My 5 year old daughter had to have some work done today and Dr. Pam and her team took such amazing care of her! They made her feel safe and comfortable and she didn't get anxious or upset once because they supported her through the whole process. My family is so grateful to have found this wonderful dentist and will continue to have Dr. Pam work with both our children to ensure they're teeth stay healthy. Thank you Dr. Pam!

My son has a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist after some negative experiences elsewhere. We are so pleased with Under the Sea! They helped my son feel safe and at ease so that they could complete the cleaning. They explained everything to him and were so calm and patient with him. Thank you thank you!

The staff were very friendly from check in to check out. The technician was super gentle and great with my one year old, and Dr. Pam is excellent! She was very informative and great at making the exam easy and fun. I'm so glad we were recommended to go here! I would recommend Under the Sea dentistry to anyone with littles.

My son was put to ease by the wonderful team and dentist at under the sea. He had some dental work done and it was great from the moment we walked in all the way through the treatment process. Treatment plan was explained so that we can easily understand and set up. We won't go anywhere else now! Thank you Under the Sea Dentistry!

We have been patients here for over 5 years and have only great things to say about the team. My daughter is now 9 and gets genuinely excited about going to the dentist. The team is careful and thoughtful and do an excellent job at making the kids feel comfortable while providing an excellent level of care. Love them!

Absolutely wonderful place. Very friendly staff, appointment was right on time. They are honestly so nice and make you feel super comfortable. My daughter had her first appointment there and she kept talking about how great was her first experience and how she was excited to go back for her next one. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff and really know how to engage with my 5 year old. It is really fun to see how your kids interact with other adults that are not family coming out of Covid. Not only are they great at dentistry but they have talent in keeping my daughter happy and interested in the process. The office is really fun and decorated over the top and it kept my daughter and I looking all over and having fun if we were waiting (maybe 4 min). Love Dentist Pam and will be back.

I brought my children here on a recommendation from an orthodontist office. The hygienist was very kind to my children, and made even my most anxious child (diagnosed with anxiety) comfortable and happy. The dentist was gentle and thorough and took the time to go over my areas of concern twice to make sure everything was okay. I don't have any issues following the COVID protocols. Having only one parent and no access to a waiting room are par for the course at this point. We had a great experience and I would recommend.

From the moment we walked in the staff made my two year old feel welcome and comfortable. Vanessa brought us back to an exam chair where she took time to introduce my child to dentistry. This was his first visit to the dentist and he wasn't sure what to expect. Vanessa took as much time as my child needed to introduce him to each instrument and made it fun. He's looking forward to his next visit, as am I. Wonderful care from Vanessa, Dr. Pam and all of the staff. I highly recommend Under The Sea Dentistry!

I recently brought my toddler here for a first appointment. If the goal, as I'm constantly told, of a first dentist appointment is to get a kid comfortable with the experience and place, then this experience deserves a negative 5. Some of it is Covid issues- their waiting room is closed, and they only allow one parents (which they didn't tell us ahead of time in spite of me asking for info, so my husband had to wait in the car).
But some is plain unacceptable. No one made an effort to get on her level and introduce themselves and engage her. We were left waiting for over 30 min, and this is on top of the over 20 minutes we waited outside. All in all, it took over an hour to be seen for about 1.5 minutes. You know who isn't known for patience? Young toddlers. When I was clearly struggling to keep her in place (there is nothing for them to play with and no doors to contain them), not a single staff member came to engage with her or help calm her down.
And I didn't have my partner to help either. No steps were taken to ease her in, comfort her, engage her, NOTHING. I understand kids gets upset with medical experiences. But as a pediatric nurse, I ALSO know there's a lot we can do to make kids comfortable and feel empowered and secure. The only progress we made was with ideas I suggested, and absolutely none were provided by the staff.
To call this a kids clinic is laughable. It may as well be an adult clinic with silly decor, because frankly it seemed like the staff had absolutely zero idea how to engage with a young child. It would be one star except for the nice front desk lady on the way out who took the time to say hi and engage with us as we left (And inform us their computer systems were down).

Wonderful! Highly recommend even during this challenging time. I'm sure when they can operate as usual it will be even better. My highly cautious and observant 3 yr. old son was very at ease with Noel the Dental Assistant/Hygienist? And he let her do everything and even enjoyed conversing with her. He's very friendly and likes to "chat". When she was done with her part to call in the dentist, he jumped off the chair ready to go expecting needles or frightening tools when the dentist comes in.
He's dental history was being seeing at Everyone By One in Bellevue, WA by Dr. Chung----highly recommended, too. Now seeing how this place is run, I think Under the Sea Dentistry I can see how my son was comfortable with the hygienist and expecting pain with the dentist. At Everyone By One they laid out their collection of possible tools the dentist could use on a tray (it was a full tray), while at Under the Sea Dentistry, I only saw about 3 tools and they did not look frightening.
My son was more reserved and protective with the dentist in preparation for what may come. The dentist was very cheerful (it was helpful that you can actually see a big smile in her very bright eyes), gentle and patient with him and that was very helpful to get him at ease. We actually had an appointment with Storybook Dental that I had to cancel because my son was afraid of their decor.
Under the Sea Dentistry decor is not only cute and fun, but even educational. While waiting for the dentist I was identifying the sea life that I knew the names and telling my son what I knew about them. He enjoyed it and said he was "happy" to be there. The cute little shark sticker and mini bouncy ball was a bonus parting gift that my son liked as well and I'm sure appreciated that it wasn't spooky themed to him. Looking forward to the next visit. If and when the clinic gets to operate like they usually do, I'm sure my son will enjoy it even more.

My son will be 11, we have been taking him to see Dr. Pam Butler he was 18 months old for his very first check up. We love her, and she always has great staff that really take your care of my son. Thanks to her training me to teach my son good dental hygiene he hasn't had a cavity. My son also enjoys going there, he has never had a negative experience.
