask me regularly when they get to return. They are begging to go to the dentist. My oldest child visited another pediatric dentist in town when she was 2 and it was a terrible experience. I asked all of my friends for a recommendation and Stone Oak Pediatric Dentistry was the overwhelming favorite and for good reason.
From the front reception to the hygienists to the doctors, you will not find more kind, caring, and competent people! It's been 16 years now and my daughter has "aged out" and she refuses to see any other doctor. You know it must be a place of great care and comfort if your kids have this kind of response. Can't say enough good things about the practice.

I brought my girls for their routine cleaning. I'm kinda on the fence about this office. It seems to be more about the frills. My girls have been patients for nearly two years. We had a long term dentist prior to moving to San Antonio. He saw extrat teeth in one of my girls mouth, and figured it may be required to pull them. We came to this office only two weeks later as we had moved.
The dentist was not able to find the extra teeth that our prior dentist clearly showed me on every prior x-ray. On a recent visit, I asked the Dentist about a spot on my daughters tooth, and neither the Dentist or the hygienist noticed it. They only found it once prompted. Looking for something better at the first opportunity. I think it's funny that they tell you not to give the kids popcorn, and then offer a bag of popcorn to you before you go!

I would give this dental office no stars, but you apparently have to give a star. At first appearance they seem friendly etc. They play into what the clientele of the area want to see and hear. i could go into further discussion, but more importantly than anything is the negligence I experienced. In light of the little girl dieing in Hawaii under the care of a Pediatric Dentist I feel I have an obligation to share my story.
My son was brought to Dr. Susie at approximately the age of 3 and I was told he needed extensive work in the office due to many cavities. I brought him back and stayed in the room with him, while he was administered laughing gas. It was 30 minutes before she came in to do any procedures and he was not responding well so after drilling she stopped and said she could not do anything further.
We then went to leave and he began feeling ill and lied down on the floor rolling around. I asked what was wrong with him and she quickly dismissed any responsibility citing that he must have been ill before coming into the office. Once strapped in his car seat he began throwing up uncontrollably, with his eyes rolling up in his head, and I drove straight to the ER ( which I was fortunate was close by) where he was give oxygen and nausea medication.
I have since learned that he was likely given too much gas and he was not given the proper reversal of oxygen. The way I understand this is you can be given too much and displace the oxygen causing illness or even death. Realize that you are your child's protector. Understand that just because a Dr. has gone to school longer that you, they are still people who can become complacent and make mistakes.
Read the article about the little 3 year old in Hawaii who died. NEVER, have major dental work done on a child in an office away from a hospital in case there is an emergency situation. An office is not equipped to deal with problems such as cardiac arrest. They will have to simply call an ambulance and transport the child. I was lucky, we later had dental work done at a hospital with a carefully selected anesthesiologist. Don't be to trusting when it comes to your child's safety and ALWAYS get a second opinion!

My son went here for almost 3 years, every 6 months. The past 2 visits, I was informed he had two cavaties on each visit. I became suspicious of the cavaties on the 2nd visit because we had been taking excellent care of his teeth; in addition, the cavaties were reported to be between the teeth where I was unable to see. I decided to go for a second opinion as these cavaties are costly to repair.
Upon examination by the second dentist, it was reported he did NOT have any cavaties, but had a few areas "to be watched" and was given a fluoride treatment to be used at home. When I returned home, I called Dr. Susie to tell her about what I considered to be insurance fraud. I was livid at the thought of my son having to sit through 2 unnecessary fillings! Dr. Susie fully backed her associate stating everything from simply bring overcautious with that area to there being an "angulation" issue with the X-ray meaning they looked worse on her X-rays than the other dentist because of the way my son was sitting. I am extremely disappointed with this office. I believe their priority is making money and not the care of their patients.

My children love going to the dentist because the dentists and hygentists here make it so fun, inviting and not scary! My youngest would not sit in the chair by himself the first couple of times so, they would let me hold him and just talk him through every thing they were doing, they would show him the tools and how they worked and eventually it wasn't scary anymore.
They are very patient and understand that it can't be forced! They have all kinds of toys, movies, balloons, prizes, toothbrushes, flavored gloves, everything to make it more fun for the kids. I live 30 minutes away, but I don't know another dentist closer that would be worth switching too!

This is the BEST in San Antonio. My youngest (5) was worried about the x-rays. The tech asked her why she was afraid and took the time to make her comfortable before doing ANYTHING. My oldest has cavities. Their #1 concern is making her comfortable during the procedure. They have TVs with the latest DVDs and private rooms for anything more involved than a simple cleaning.
At the end, the kids get prizes, balloons and a new toothbrush. The waiting room is awesome. They have toys, books, puppets, a video game console, and a popcorn machine. They even have a Keurig for the parents! I now live on the other side of San Antonio. We will continue to drive a half hour to visit these wonderful people for as long as my children need a pediatric dentist.

Dr. Susie and her team are one of the best in San Antonio. We have been coming to her office(s) - she also has a location by the Dominion - as soon as the kids had teeth. I cannot express enough how much patience and compassion she has for the kids and their teeth. She is awesome! If you have kids who have a fear of dentists.this is the place to go.
You walk into a "jungle".really, a jungle decorated waiting room, complete with movies, video games, playsets.everything to keep your kids' minds off of what they went to the dentist in the first place. Everyone there are truly amazing. Wish they had "adult" versions of this.like, maybe a salon for women while they wait.;-)
